Love this, both epic writers and interesting to see the dialog. Erikson is solid, clear and confident. Williams is animated, inquisitive and empathetic. Stephen R. Donaldson is a true master and would be great to hear his comments.
I'm not sure if the filmer is one of those talking the background, but it's annoyingly rude. It's almost impossible to hear what they are saying when they talk over them at certain points.
I'm sorry you feel that way, and I apologise. Some of it might have been me. But: - I went to the event primarily to enjoy myself and spend time with friends. I did not have to record anything, and I did not have to post anything, so maybe be happy that I did at all instead of complaining? - You complain we were rude? Well, your comment is not all that polite either.
Thomas Covenant is certainly not an easy series to stick with but it is genuinely challenging in its themes. At first I had a problem with it because the world the main character finds himself in was so derivative of Middle-Earth but it ended up differentiating itself with its unique main character and so I'd recommend people read it for sure.
Not better than Tolkien, better than Jordan in some regards, overall better than Martin, in everything other than coherency of narrative, so I guess I half agree lol.

Sorry for the rude comment. I meant to get back to you sooner to say I'm sorry, but kept forgetting.

Steven Erikson is amazing. If you like the genre, you'll like him. Better than Tolkien, Jordan, and Martin.
The scope of Erikson's world is just unfathomable, awe-inspiring and simply just breathtaking...a true triumph of fictitious literature!!!
Paul Wanat absolutely, I like only Feist more
I'm offended that you put Erikson in the same sentence as that fat lazy troll known as 'Martin'.
I'm offended he put Erikson in the same sentence as Feist. Feist is king of the hacks.
