- If your D22 Frontier, also called Nissan Navara in some countries, is not starting and you want to figure out what is wrong with it but do not have an OBD scanner then this video is a must watch. An onboard diagnostic scan usually communicates with the brain box of your D22 to tell you what is wrong. Those units are expensive and people rarely own one. However, I will show you how to read the error codes that your D22 gives without the need for any scanner. Thus you will be able to troubleshoot any problem you having with your D22. You can also use the same steps in this video to check other areas of your vehicle for defects and problems. In doing these things, please note my disclaimer in the video.

Thanks for your comments. At the end of the video I show it briefly. You can freeze the frame at the end to see it or check your manual. There may be some online as well just do a Google search. If you are still having trouble finding it let me know and I will look for you.
@@JBsManCave Thank you my friend, thanks to you I was able to repair my D22. Codes 0807 (stop switch) and 0403 (accelerator position sensor). I repaired the stop switch and I used a contact cleaner for the accelerator pedal. I did 400 km and the fault warning light no longer lights up ! Code 0505 when I test. I'm happy especially that it's a work vehicle.
Alain, glad it worked out and I especially did this because I knew there would be other D22 owners who would be as frustrated as me about not having a scanner to check what is the error on their vehicle.
My frontier d22 can crank but wont start its that a sensor crank problem?

It should, best way to find out is to give it a try, at your own risk.

Can you clear error codes using this method?
@Preshalen naiken I believe you can, while it is flashing the codes you remove wire and then put it back for 2 seconds. Then it should be clear.
Did not know you could do that to get error codes from a vehicle
Some tricks to the trade but is far easier if you have a scanner.
