I'M an HBCU grad, but I was taught to do research at the school I attended. This isn't a cut to current funding. That would be all over the news and HBCU media if that were the case. This is basically an HBCU stimulus plan. The 55B was extra money. And even with the cuts it's a higher amount than Biden originally campaigned on, so it's not breaking a promise if you're doing more than you originally said

Forgive tuition....'free to pick career of my dream' instead of high-paying career...create a permanent underclass of workers? Once others caught on to a promised large endowment...they redirected said funding to non-black communities because they just aren't interested in STEM ideas in certain areas? My PWI had their College of Ed be threatened for alot of funding as it was a top graduater of blacks in America... this school is now a public ivy and still a top black graduater. There was talks of the College of Ed possibly closing but some alumni were not going to let that happen.. I see how NC hb.u departments were hollowed out about 6 years ago..especially those science depts. this is what goes on. Some smaller private women's schools have gone coed. Some hb.us now look mixed.
I don't even understand why would even play with the term handout, when we lack the capability to get private funding because of racial disparities. This bill is supposed to help us have a fighting chance against our counterparts and the huge amount of funding they get for their private institution and public Institutes. They should be explaining to us why they refused to give us what they promise.

We need 10 times what Biden originally proposed. I don't like that it was only 55B, but even at 30B that's still money we need. It's still something. It's more than anyone has tried to invest before. We need money for athletics as well. Whatever money we get would be helpful. It was my understanding the money was originally only 600M before Biden suggested the 55B. All kinds of stuff is being cut. It's misleading to make it sound like only HBCU money is being cut. I like the work Ms. Adams is doing though. I've had a hard time finding people advocating for HBCUs when I was researching people in politics. This entire story is very misleading.

Forgive tuition....'free to pick career of my dream' instead of high-paying career...create a permanent underclass of workers? Once others caught on to a promised large endowment...they redirected said funding to non-black communities because they just aren't interested in STEM ideas in certain areas? My PWI had their College of Ed be threatened for alot of funding as it was a top graduater of blacks in America... this school is now a public ivy and still a top black graduater. There was talks of the College of Ed possibly closing but some alumni were not going to let that happen.. I see how NC hb.u departments were hollowed out about 6 years ago..especially those science depts. this is what goes on. Some smaller private women's schools have gone coed. Some hb.us now look mixed.

I don't even understand why would even play with the term handout, when we lack the capability to get private funding because of racial disparities. This bill is supposed to help us have a fighting chance against our counterparts and the huge amount of funding they get for their private institution and public Institutes. They should be explaining to us why they refused to give us what they promise.
Fighting chance? I have black friends that didn't go to a HCBU. Went to mostly white colleges. Worked 2 jobs to pay for college. And now outright own their own businesses. They had a fighting chance to succeed and they did.

The easiest way to take power from people is to promise them that YOU will take care of them. They trust you will, teach their children you will, and lose sight of the fact that a free, independent people don’t trust, nor want/need help. Take care of yourself, your neighbors, and your town. Change what you can control. It will grow. Get yourself independence from needing the handouts from the federal government/anyone, and you will truly be free.
I agree with your statement and what's even more f'ed up is the feds now have about 17 states needing the handouts to meet their budgets. This isn't about just keeping populations on the dole, but breaking the solvency of states and crashing the system of "checks and balances" on federal power that our forefathers knew was key to all of our freedom.
Israel gets handouts. Corporations get handouts. Making demands of the man you got elected is what you're supposed to do.

The USS Liberty was a casualty of human error as much as it was the outcome of the distrust between both countries.
