Love the Inspiring talk with added Humour. It definitely reminds us to not see people with disability as with a disability and to see them as a person. They are more than just that disability and their disability is not what defines them as a person. TEDx Talks allows this beautiful reminder to be spread. There is a YT Channel called SBSK and he interviews people with all kinds of disabilities and their families. He is trying to bring a society with inclusivity and to normalize society. Thank you for the Beautiful and Inspirational Talk Paul and Femke.
I feel for you Paul.Keep fighting. I like how you are using comedy to help others learn about this syndrome it made me want to watch the video more so I think it’s affective. 👊😂
Love the sound effects (and content). I’m a fellow locked-in syndrome sufferer. Keep fighting!
damn.... i hope you recover man
Thanks! The sound box was made by my students from the University of Twente. It costed only 30 euros or so. Find some creative nerds to replicate :)
Keep on keeping on! 👊🏻
“Seeing someone is not something you do with your eyes, it is something you do with your heart “ -deep!
Totally stolen from or inspired by The Little Prince though from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry ;)

Your shtick ( Ted Talk) gave me energy to care without worry for my friends that can't respond immediately. Patience is a virtue. Sincerely G
Schtick?? Are you being sarcastic?
Does he use the letter board?👏👏 He has amazing outlook!
Yes he does. And assistive technology as well. At home, he can write emails, operate lights and TV and browse internet. :)
Zo waar!
It's curable keep trying
I wonder if Elon Musk's neural net can be of any assistance to people with locked in syndrome
yeah, no
If it works and can be developed by 5000 x to reconnect and stimulate multiple areas. It’ll be a while
bruh he was moving
Yes, fortunately Paul regained some function in his left tumb and neck. When he laughs or cries his body spasms in a reflex.
