One of the things I hate is when artists resign/"fix" characters and say "I'm much better, I saved this horrible character design, Look how better my design is, I'm saving this character". It sounds so condescending and prideful. I have seen people do redesigns of Steven universe, Amphibia, the Owl House and Hazbin Hotel and their redesigns were really wonderful. But the moment an artist says "I did it so much better, hire me instead" the beauty of the art gets wasted. I get that those are popular medias but still. Redesign popular characters but be respectful. And when it comes to smaller artists and you want to "fix" their art then ask them first before doing anything or giving criticism, no one wants to see their art being torn apart with no reason especially small begginer artists. For example I want to improve my art but I don't want to see people redesigning/redrawing it claiming that they fixed it. Better give me advice on how to improve instead of subconsciously calling my art shit by "fixing" it.

Ok lets be serious no art teacher in the right mind would do that since it will transform the art class into math class. I understand because I got some hate comments but I’m glad that people are not fixing my art because I don’t wannabe in the drama and I have autism and it’s hard for me.
This helped a lot because I'm a cosplayer on tt, and I saw someone race swap VIP Ace from genshin impact, and I tried to tell them to not do that since it's not okay, and the person was rude and I got annoyed so I made a video abt it because I wanted to make them aware that it's bad, and you know what happened, I got a hard dose of getting told to "grow up" and people shamed me, causing me to want to quit cosplaying and to not post anymore
i know this is about digital art but my friend does this to me. ALL THE TIME. its so annoying and i tell him not to but he continues to do it and hhhhhffggggghhhhhfhhh!!! he takes my sketchbook and “finishes” my sketches im working on and if im having trouble on a certain part he takes it and does it for me. the problem is we have two very different styles (mine is pretty detailed and his isn’t) and he uses a lot of pressure when he draws with pencil and it’s so hard to erase and i don’t want him to.
I also saw someone get mad at “tumblr character designs” which was basically just characters with a lot of bright colors But then they put the character side by side with CLEVELAND from FAMILY GUY And that just makes no sense The character they said had a “tumblr character design” looked like it was in show with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GENRE. It also looked like it was younger. A “tumblr character design” wouldn’t fit in family Guy, and Cleveland wouldn’t fit in whatever show that was
I just found you, you’re so underrated. I agree with everything you’re saying. I myself, am a young artist and people at my school “fix” my art, even when it’s my style, and I like how it is. Also new sub❤
I remember i once mentioned puririkas actions in a comment section saying they have a amazing art style and art and that it's sad she's problematic and somebody told me they only hate purirka because of their art and not puririkas actions 💀, they said they don't care about puririkas actions and acted like the art did something so bad 😭
When you said “all people are beautiful and there’s nothing to ‘fix’ about them” I about cried, due to new insecurities coming up statements like these mean so much more to me than they have in the past ❤
I hate when I'm drawing at school and someone says "can I add something" "I can draw better than that" "you should add ______ " One time someone in my class said "I could draw better than that" he litterly drew a stick figure a 3rd grader could draw better than and had the audacity to say that it was better and a "masterpiece".
Okay, but “you should add” thing is pretty harmless. They are just thinking of what you could improve (hopefully in your art style world) and if you don’t like what they suggest, just say, “oh, I’ll think about it!”
All my characters have 4 fingers and sometimes I don't add mouths to them, there's this person always asking me why do I give them 4 fingers or wants to add mouths to them or "fix" the mouth I already put for them,it really angers me sometimes especially the mouth part, they also trace over my art.Im glad someone actually talked about this! Forgot about the art style part very glad someone talked about it, because some people need to realize that there is many different styles and not everything needs to be perfect in their eyes or needs to be "their" style.
I totally agree! "Fixing" other people's art is wrong (especially when the person might not want their art "fixed"), we all have our individual art styles and just because someone's anatomy isn't "cOrReCt" *Doesnt* mean you can just "fix" it. But it's different for people asking other artists to fix their art, other artists "fixing" (not rlly fixing but like giving a lil criticism) can actually improve the persons art! (ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ARTIST FIXING IT SAYS "This is just for MY art style" INSTEAD OF JUST CHANGING THE ENTIRE THING AND HATING ON THE ARTSTYLE) Also tysm for sharing your brush codes, rlly kind of you!
In my opinion, I don't think "Fixing" art doesn't help the Artist in question since for me, this isn't a proper Criticism but rather put down the Artist because their artstyle or art isn't "good" or something like that. Art is meant to represent the person or something depending of what you are trying to represent in your art. It doesn't have to be "perfect" or "aesthetically pleasing". In the end of the day, art is something that you should enjoy doing and have fun expressing yourself by making art (Sorry for my Bad english btw-)
When ever I draw something and show my friend she always comments on it saying it’s “weird” or “the eyes are to high” and that she hopes that if anyone sees it they only focus on the rendering which is REALLY ANNOYING but one time she got so disgusted by my drawing she literally took it and started “fixing it” she just changed my whole drawing into her style but worse which was kinda sad cause at the time I was really proud of that draw :( But the worse part is that she’s done this to my beginner artist friend and giving her horrible advice like “stop using references” but the funny part about that is everyone thinks she’s a really good artist because she has 2k subs of YT but the only reason she’s has that much is because she draws people pfps/ using references. But it’s gotten to a point we’re I don’t want to share my art anymore and instead of making me want to do art and improving it’s more straying me away from my luv of art and probably the worse part is that I thought her how to draw in the first place cause I wanted to share my luv of art with her to :(
Focusing on the art style of someone problematic is so weird to me because it's not like their art style itself is bad. it's their actions so we should focus on that! There's probably lots of people who draw in a similar style to that problematic person and then they start getting hate just because of their art style and people assuming they're a bad person too. I don't really like the term "proshipper art style" for that reason because i really dont think you can judge someone's character just based on their art???
OFF TOPIC BUT AHHH THE ART STYLE CHANGE!! its like im watching u grow and i feel old as hell 😔 proud mum vibes fr (im probably younger than you) BUT ITS SO GORGEOUS NONETHELESS!! great video as always!!
It seems this "fixing" art phenomenon extends past the art community too. I'm especially frustrated with the Sonic community's obsession with "fixing" renders. They think because they don't personally like it that its bad and must be corrected. Like not all these renders are my favorite either but you don't see me being an ass about it. It especially pisses me off when the "fixed" version just ends up being made to match the Uekawa style with little regard to how its supposed to work in 3d space. They act like the Uekawa style is the "correct" style and see anything that deviates from it as inferior. Them treating this style like a god is also usually why they complain whenever any promotional art shows Sonic with slightly shorter quills or whatever even though Uekawa himself has also drawn Sonic with slightly shorter quills like bruh.
I specifically remember drawing something cute for my ex, but then he proceeded to pick it apart (the color scheme especially) while on a Discord voice call with me and a mutual friend of ours. What made things even worse was that he recolored it later, too.
tbh the only art fixing that I see a LITTLE validation in is fixing problematic art, like an art of toxic/problematic characters/ships, etc. the others is just crap
I've seen this same south park problem art "fix" and the comments are like: "THANK YOU!" and crap like there's problem art, BUT 'Fixing" art isn't good either

I think you should make a video about how peoples art is being called proshipper style or The Mlp infection AUs sorry for saying this twice 😅 (P.S i love your content)
Tbh I feel bad for the people who like realistic art cuz I always see people “fixing” the art like I may not like realism myself but I wouldn’t go as far as “fixing” it to my style (btw if anyone is curious my style is more of a cartoony style with sharp lines if that makes sense)

I also saw someone get mad at “tumblr character designs” which was basically just characters with a lot of bright colors
But then they put the character side by side with CLEVELAND from FAMILY GUY
And that just makes no sense
The character they said had a “tumblr character design” looked like it was in show with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GENRE. It also looked like it was younger.
A “tumblr character design” wouldn’t fit in family Guy, and Cleveland wouldn’t fit in whatever show that was
I think I know who you’re talking about. The guy I’m thinking of is called BlackLightJack.
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THE BRUSH CODES I NEED THAT BLENDING THING 😭😭
I hate when I'm drawing at school and someone says "can I add something" "I can draw better than that" "you should add ______ "
One time someone in my class said "I could draw better than that" he litterly drew a stick figure a 3rd grader could draw better than and had the audacity to say that it was better and a "masterpiece".
Okay, but “you should add” thing is pretty harmless. They are just thinking of what you could improve (hopefully in your art style world) and if you don’t like what they suggest, just say, “oh, I’ll think about it!”
@@KidcoreEbbs I know, I love having suggestions but the tone they have when they say it in is rude
@@Onibi_87 ok just letting you know
I love watching your vids while I’m drawing cuz it’s so inspiring to see your art while creating my own
All my characters have 4 fingers and sometimes I don't add mouths to them, there's this person always asking me why do I give them 4 fingers or wants to add mouths to them or "fix" the mouth I already put for them,it really angers me sometimes especially the mouth part, they also trace over my art.Im glad someone actually talked about this!
Was I the only one who wanted to see the end result of the speed paint? 😭
Art fixer's when i take both their heart and perfectly functioning livers to "fix" them:
i love your new artstyle! its just as charming as your past one, although you can clearly see the improvements!
So true why can’t we just keep the original art as it is
It’s been a moment since I’ve watched some of your commentary videos and I love the new character stills!
When ever I draw something and show my friend she always comments on it saying it’s “weird” or “the eyes are to high” and that she hopes that if anyone sees it they only focus on the rendering which is REALLY ANNOYING but one time she got so disgusted by my drawing she literally took it and started “fixing it” she just changed my whole drawing into her style but worse which was kinda sad cause at the time I was really proud of that draw :(
But the worse part is that she’s done this to my beginner artist friend and giving her horrible advice like “stop using references” but the funny part about that is everyone thinks she’s a really good artist because she has 2k subs of YT but the only reason she’s has that much is because she draws people pfps/ using references.
What made things even worse was that he recolored it later, too.
not related to the topic but I absolutely adore the drawing in the speedpaint you put on the background of this video
The painting you did In the background was sooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!! I loved it
Ok but can we talk about how much bre has grown I remember when she only had 7k and I adore her new style once my inspiration still is
I love how your avatar looks now! Your style is so charming.💚
It’s like the pros hipped drama. They say they’re “fixing” it, but really they’re only “fixing” it because they don’t like the person.
tbh the only art fixing that I see a LITTLE validation in is fixing problematic art, like an art of toxic/problematic characters/ships, etc. the others is just crap
I love your art style so muck omg it’s so it’s just so cute!
I've seen this same south park problem art "fix" and the comments are like: "THANK YOU!" and crap like there's problem art, BUT 'Fixing" art isn't good either
also they changed the skin tones....
People who fix art without permission is like cooking something you like and someone cooking it the "right way" even though it's not what you wanted 👨🍳
Ur art looks like the jelly artsyle tbh and it looks ADORABLE
I had people try to fix my art by grabbing it and ripping it up and slamming my head against a wall and ripping up my sketch book this happened when I was in art school it’s really hard for me to be comfortable around people nowadays 😢
OOOOOO I LOVE THE WAY YOU RENDERED THE PIECE IN TODAY'S VIDEO IT LOOKS SO COOL
I think you should make a video about how peoples art is being called proshipper style or The Mlp infection AUs sorry for saying this twice 😅
(P.S i love your content)
MY FRIEND [USED TO BE MY FRIEND] SHE WOULD ALWAYS "FIX" MY ART..
Tbh I feel bad for the people who like realistic art cuz I always see people “fixing” the art like I may not like realism myself but I wouldn’t go as far as “fixing” it to my style (btw if anyone is curious my style is more of a cartoony style with sharp lines if that makes sense)
i hate when people draw my skinny characters EXTREMELY buff and make the skin of my tan characters wAAAY darker than the character actually is. I have no clue why but this always bothers me and feels mocking ?? In a way, like huh? Do light tan and skinny people not exist 💀??
I love how your artstyle changes with every video
Ik I LOVE her artsyle a lot and i like how she explores different art styles aswell
I love your new editing / art style!! so cool!!
The thing that I hate the most is when the “fixer” believes themselves to be morally superior, wish people learnt to mind their own business
Staup this new artstyle is so pretty what😭
Also you're already at 20k! Congrats :D
Hey! I’ve been watching you from the start on my tv at night! I Love your commentary and your my fav RUclipsr you inspire me a lot! I’m thinking of making you fanart but idk if I would be good at it :’)
Unrelated but I’m really sick but I’ve been watching a couple of ur vids and I actually feel better. Thanks for getting rid of my headache🫶🏽🫶🏽

i agree on the points in this video, another great vid!!
1:26 not Gus bro 😭
Tbh, the only time fixing art is ok to me if is someone asks for help with red lines to figure out what they can do to fix wonky proportions and such.
Ik this is off topic but I LOVE your artstyles :3
Guys wake up new vid dropped
*Wakes up*
off topic but your art is so pretty

Love the new art style
bro u r one of the most underrated creators :3 thx for making content XD
Thank you so much 🖤❤️

hey figured i'd *TRY* to give a tip, i'd recommend making ur ocs have multiple colours instead of one like just purple or smt like that and try learning color theory if you havent ex: blue + red, but if its for ur style then keep doing what ur doing :D
thank for the tip, though its only some pieces where i do this because i like having set color themes (where in this case the theme is pink&purple) since i find it appealing :3
@@BreDrawz YO I DIDNT THINK YOU'D REPLY - and np:D i find tht it looks good too just figured i'd give the tip! do you have any tips you could give me? im trying to improve my art lol
I love your videos! Hope you get more attention in the future, ur very underrated
Your art is amazing!
The only time I “fix”art is when my little brother asks me to fix something for him like the second eye 👁️ or something
2:21 IM SORRY BUT IT LOOKS SO CUTE AND SILLY CUZ IT LOOKS LIKE THAT NOSE IS THE MOUTH-
Why would fix someone’s art if they didn’t ask for it? 😢
I Remember back When I was a childhood before I Drawings and redraws to My young siblings, but now I'll be lost after we move out.

As a gacha creator who likes making creepy gacha stuff I never got the fixing thing but I did get made fun of in my early stages and sometimes got alternative stuff of my creations so I get it
