Nanny, I learned from a RUclipsr to take your parchment paper and wad it up then unfold it and it lays much better in the pan. It does work. Thanks for showing us your “fails” too. We have all done it. 😊 Your shed has some real treasures in it, I’m sure. I would be curious to see photographs. Someone should digitize your favorites and have them labeled.

I hold the edges of parchment paper in place using clothes pins. Remove them just before popping the pan into the oven. And don't worry about the flopped cake. I still love you lots.💗💗💗

@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose Thanks!! I'm diabetic on 1 shot a day of Insulin, so I rarely eat sweets if I make desserts I just a have a tiny bite. I dont eat bread but maybe 2 times a month on a veggie Burger or garlic toast with spaghetti, I drink Diet Dew all day & 1 to 2 bottles of water. I eat breakfast, which is the New sausage bacon So Yummy, and fruits, all types of fruits, lots of fresh pineapple & blueberries. I eat supper but just 1 serving. I dont snack after supper usually, but If I really want a snack I have fresh fruit or cheese or nuts, pistachios or Wasabi Almonds. But I only have a snack 2 times a week. Maybe 1st a month I have DQ ice cream...My youngest is 6yrs , so I do take him to DQ & Dunkin Donuts, but since I've lost, I dont want alot of foods, I guess my stomach shrunk as they say. I feel so much better!!

Hi Nanny, I very much enjoy your videos. As with other commentators I appreciate your ability to be honest and "real". I had a recent baking disaster myself. I tried a new recipe for red devils food bundt cake with a cream cheese layer. I wondered as I was mixing it why 1 2/3 cup of oil was being asked for. Well, it rose nicely and baked for the full 1 hour and 15 minutes. Held its shape, etc. However, it seemed to be exuding grease after removing it from the pan. I kept dabbing it with tissue and still more oil and then more. With my wonderful nutella ganache, I served it. To my dismay, it was just a soggy, greasy mess inside. I still don't know why. It seems I too have had a few cooking bumps along the way. Thank you for being you!

After moving MANY times, I have very little stuff accumulated, but I am tackling a disorganized 3 drawers in my dresser .. full of “ will need this one day” stuff! Oh Nanny, what a wonderful video this was. Let's see, first yes I save every single item that's missing it's partner. I just know it's going to show up. But after a couple of years it never does so I have to part with it( it's awful when it's an earring that you love ). You never cease to amaze me with the amount of talent and energy you have. After years of covering my quilt covers, It's just too exhausting for me to put a duvet on. I'm glad someone in the family wants to keep that painting which I didn't find scary at , but a piece of artwork that shows Talent. When you said you still had your mother's sifter, I got teary-.I had my mother's potato peeler and it must have gone out with the potato peels and I haven't found a good replacement for it. I wrote down the cake recipe and all I need is a 6-in foam pan and I will make it because I love yogurt and it looked easy. Wondering if I can't find a 6-in pan what pan can I use? Happy to see ghost is still around and behaving nicely. You and Moose stay warm and stay well. As I said I got so much joy out of this video.🐣
If you make that cake , Susan….be sure to make it with corn starch…ISAID corn starch but I USED baking soda…thus the disaster…If your pan is bigger than 6” cook it in much less time, I would think…I’m going on line to find a 6” pan..thanks so much for sharing, Susan..❤️
Oh Nanny talk about unfinished projects. I have two that come to mind. I have a straight skirt from 7th grade homemaking class that the teacher let me take home and somehow I never turned it in. We didn't have enough sewing machines for the class so I took my skirt home to put in the zipper. Today I 'm pretty sure it wouldn' fit over my legs!!! Other is an Advent calendar that didn't get finished for my girls so saved for future grandchildren. They are teenagers so will finish and mark for Great grandchildren!!! Love you Nanny!!!
I have 2 advent calendars (quilted fabric and removable people) unfinished, too, Carol….made one with a granddaughter, my lovely Katie, who at the time was probably 9 or 10…She is now in her 30’s…and we finished that one..There’s also a needlepoint I was doing with the six children , and our home,and our red barn in it..Started it 40 years ago and it’s 3/4 finished…Margie is going to finish it..AND there are more!!! Thanks for sharing, Carol…I know there have to be others like us!❤️
Yes I also keep the singles. I have a basket of singles on top of my dryer. Every now & then I'm lucky enough to find a match, haha. Just love these cozy chats. I've also started purging - I keep winter/fall clothes in another closet & switch them out when the season changes. THAT'S when I do a purge. If I didn't wear it all of last season I probably won't wear it this season. Also every time I buy something new, I try to remove an old item. Keeps my closet current - even though I have things in there that are 20+ years old!
For teeth whitening all you need is to mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda make a paste and put it on your teeth it really works. I save my egg shells and coffee grounds and use them in my garden. My plants love the egg shells and coffee grounds. That happened to me I used baking soda instead of corn starch and my cake was flat.

Having a missing item tub is a great idea... I'm going to start doing that. Because 9 times out of 10 I've thrown out the one item thinking I'll never find the other and no sooner have I gotten rid of it... the missing pair shows up. UGH!

Nanny what a fun video. I barely could believe you were talking about lost earrings. Last night I went to take my earrings off and the one on my right ear was not there. They are one of my favs. Fortunately I was in all day so I know it’s in the house but it has completely disappeared. Crazy right? So yes I am keeping the one just in case but I did reorder it from Amazon, lol, I could not resist I was so upset and I just have to have these they are so dainty and classy. They are the huggie hoop earrings with tiny pearls in them like the ones with cubic zirconias. They come Friday! I am purging also I also broke down and bought a Keurig coffee machine - you can make both iced and regular coffee with it so I'm going to try to make my pumpkin spice lattes at home. They are on sale right now on Walmart for $35!

@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose Thanks!! I'm diabetic on 1 shot a day of Insulin, so I rarely eat sweets if I make desserts I just a have a tiny bite. I dont eat bread but maybe 2 times a month on a veggie Burger or garlic toast with spaghetti, I drink Diet Dew all day & 1 to 2 bottles of water. I eat breakfast, which is the New sausage bacon So Yummy, and fruits, all types of fruits, lots of fresh pineapple & blueberries. I eat supper but just 1 serving. I dont snack after supper usually, but If I really want a snack I have fresh fruit or cheese or nuts, pistachios or Wasabi Almonds. But I only have a snack 2 times a week. Maybe 1st a month I have DQ ice cream...My youngest is 6yrs , so I do take him to DQ & Dunkin Donuts, but since I've lost, I dont want alot of foods, I guess my stomach shrunk as they say. I feel so much better!!
You are a hoot! You leak something that is infectious and makes joy bubble up in me. I used to die d a lot of money at your shop by the way. Just recently I found some Childress dresses from there in my hope chest. I was purging but squirreled them away up in a loft.

I very much enjoy your videos. As with other commentators I appreciate your ability to be honest and "real". I had a recent baking disaster myself. I tried a new recipe for red devils food bundt cake with a cream cheese layer. I wondered as I was mixing it why 1 2/3 cup of oil was being asked for. Well, it rose nicely and baked for the full 1 hour and 15 minutes. Held its shape, etc. However, it seemed to be exuding grease after removing it from the pan. I kept dabbing it with tissue and still more oil and then more. With my wonderful nutella ganache, I served it. To my dismay, it was just a soggy, greasy mess inside. I still don't know why. It seems I too have had a few cooking bumps along the way. Thank you for being you!

After moving MANY times, I have very little stuff accumulated, but I am tackling a disorganized 3 drawers in my dresser .. full of “ will need this one day” stuff! Why do i do this?😱😂… But first, a walk, then will put the ‘cake’ into oven!🎉

Oh Nanny, what a wonderful video this was. Let's see, first yes I save every single item that's missing it's partner. I just know it's going to show up. But after a couple of years it never does so I have to part with it( it's awful when it's an earring that you love ). You never cease to amaze me with the amount of talent and energy you have. After years of covering my quilt covers, It's just too exhausting for me to put a duvet on. I'm glad someone in the family wants to keep that painting which I didn't find scary at , but a piece of artwork that shows Talent. When you said you still had your mother's sifter, I got teary-.I had my mother's potato peeler and it must have gone out with the potato peels and I haven't found a good replacement for it. I wrote down the cake recipe and all I need is a 6-in foam pan and I will make it because I love yogurt and it looked easy. Wondering if I can't find a 6-in pan what pan can I use? Happy to see ghost is still around and behaving nicely. You and Moose stay warm and stay well. As I said I got so much joy out of this video.🐣
If you make that cake , Susan….be sure to make it with corn starch…ISAID corn starch but I USED baking soda…thus the disaster…If your pan is bigger than 6” cook it in much less time, I would think…I’m going on line to find a 6” pan..thanks so much for sharing, Susan..❤️

I have two that come to mind. I have a straight skirt from 7th grade homemaking class that the teacher let me take home and somehow I never turned it in. We didn't have enough sewing machines for the class so I took my skirt home to put in the zipper. Today I 'm pretty sure it wouldn' fit over my legs!!! Other is an Advent calendar that didn't get finished for my girls so saved for future grandchildren. They are teenagers so will finish and mark for Great grandchildren!!! Love you Nanny!!!
I have 2 advent calendars (quilted fabric and removable people) unfinished, too, Carol….made one with a granddaughter, my lovely Katie, who at the time was probably 9 or 10…She is now in her 30’s…and we finished that one..There’s also a needlepoint I was doing with the six children , and our home,and our red barn in it..Started it 40 years ago and it’s 3/4 finished…Margie is going to finish it..AND there are more!!! Thanks for sharing, Carol…I know there have to be others like us!❤️
Yes I also keep the singles. I have a basket of singles on top of my dryer. Every now & then I'm lucky enough to find a match, haha.
Just love these cozy chats. I've also started purging - I keep winter/fall clothes in another closet & switch them out when the season changes. THAT'S when I do a purge. If I didn't wear it all of last season I probably won't wear it this season. Also every time I buy something new, I try to remove an old item. Keeps my closet current - even though I have things in there that are 20+ years old!

For teeth whitening all you need is to mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda make a paste and put it on your teeth it really works. I save my egg shells and coffee grounds and use them in my garden. My plants love the egg shells and coffee grounds. That happened to me I used baking soda instead of corn starch and my cake was flat.

Having a missing item tub is a great idea... I'm going to start doing that. Because 9 times out of 10 I've thrown out the one item thinking I'll never find the other and no sooner have I gotten rid of it... the missing pair shows up. UGH!

Nanny what a fun video. I barely could believe you were talking about lost earrings. Last night I went to take my earrings off and the one on my right ear was not there. They are one of my favs. Fortunately I was in all day so I know it’s in the house but it has completely disappeared. Crazy right? So yes I am keeping the one just in case but I did reorder it from Amazon, lol, I could not resist I was so upset and I just have to have these they are so dainty and classy. They are the huggie hoop earrings with tiny pearls in them like the ones with cubic zirconias. They come Friday!
