Also, against Spider-Man. He beat her one time in the comics and she got so scared of him she literally got PTSD from the experience and had nightmares about him. Every time she'd see him afterwards she would run on sight until she actually fought back and lost again while Spiderman held back on her out of pity.
It's mostly accurate. In the older comics, Titania actually put up a decent fight on occasion. On this show she pretty much goes down within a few seconds. Every time. It's boring. I know the budget is small, but they could at least make the fights better than "slipping on ice". Maybe I'm just nitpicky. 😔
@@Termite30 and what's worse is they made the confrontation exactly like a scene from the movie bridesmaids like come on your one opportunity to make the fight look great and the writers chose to write the fight the way they did .....what's worse is it did not feel like a fight between two superpowered beings which is weird as hell
@@brancorocks Because Titania is really not that powerful. Not even in the comics. She's the butt of every hero's jokes when they "fight" her because she easily loses despite her strength. Characters like She Hulk and Spider-Man have embarrassed her repeatedly without even really trying. I'm sure even Captain America could whoop her if he tried.
I know right! Jabby seems to REALLY want this to be a serialized action adventure with maybe some comedy if there's time. If he'd allow it to be an episodic situation comedy, I think he'd like it more. He's a fan of friends, so you'd think he'd understand the sitcom format of a and b plots. Oh well. I really liked the episode at least.
In She Hulk comics, the supporting characters like Pug, Mallory do have important roles in some storylines. The legal team in GLKH law firm is pretty much Jen Walters/She Hulk's supporting team. Most likely, these characters are shown in this series to set them up for future appearances in other MCU properties. I might be wrong but if I remember correctly, Mallory in the comics had never lost a case until Jen Walters joined GLKH and beat Mallory in a trial involving Hercules.
Same here. We didn't really get much of any real development from Jen; she's still just as uncommitted to being a green hero full-time as she was in the last 5 episodes. Only comic-relief from Jen that doesn't move the story forward (filler episode). Whereas Nikki and Mallory are doing the stuff the main character should be doing. For a lawyer show, we really don't see Jen doing very much lawyering, compared to the supporting characters.
I'm mostly just disappointed they teased Daredevil ahead of time. No Daredevil and no post-credits scene on top of the episode being fairly bland was a disappointing combo.
@@vikramprasanna8908 cause the show is showing you guys hey look how much men complain on the internet, if we gad decent men we would have a great show but most of the times they just shit on the men because reality is we ha e alot of incels who instead of watching a show and then turn of when u sont like it, we have adult going online and complaing
I enjoyed the episode, not sure why it's getting so much hate. Maybe because I don't let my expectations ruin the show for me. I'm just enjoying my series and see where it goes. I like it!
It's basically man-children and the political people, both men and some women, trying to turn everything into "What about men?!" "Disney turned MCU woke" BS. Case in point look at the comments. They come running to spread hate on everything like an obsession
it's like people expect every marvel show/movie to follow the same formula or something. they can't just sit back and enjoy it for what it is. sitcoms don't have an overarching narrative or purpose other than to amuse.
What's funny (and a bit sad) is when you say you like something, and others that don't like it spend their time and energy trying to make you not like it anymore by analyzing everything. It's like, shit, you may be a fan of it, but they're psychotically OBSESSED with finding any more ways they can to hate it. There's something wrong with them deep down.
Can we get a debate between Jaby and Greg on this episode (or She Hulk in general)? You guys had completely opposite reactions haha. Would fun to watch! 😁
Greg is way more better than whatever Jaby is doing in his videos, honestly. Jaby is like that grumpy uncle no one invited but they had to bring him along. That's Jaby.
@@blackraven85_1 , yes, Greg explain things in more detail and elaborately, but he likes pretty much everything, everything is just fun for him. Thats his personality though, so nothing bad. Thats why I enjoy Jaby's reactions a bit more, since he is not really into anything and shows his dislike without hesitation.
I think the people with the big surenge for the blood draw may be from the A.I.M (Advanced Ideal Mechanics) from the comics in Iron Man 3. Who may or may not be working with The Leader.
It seems pretty obvious that they're setting up something with Mallory, so I don't understand that part of the criticism. It's fine not to like the episode (or the show), but I have a real problem with some viewers expecting a payoff in every episode with no set up. I've seen this complaint more and more with shows, and I wonder if it's because a lot of streaming shows drop the whole season at once as opposed to one show a week. It may be the reason Andor had a three episode premiere.
3 more episodes, and it still fills like filler, like come on, enough with the excuses, the show has no overarching plot, it's just Jenm does this for this episode and so on. I'm praying for Daredevil to add some excitement to this show because this week to week to wait for a subpar 25 minute episode? No thanks
I think part of it might be when you're watching as a comic fan is easier to go "Oh Mallory Book she's going to be a part of the cast" but if you're an MCU fan there's more "okay what part matters?!". There's a lot more characters in a format like this and the kind of obsessive Easter egg hunt people enjoy probably gets in the way of just watching the show. If this was a non MCU superhero sitcom people would just go okay here's our ensemble cast of lawyers. In the MCU it's going to land differently for some people. And yeah I'm not positive what's going to happen with each character, thanks to the MCU making accessible content for both comic and non comic fans, but it's easy to follow along. When you hear the name Rumlow in Winter Soldier, or even see the arm, as a comic nerd you can go those characters are going to matter. Or a character like Jimmy Woo shows up again, it's Jimmy Woo! It would be weirder if we didn't see him again. So Mallory Book is one of the better known characters who works in GLK&H and while not a super close friend she is tied in with Jen's career. So yeah we should expect her to have a larger role than just lady in the doorway.
@@lucifermorningstar5668 Because the show has nothing going for it except humor and silly subplots that no one cares about, like how is SHe-Hulk gonna be relevant with other avengers when she has nothing to fight for?
I had a good time with this episode. Thought it was one of the better ones. But will say they have set up so many stories and aren’t really touching on them
Interesting. I liked the episode quite a lot. I think not having any expectations for this show is allowing me to enjoy each episode for what it is. I liked getting know a little bit about Mallory and seeing Nikki is always cool. Last week was her & Pug and this week was her and Mallory. Also maybe it's just me but I felt like there was something between Mallory & Nikki.
Should you have at least some expectation that it is funny and entertaining or do these not count? I mean what does "not have expectations" even mean? When I watch entertainment I expect it to be entertaining, is that asking too much? Or are there some hidden requirements that have not been made public? Maybe I have to use a different screen, or watch it in a language I don't understand. Are we saying this is Love island type writing and that's the bar?
@@Ketraar Not having any expectations for ME...Zaddeus Smith...means, when I heard it was going to be more of a sitcom, "Ally McBeal" type of show...I stopped having any expectations that it would be one of the usual Marvel/MCU tv shows where every episode would connect to the larger MCU as a whole. I expected exactly what it was describing itself as...and it has been. It's a sitcom that just happens to have a Marvel character in it...and I've been entertained by that. Is it a slow butn...sure! But the fact is, we'll get from point A to B eventually, but like with most sitcoms, there'll be many more steps in between. I'm just sitting back and enjoying the ride Sorry you not liking the show but it just means the show's not your cup of tea...and that's ok.👍🏿 However...Love Island! 🤨 This show is NOTHING like that. 😆
@@TheRealZAD Well I also don't have any expectations to what the show is, I also like to consume the content the way its made. But it has to be entertaining. "Its not your cup of tea" can be said to pretty much anything, invalidating any criticism and that is just bullshit. We don't need to try and convince anyone of the others opinion, people do like the bachelor and shit like that, doesn't make it good, it has other reasons why its entertaining for some. She Hulk is just bad. Its not a sitcom because its not entertaining, especially the last 3 episodes nothing really happened. All you get is a tease to possible future interesting stuff, meanwhile you get 3 filler episodes. Its not a comedy because its not funny, jokes are flat, outdated and the social commentary is cringe worthy as its unearned and inconsistent. I could go on and on, but I think I made my point. Anyone can like stuff without reasons, but dont go out and place the burden on "me" to like it because I expected it to have SOME standards of entertainment.
Exactly. Mine is same... But some MCU fans are acting like it’s very good comedy series. But no.. Even other action MCU movies have better comedy. In this show,I don't know where the story is heading. All I know is that there is a group who are trying to get her blood.
@@shineexokpop6824 ya i admit it's a little petty to be honest but not miserable the miserable people is the one act like this show is funny I'm just watching them tortures them self
Episode 1: we see that even a little of Hulk's blood can make certain people hulks. The show goes out of it's way to explain that Jennifer's blood is special and dangerous in the wrong hands. The show then tells us that Jennifer wants to be a lawyer and not a superhero. Bruce tells her that she just can't go back to being regular Jen and that she has higher responsibilities now. She rejects that notion and drives back to her life. That tells you exactly what the show is going to be and where it's going...in episode 1.
@@AllGreyEverything yes and they haven't been doing a good job expressing that in the episodes. Have 3 episodes left with a potential 20-25 min in each episode to explain who these people stealing her blood are, what are their plans, what is Intelligencia and how are they related to the antagonist, where is Hulk (only mentioning this because it seems like a recurring plot thread mentioned 3 times this season), Jen coming to terms of being a superhero, watching the antagonist carry out their plan, Jen defeating the antagonist stealing her DNA, and show a Daredevil cameo...in 3 episodes with 20-25 minutes runtimes.
I mean, this is a different show, a different story than we are acustomed to in the MCU, it can be a bit jarring to watch something while expecting something else. I enjoy it, it is what it is. A fun show about a Lawyer who happens to have superpowers.

Mr. Immortal was a Marvel Superhero character that was the leader of the Greak Lakes Avengers in the original comic timeline of Earth-616. Seems to have the same power just much older in the MCU than he was in the comics. I knew the minute I heard the name who it was cause I always like that group of odd powered characters and hoped they would get the chance to appear on the the big screen, but just like The Wrecking they went a different direction that I'm a bit disappointed about. Over all I enjoyed the episode, however I've decided to stop hoping for Daredevil each episode. Knowing my luck he'll probrobly appear right after I stop caring about it. Really enjoyed your reaction. Have a good day "Dream Team Trio". 👍👍✌
For people who want to enjoy the show but can't find a reason too, I think it's because of they are blinded by their expectations. Lots of people think this is a Marvel-lawyer-sitcom show, but it's really a sitcom-lawyer show with Marvel characters in it. Not to just mix words around and claim a point, i think the difference tho separates people into those who enjoy the show and those who don't, and they difference is structure. In a marvel show the structure is a person gains powers/ abilities or has them and we get to see how they interact with a their corner of the world e.i. : being a student, a billionaire, a nobody, a man, a woman, young, old, a parent, a lawyer. That's the basic starting point, from there they can do whatever they want but a basic follow up is that our hero's powers while incredible and fantastical they also bring hardship by introducing trouble into their personal lives or, they rush to trouble with a spirit of heroism or responsibility. And there's typically a main identifiable bad guy (one of my complaints from Ms Marvel which is supposed to have this structure). Now as you can tell this fits lots of superhero shows, for example let's say you want a Marvel show with a lawyer in it. A good character to pick is Daredevil, he has a tragic back story with cool abilities and an iconic villain. This works because a Marvel show builds characters with trials and opposition. Now in an effort to diversify content, because people have rightfully complained about the formulaic nature of some content, Feige said let's make a sitcom with a Marvel character. A perfect character for that is she-hulk. Why is that? Well it's because is a sitcom is characterized by having a bigger cast with multiple storylines, the basic structure is something like this. Our cast is gathered for whatever reason: they are family, friends, classmates, coworkers, roommates. The point of the show is not to do anything really there's usually no ultimate goal like defeating someone(s), getting something, or going somewhere. Sitcoms have plot points that carry along but usually every episode has a new scenario for the cast and the way they handle it together moves along the story and characters all with a humorous tone. Most sitcoms can seemingly go on forever this way and sometimes are made to, ending by either writing a reason or getting canceled before they can. She-hulk is perfect for this because her comics feature lots of characters (not just supes), some with their own plotlines and separate interactions. She doesn't have an ultimate goal, she works case by case, the best thing she has to a villain is someone with a grudge for being more popular and stronger than her, and of course most her comics are comedic. Hardly material for a Marvel superhero show if that's what your expecting, but great as a lawyer sitcom. Maybe this will make it more enjoyable, instead of waiting for the next villain, ultimate team up, connection to the "bigger picture", an impact to the Marvel world, or dramatic character development. Which is what we are used to from a Marvel show. See it as a cast of characters figuring out what to do with what's in front of them and what that tells us about them and their connection to the rest of the cast, all in a jokey 20-30 min sitcom.
Part of the conceit of the show just like the comic is unusual super powered legal cases. I thought this showcased those aspects very well. And agreed, the cgi looked markedly better. Gotta be honest though, starting to think this series just might not be for you guys lol. Don’t suffer too much on our account it’s not doin it for you.
I don't think Jaby is hating it (he specifically said he didn't) but there's a difference between liking a show a lot and being kind of 'meh' about it. I think Jaby is closer to 'meh' but wants to stick it out in case it gets better (more to his liking). After 30 or so MCU properties, it's not surprising that not all of the movies/tv shows are landing as universally as they branch out a bit. I think Jaby, like a lot of Marvel fans, is coming to realize that in the future, fans might not be watching everything with a Marvel tag on it because it won't all be what they want. I'm in his category where if the second season of She-Hulk was very similar with no major MCU connections, I'd consider passing on it as I don't prefer episodic tv shows. To this point, I've enjoyed every MCU property but She-Hulk's episodic nature combined with a lack of overarching plot connections is uninspiring, to say the least. Like Jaby - I'm more in the 'meh' category. I'm watching each week but each week I really hope that this is the week they connect it to the larger MCU. Knowing Daredevil is coming is one of the few things I'm looking forward to this season at this point. But, I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised to find other things in She-Hulk that might interest me! But sitcom format isn't one of them so if that's the selling point, I hope they disconnect it from the larger MCU so it feels less important to miss it.
@@CinePals Dude your dislike for the show is so obvious. Its alright. You don't need to do this. Honestly I am impressed that you haven't lashed out on the show yet
I wanna trust Mallory and that guy from the wedding so bad, because I'm liking them a lot. I also felt bad for Titania. Liked the episode quite a lot. And this show is about Jen growing as a character and accepting her Hulk self, not about some dude that's gonna appear in one episode later.
The fight between Jen and Titania is fairly accurate to how they behave in the comics. Titania shows up, they fight, Jen wins. Titania is obsessed with trying to beat She-Hulk as she wants to be seen as stronger than She-Hulk.
I don't think Josh is trying to get her blood. The bride did know him, and addressed him when she walked up while Jen and Josh were sitting together outside.
I am really like this show...maybe John Campea and Angry Joe will be pissed lol. I don't care as long this She-hulk series become one of the foundation of marvel series as a "world" full of superhero just like hawkeye and ms. marvel.
Titania has mostly the same abilities as She-Hulk, except that she can't grow or get stronger. Mr. Immortal is Craig Hollis who is a somewhat skilled fighter in the comics, and of course has immortality.
@@devilaasura3827 nope, She-Hulk can and does grow larger and stronger than her base She-Hulk form. It's an ability that shows up from time to time, basically extra gamma makes for a more powerful She-Hulk.
Maybe it's not completly fair, since this is like the seventh reaction video I watched, but I am so annoyed with all this "Where is Daredevil?!" "Why doesn't Daredevil show up?!" Can we please enjoy what is there, not what we expect there to be!?! Really, Achara seems to be the only one with the right attitude... Really sorry if that sounds to harsh.
Here's a possible justification for so much Mallory/ Nikki. What if Mallory is part of the conspiracy to take down She-Hulk and here she is trying to take away her support system ie Nikki.
I doubt that. Mallory actually helps out Shulkie when she's at her lowest in the comics. She's bitchy, but she cares about Jen. She even gave Jen a job working for her when Jen was homeless.
Or is a legal sitcom (lawyer show!) where Jen works for a lawfirm so there's a small ensemble of characters who work with her including several comic book inspired characters like Mallory.
jaby as far as the mr immortal character and storyline was in it because it's also a show about a law firm taking cases for people with superpowers so that's why he and his storyline were in this episode
I agree with you guys, this episode was so mundane. The series has gone downhill very fast since the pilot. We arent going anywhere, its a bit cheesy, and its confused on what it wants to be. I think people are finding anything they can hold on to, to justify their liking for the show, just because its marvel or its woke. It needs a better story. Every episode after the first is blends together for me lol
Maybe it's just the bagginess of the men's suits that I hate, but I feel like She-Hulk looks *infinitely* better in casual wear than suits lol. 2:38 Somehow the CGI just seemed massively improved when you can see her body instead of just her head lol.
I don't know if this makes sense but as someone who grew up watching sitcoms, I am having a difficult time seeing this series as a comedy; not solely based on the writing in the episodes, but in the way that it is shot/filmed. We have become accustomed to the Marvel's cinematic shots (various angles) but compared to 90's sitcoms on TV, whose format was rather flat due to their filming in front of a studio audience, the execution of this "episodic Legal Drama / Comedy/ superhero sitcom" doesn't seem to mesh well IMO. Perhaps if the series was shot similar to 90's sitcoms (Fresh Prince, Friends, Martin, etc.) modern sitcoms (Big Bang Theory), or even approached like Wandavision, it would register as "episodic superhero sitcom".🤷♂
You have a point, although my biggest criticisms are the other way around, WV definitely looks like a comedy when it should. But compared to something like Kenobi and how it's shot, I hate to say it, but this looks better half the time and I wish that wasn't the case. That's one compliment I can give the show, I like the overall frames just not what's happening in them.
With all of this emphasis on the "bad guys" risking a lot to get hold of Jen's blood, I have to conclude that biology doesn't work the same in the MCU as it does IRL. Because, if all they need are samples of her blood, there are other ways to do that without direct assaults. For example, all they would need to do for a blood sample is just go through her trash and steal out her used tampons, and the fact that this never occurs to anyone makes me wonder if menstruation works the same in the MCU as it does in real life. I mean, I don't see one of those fancy laser disintegrators in her home, to destroy *anything* with her blood on it... 🙂
mister immortal is very interesting character, he have no power but could not die, and his 'could not die' mean resurrects after death, so he die so easy during mission of great lake avengers. l love great lake avenger so much, but now we got this 'mister immortal'?
The group that was named in this episode, in the comics, is the same one that made the Red Hulk and others with combining Hulk gamma blood and cosmic radiation. Some of the group roster has been the Leader, Doom, MODOC, and various others including members of both AIM and Hydra. I don't know if they are going that is what the writers are going for.
The problem is that She-Hulk was never this irreverent in the comics, at least not in any I've read. Sure, there was tons of humor in them (even some as serious as the Netflix shows), but most of them lead somewhere significant for the most part.
Has anyone wondered how titania got her super strength? Why did she break into the courtroom in episode one? LITERALLY SO MANY QUESTIONS I hope we get a dedicated episode about titania
Yes because in the comics her powers are tied to Doom and she's much stronger. I have many questions and very much hopes this ends up with Doom confirmed but I'm also hoping for Volcana.
1:10 yeah I HATE this kinda sht because I don't think that's a fun thing at all (since I'm not a 5-year-old) and it's so hard to clean up. You find pieces around the house for weeks lol
Sorry to see you arriving at the place that I have been for the entire series. I was consoling myself with the fact that, though I think this series is a horrific waste of the potential of She-Hulk and her rogues gallery as characters, some people were enjoying it and maybe it was just me.
Okay why is that you hate so much. Maybe you have the same problem. I get the whole woke shit. But I think the problem y'all have is because there no action. Y'all trying so her to be action. I think that where you fail to enjoy the show. I'm personally enjoying she hulk because of her journey. Figure who she want to be. She know what be a lawyer. Be she fighting other ppl where they want to be this badass hero. But just want be Jen, Herself. I think the audience getting piss off they want badass she hulk and not jen. I think that they shinning a light on jen side more then she hulk.
@@shortymtz4658 I dont see any mention of hate in my reply, only disappointment, so I dont know what youre going on about but I suppose the simplest response is, if you didnt want to make a show about She-Hulk why make a She-Hulk show? If all they wanted to do was make a sit-com about the trials and tribulations of being a 30 something single female lawyer set in current year why set it in the MCU? Why waste another deeply connected, well loved, popular Marvel character and the associated personalities if an entirely original character would have allowed you to focus on the message and scenes you actually wanted to set instead? Its like making a Daredevil show and only showing the courtroom stuff, he never puts on the costume, he never fights crime, he never uses his radar sense, he just goes around researching law and defending innocent people. Is it at that point a Daredevil show just because the lead character is called Matt Murdock? The announcement of a She-Hulk show implies law stuff AND action. This show is underwhelming on both counts. The announcement of a comedy implies funny stuff, this isnt funny on a more than a slightly fast exhale through the nose level. It doesnt deliver on its potential and doesnt deliver on its premise so its not a good show in either regard. Hopefully that clear it up for you a little. You carry on enjoying it thats absolutely up to you but other people do not and for valid reasons even if they are not ones with which you agree.
I think the problem is viewer expectations based on other properties in the MCU versus what the show is trying to do. We know she’s a superhero. We want her to be involved in or do superhero things. They were very clear in episode one that it’s not that kind of show. It’s a “fun lawyer show” and that’s what it’s trying to be. I feel like, if we ignore the fact that She-Hulk is a hero in the comics and part of a larger Universe of heroes it’d be easier to take the show for what it is. That’s not to say the viewer is entirely at fault- just mostly at fault. It’s like with people who hype themselves up on what a game could be and then when it gets in their hands and they see it’s just a game they get disappointed. That’s not anyones fault but your expectations. Does the show need funnier jokes or funnier situations? Sure but expecting it to focus more on the heroic side of things when they tell you up front it’s not going to be that, is unfair.
Well "fun lawyer show" is definitely not very good at lawyering, I mean imagine this is the same universe where Matt Murdock is gonna fight cases, how do you feel about that?
She hulk is the worst marvel tv series of all time....just the worst.... Like there is no villain....no point....no conflict.... Characters have barely any growth or development....
My question to you would be, then why make a She-Hulk show? if all you wanted to do was write an Ally McBeal/Sex and the City knock off, why waste a powerful and influential female super hero? If your goal is to promote strong female characters, why not take advantage of the enormous opportunity that is afforded to you and make an incredible show about a facinating super powered hero woman who is also an phenomenal lawyer? Why not make her female nemesis another strong and nuanced character as she is in the source material instead of a slapstick pastiche of modern instagram influencers? Why make this short, poorly written, badly plotted, pile of misandrist nothing? Why link your show to the MCU at all?
So turns out luke jacobs is a costume designer in the comics. I get vibes from my best friends wedding Lou Lou could be the blonde phantom from the comics. Mr immortal has tried to kill himself so many times in the comics he got depressed after his loved ones start r dying in the comics.
Kinda, he appeared in three issues of Dakota North as a fashion designer. Which is a majority of the five issue run but still three issues. At that time Dakota North was a self contained Marvel series and the closest it gets to anyone else from Marvel is a picture of Hulk on a TV screen.
What this show is going for is more episodic. Each episode of two is a new wacky case that either She-Hulk or her co-workers have to handle. It’s on par with Dan Slotts She-Hulk run in terms of its approach. With some Ally McBeal mixed in. It’s not really trying to be an action show either.

17:15 - Achara gave an excellent analysis of Jen here, what's being revealed about Jen - that's what I really liked about this episode, how far it explored this, so I was surprised when then Achara then said that she also didn't like the episode - I wish the discussion had remained focused on exploring this dimension of Jen, instead of just noticing and then dismissing it, because that was the real focus of the episode, in its own terms - I thought it's taking this underlying aspect of Jen and really giving us a good look, and also a deeper sense of what She-Hulk might mean to Jen - we see not just this inner weakness of Jen, as Achara describes, but how the developments are set up to really draw this out to comedic extremes, like Spider-Man 2 used McGuire as a comically tormented Charlie Brown figure - and it's so funny how everything gets worse and worse for Jen, Charlie Brown-style, like she's in hell - so it was a relief when She-Hulk came in at the end and rescued Jen - maybe what she wished had happened in high school - it's a female variation on the bullied high school kid who wishes the superhero into existence - I thought it was really clever and incisive, and well-developed (this was the real meat of the show for me, and I hope this is what it focuses on, these deeper human aspects - it surprised me, everyone's focus on "where we're going", and all those formulaic questions, when we already have all this happening right now - I didn't care so much about what it set up plot-wise in terms of Jen being targeted, etc, or how precise the CGI is, or not, etc) There was a lot of "action" here, in this episode's own terms, in the form of character dynamics, this escalating torment - and, just based on this, the mere fact of Shulkie's appearing at all was the payoff all by itself, so there was no need for an extended physical brawl - the point was already made 18:35 - I wonder if Jaby had been more rested if his overall reaction might have been different - I do like his self-analysis about how he's having difficulty setting his expectations aside and just taking the show for what it is - for my part, I'm enjoying the show a lot, and this episode may be my favorite - (I agree very much w Cortney that Titania's earlier psychological bullying was the most compelling - and the bride here may be the most odious antagonist so far - we didn't even need so much interaction w her, because we immediately understood what Lulu represents, and her presence was felt everywhere in this environment, in Jen's behavior, seeing the nerve Lulu is touching - this is like watching Superman respond to Kryptonite) BTW - I'm trying to understand the wardrobe coding - Jaby is wearing the most green, and Achara is the only one w no green - so I guess that means she's the un-Hulk - and Cortney is in between, perhaps the ideal balance? but this balance can only be achieved on the Moon? Is that why Bruce keeps going into space? - and what is the evil grin on Achara's shirt? Is this what happens to humanity when we deny ourselves the outlet of hulking out? IDK This is getting more complex lol
If this episode was about Jen's inner turmoil, they really need to take a page from "What If..." when Doctor Strange lost his heart. That's a relatively short episode that is deeply emotional. In other words, the MCU has done that better in the past.
@@MrBrock314 Thanks for the reference - I need to see that - what I really liked here was how they explored this aspect of Jen's personality, in a way that felt very familiar I think to anyone who still has such issues left over from high school, let alone a superhero - and that at the same time they used this to generate comedy
Why do people watch stuff they don't like? Genuinely baffles me, there's much more out there to spend your time on if you're not enjoying the experience.
Cuz this is in the Marvel universe, and for any Marvel fan, you've gotta see everything they offer to understand the whole timeline and what's going on for future movies and shows
@@pranaykapoor9730 First, that's not actually a reasonable point, even though you think it is. Second, read the Wiki or Fandom page after the show is done, or check the twitter hashtag to see what people tweeted about. You'd get the gist of it, pretty quick.
I seriously think people want to just hate on whatever is cool to hate. It’s really pathetic that cry babies who aren’t forced to watch cry so much, especially 6 episodes in. The show is good for me, others enjoy it but no, these haters gotta ruin the show for them too. Bunch of low lives, hating on a work of fiction.

Nobody, noticed that Nikki has crush on Mallory and I like that this show is not just only on she Hulk but also the side characters with their own stories.
Titania gets humiliated by Jen fairly regularly in the comics so that's actually pretty accurate.

No thanks
They’ve been “setting up” for 6 episodes..there’s only 9.
@@Hunterese123 why does it need a overarching plot? Asking genuinely

We're all still trying to figure it out. At least with WandaVision, the mystery was intentional, and done well.
I feel for Jaby...this is really felt like work 😂😂
Mr. Immortal is a Marvel hero with immortal powers. Extreme healing factor to the point of resurrection. Also he is a mutant.

@@daurydavis3983 But the ladies said they didn’t like this episode either?

What is the name of she hulk intro song in this epi ?
Here's a possible justification for so much Mallory/ Nikki. What if Mallory is part of the conspiracy to take down She-Hulk and here she is trying to take away her support system ie Nikki.
I doubt that. Mallory actually helps out Shulkie when she's at her lowest in the comics. She's bitchy, but she cares about Jen. She even gave Jen a job working for her when Jen was homeless.
Or is a legal sitcom (lawyer show!) where Jen works for a lawfirm so there's a small ensemble of characters who work with her including several comic book inspired characters like Mallory.
If only something that exciting would occur. :) The show is fine but it could use some spice like that.
jaby as far as the mr immortal character and storyline was in it because it's also a show about a law firm taking cases for people with superpowers so that's why he and his storyline were in this episode
Mr. Immortal was a founding member of the Great Lakes Avengers.
Jaby cringing throughout the whole series🙂.
Not true
Rightfully so
at least is honest, most of reactors are shilling hard for this show and disney.
Let's be honest who is not cringing
@@Rodanoar86 agreed
Why is jaby being such a kill joy?? Lol😂
i think, the nice guy is one of the thugs that wanted to take her blood.. i could be wrong, but i get that vibe from the ep...
Maybe it's just the bagginess of the men's suits that I hate, but I feel like She-Hulk looks *infinitely* better in casual wear than suits lol.
2:38 Somehow the CGI just seemed massively improved when you can see her body instead of just her head lol.
Mr. Immortal is a mutant.
Epic!
My sista on the right and her theories r wild 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤣
I agree with most of them. She's spot on to me.
Jaby ... Jen said at the start that this is a "fun lawyer show". This isn't a superhero show.
Nikki and Malorie sitting in the same chair looking cozy, an its just a sitcom.
We will never see a squirrel girl series if folks are this uptight about a she-hulk series 😂.
The problem is that She-Hulk was never this irreverent in the comics, at least not in any I've read. Sure, there was tons of humor in them (even some as serious as the Netflix shows), but most of them lead somewhere significant for the most part.
I believe they're setting up season 2, if it happens I hope it happens, and Jen will fully embrace her hulk side and will be more heroic
I would’ve taken squirrel girl over she-hulk tbh.
But she hulk is not some goof character like squirrel girl.
I have to say - you made that sound like a bad thing but it sounds like a good thing from the description. :)
Has anyone wondered how titania got her super strength? Why did she break into the courtroom in episode one? LITERALLY SO MANY QUESTIONS I hope we get a dedicated episode about titania
No, i don't think we will
Just two-three small questions...
Yes because in the comics her powers are tied to Doom and she's much stronger. I have many questions and very much hopes this ends up with Doom confirmed but I'm also hoping for Volcana.
Oh please, Heavens No. Titania is such an annoying ass character, please, no more. JUST GIVE US DAREDEVIL!!! hahahaha
From what i remember they did say why she broke into the courtroom, basically she was trying to avoid traffic court and ran.
1:10 yeah I HATE this kinda sht because I don't think that's a fun thing at all (since I'm not a 5-year-old) and it's so hard to clean up. You find pieces around the house for weeks lol
Man this is the greatest show ever
Just because of that one cameo we are waiting for
My God, so many B plots

Hey guys. Mr Immortal is the mayordomo from Boba Fett, that’s why he’s so funny.
Jaby’s face says it all. This show is definitely goofy. Can’t wait for Daredevil.
I personally wanna know more about jen. Then I do about she hulk. I know what she hulk can do. But I know really know who jen is.
@@phr00tpie 🙏
I’m starting to think i can make money like this too 😂
How many episodes does she hulk got?
Well then they should've made up a new super hero for that you can't call this a comic book adaptation and it not being anything like an adaptation
Well "fun lawyer show" is definitely not very good at lawyering, I mean imagine this is the same universe where Matt Murdock is gonna fight cases, how do you feel about that?
@@streaming.tesIa.now.24on I don't think he knows what a good lawyer show is
She hulk is the worst marvel tv series of all time....just the worst....
I get vibes from my best friends wedding
Lou Lou could be the blonde phantom from the comics.
Mr immortal has tried to kill himself so many times in the comics he got depressed after his loved ones start r dying in the comics.
Kinda, he appeared in three issues of Dakota North as a fashion designer. Which is a majority of the five issue run but still three issues. At that time Dakota North was a self contained Marvel series and the closest it gets to anyone else from Marvel is a picture of Hulk on a TV screen.
no she cant. 1. not blonde 2. blonde phantom is from like the 40s or 50s. she does not have a steve rogers frozen in ice origin.......
Jaby: I don't understand. 🙄
I wish it was as good as Ally Mcbeal
Lmao oh because she breaks the fourth wall and is a “lawyer” it’s Ally McBeal? Come on…
@@angelbedolla347 that is quite literally one of the inspirations not only for Dan Slotts run of the charactee but also this show specifically too.

Hay jaby Mr immortal is a member of the great lakes avengers, from the comics
19:24 yeah they just ended it with the big needle but you should know one thing. We got a new character in the show now, Hulking (or HulkKing as it is spelled). Hulking kinda looks like Hulk (I actually thought he was one of the many hulk like characters but he’s not I guess); he’s big and a shade of green, with some kind of frills on his shoulders, and he is a shapeshifter (more like partial shapeshifter cuz’ he doesn’t change completely into another character like the skrulls). In video games I’ve seen him make wings and fly and stretch his hands jump high by stretching his legs or something.
But we’ll never know if marvel is intending to do that. Maybe it’s just a name of some random dude, a hater of she hulk. 😅 so take my words with a grain of salt.
Who is hulking and where did it hint at him in this show?
@@jasonthompson1604 the notifications that came in that blog, Intelligencia. Before cutting to show that big needle, on the screen a message appears from HulkKing, at 14:04 in this Jaby’s reaction, you can actually see the message.

I'm here for Achara's energy.
Why? She will never criticize something, she just consumed it and says it’s good or that she enjoys it… which isn’t bad or good but there’s no point on watching
i know mr. immortal, great lakes avengers. but he isnt some old dude. he is young, blonde and FINE!
You guys should watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. They seem to always be behind on great animated shows
Stopped watching it after two episodes. That sucked bad!
17:15 - Achara gave an excellent analysis of Jen here, what's being revealed about Jen - that's what I really liked about this episode, how far it explored this, so I was surprised when then Achara then said that she also didn't like the episode - I wish the discussion had remained focused on exploring this dimension of Jen, instead of just noticing and then dismissing it, because that was the real focus of the episode, in its own terms
- I thought it's taking this underlying aspect of Jen and really giving us a good look, and also a deeper sense of what She-Hulk might mean to Jen
- we see not just this inner weakness of Jen, as Achara describes, but how the developments are set up to really draw this out to comedic extremes, like Spider-Man 2 used McGuire as a comically tormented Charlie Brown figure - and it's so funny how everything gets worse and worse for Jen, Charlie Brown-style, like she's in hell
- so it was a relief when She-Hulk came in at the end and rescued Jen - maybe what she wished had happened in high school - it's a female variation on the bullied high school kid who wishes the superhero into existence - I thought it was really clever and incisive, and well-developed
(this was the real meat of the show for me, and I hope this is what it focuses on, these deeper human aspects - it surprised me, everyone's focus on "where we're going", and all those formulaic questions, when we already have all this happening right now - I didn't care so much about what it set up plot-wise in terms of Jen being targeted, etc, or how precise the CGI is, or not, etc)
There was a lot of "action" here, in this episode's own terms, in the form of character dynamics, this escalating torment - and, just based on this, the mere fact of Shulkie's appearing at all was the payoff all by itself, so there was no need for an extended physical brawl - the point was already made
18:35 - I wonder if Jaby had been more rested if his overall reaction might have been different - I do like his self-analysis about how he's having difficulty setting his expectations aside and just taking the show for what it is - for my part, I'm enjoying the show a lot, and this episode may be my favorite -
(I agree very much w Cortney that Titania's earlier psychological bullying was the most compelling - and the bride here may be the most odious antagonist so far - we didn't even need so much interaction w her, because we immediately understood what Lulu represents, and her presence was felt everywhere in this environment, in Jen's behavior, seeing the nerve Lulu is touching - this is like watching Superman respond to Kryptonite)
BTW - I'm trying to understand the wardrobe coding - Jaby is wearing the most green, and Achara is the only one w no green - so I guess that means she's the un-Hulk - and Cortney is in between, perhaps the ideal balance? but this balance can only be achieved on the Moon?
They need to keep this CGI crew. They keep changing it per episode. This is the best one so far.
18:50 That's because the guy that was played by Guy Pierce died. Pepper killed him.
It's their prerogative whether to watch or not. Reaction videos do not have to praise whatever they choose to watch, the point is to give an honest reaction and feedback. There's also potential set up gor the upcoming Daredevil series which Jaby Im sure is hyped for.
People do stupid things for love. For the love of daredevil bearing this trauma.
yeah its pretty hard to forget this is only a show, were all remember (i think) a marvel show to have a Avengers infinity level entertainment what we used to have since the brilliant first iron man movie, but still i can not turn that feeling off (tried it for this show), in our defense were getting less and less content from marvel and that's why were hoping for big fight scenes and all. i get from this show a couple laughs ant thats all but i still wanna watch it because there is nothing else from the mcu that i not watched (episodes getting shorter too), no sec end cutscene to get excited for the next episode
It’s called insufficient council and if you can afford it than settlement won’t survive appeal
