Picatta sauce is my favorite!! Such beautiful shots of the waterfall, the flowers, and the game trail. Your water is like the water by glaciers. Except one can actually swim in your water in the summer. Arkansas is a hidden treasure. We have so many people in our great country, but it's amazing to me how few will venture out into the wilderness. Thanks for sharing your love for nature and simple things.
Just had to say that I love how you guys keep it real on your videos. None of that fake shallow "van life" style - I appreciate you guys being genuine and cool 😎
This vlog is definitely phenomenal! It had all the usual great highlights (Kelly’s wonderful cooking, Cody’s amazing drone shots, and nature content) as well as the additional highlights of your cool friend with his adorable camping cat and your hike to that gorgeous waterfall in such a lush setting. But even with all of this going on, this was such a chill & relaxing video to watch. Thanks to you all for all you do (and to the cool camping cat for being so darn cute)!
What a great camping spot! The hike, going to bed with the frogs and night bugs chirping and then waking up to the birds singing their sunrise songs! Great vlog! Hello from the TX. Hill Country! Safe travels till next time!🌞
High Temp 18" X 24"(WL) Felt Carbon Fiber Welding Blankets Black (18 x 24 inches) Cut this same size as the bottom of the pan. No more burning anything in the oven. Amazon sells it. Happy Trails!! Bret
I have two cats and feed 7 strays..............I do miss having a dog, but! Cats are so easy to take care of. My one cat goes for a short walk daily with me without a leas
We just got back from a week in the Ozark National Forest, and it was beautiful! We realized, my wife’s first camping trip ever was also Memorial Day weekend 2016 in Arkansas! She’s been hooked ever since, too! Just thought it was awesome since y’all said Kelly’s first time was that weekend too.. we backpacked Syllamore Creek near Blanchard! Very inspired by what y’all do!
What a difference from winter to spring in the Ozarks. It's something to look forward to. From what I hear, the only safe way to learn picking mushrooms to learn directory from an old pro. There are too many look-alikes that can kill who can point out sublet differences you don't get from a picture. Don't skin those potatoes. That's the best part.
So glad to find Your channel. Kellie, If you are still looking for a cook stone. Measure the inside dimensions of your oven/rack. Visit any home builder's store ie: Lowe's, Home Depot and pick up one or a couple of unfinished tiles. Of course, wash it before you use it in your oven. You can even season it, similar to a cast iron skillet. But, seasoning isn't a Must, if you're not able. They work great. I Hope this Helps. GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY🙏🏻🥳🙏🏻
That black fungus looks like Devil's Urn to me- It's not recommended to eat. It may be too late there in AR - but the great morel (sponge mushroom) should have shown itself there this spring! And it's the best wild mushroom ever - it usually only comes up in April - may be different there in your warmer climate. March to May......
It's a whole think (edit: G) to enter live chat while I'm casting to my TV.. but I'm gonna try to use the word "phenomenal" a whole bunch more. Thank you you for the show...it's beautiful!!!
Man what an awesome video. Cody I love seeing you catching up with your buddies that you haven't seen in a long time. It always turns out for a very good video & I love seeing you having a blast with your friend. That was an awesome hike you three went on. Cody that was a romantic moment when you carry Kelly across the water so she wouldn't get her feet wet. I'm glad you was able to catch up with your buddy cuz it look like a very awesome time. Tell Kelly I said Happy Mother's Day to her and you take it easy and be safe out there.
@@FastRackOverland you are welcome man. I'm glad you had a blast. You have an awesome cat man. Not a lot of cats like to be outside like that. You be safe out there buddy.
It refracts AND reflects. Refraction is when the water bends the light, the light could bend going in as well as out of the water, the particles reflect the light; but, the light reflected could be refracted on the way out of the water as well.
Wow! Rose Miller said it all for me...even using the word "phenomenal". I am blown away by Kellie's cooking skills! On that gorgeous hike you were entertaining when you carried Kellie across the creek. :) Chris and Shopcat were an incredible additional his overland rig was quite impressive. At first glance he looked like Marco from another channel but Marco drives a Jeep with the 392 motor.
I was at Padre island a few years ago and was thinking of driving that same beach, I was told to let air out of your tires to keep from getting stuck in the sand. But You need a way to air up your tires when you get back to the regular paved road. Unfortunately I didn’t have one in my car and it was a little ways to get to town.
Yay your using the mushroom book. Once you get a hand of it you are going to love it. It was my favorite thing to do with my dad as a child. I stated before I lived off grid in a hippie commune most was in a tent but also a school bus, van, amd a tippi my dad made. I love your videos so much. I get to learn about Arkansas watching you guys. I had no idea Arkansas was that beautiful! Y'all seem so sweet. This really brings back childhood memories for me thanks for that!
Great video as always. Sausage and homemade biscuits (~);}!!! As for mushrooms. Get some portabellos. Slice them and diced red onions and red peppers. Make some balsamic vinaigrette. If you want to cheat use the Good Seasons mix. Just use balamic vinegar. Marinate for a few hours. Put them on green salad or sandwiches or eat it as is. I bet it would go good on your hummus toast. Stay safe (~);}!!!
Beautiful area!! You can for sure tell spring has sprung there. Drone footage is so brilliant green! Great episode. Also when you were putting the oven together it sounded like dubbed sound effects but it was real sounds! Very cool. 👍
I really enjoy your videos. You are down to earth folks unlike many other overlanding channels I follow. They seen to have unlimited funds to afford the latest in vehicles or equipment. Also I appreciate that you spend more time in camp and cooking rather than countess miles of driving over dirt trails or showing how to get through mud or difficult terrain. That’s not my idea of overlanding. I enjoy nature! I took an adult ed class on mushrooms identification but never gained the confidence to eat anything I found. In response to Kelly’s statement that “everything burns” in the oven, I found that my oven did the same and realized that the thermometer was totally wrong and indicated low when the temp were much higher. Suggestion: drill a small hole in the door just large enough to fit the probe for your instant read thermometer to see the real temp in the oven or get a new thermometer. I really like Cardamom. I lived for 2 years in Saudi Arabia training their airline pilots and they put it in their coffee during Ramadan. They called “Gawa Arabic” which translates to arabic coffee. Glad Kelly uses it.
Meow😉. Your friend is very resourceful…I don’t think they are the same mushroom either. What a serene location….I could sit there all day just watching the water fall.
Hi you all, fantastic video, food as always Kellie looks so delicious I can almost smell and taste it, as for the kitty 😺 she can almost talk so adorable, beauty waterfall you all really have to name it, see what name you come up with

Good video, thanks. It’s crazy how that cat stays around camp. I’ve been to that waterfall in the past , supposedly there was a old mill around there but I’ve never been able to find any evidence of it but that spot with the fall and creeks running together above it should be a great site for one. I hope to get back there soon,
I always love it when Chris is hanging out with you guys! Great video, PHENOMENAL hike and waterfall. I will say it again, I really enjoy your Arkansas vlogs the most. Nothing is wrong with any of the other places, they are great too. I think it may be that it is because you are home here and visiting the other places. You are just always better when you are home!!!! Always looking forward to your next adventure.
Phenomenal music in this one - i all actually! May I request just a moment ir two where you capture the sound of the spring peepers? I broke and dislocated my foot and am laid up so cant go listen to them. I hear them in your background. Love Shop Cat!!
🐸 Curious if y’all could temporarily place several small stones in bottom of oven so as to absorb/disperse heat therefore being able to utilize a lower rack level while adding a second rack to the camper oven?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on why the water is so freaking blue in Arkansas. It is absolutely stunning! This vlog was epic (or phenomenal lol) Beautiful shots of nature and the water on your hike (that super plush moss was incredible), delicious food, and a new feline friend. In the last video you were talking about mushrooms well today I realized in my area not sure about yours the morale's will be popping up yum yum 😋😋
Love all the beautiful wildflowers. It was so fun seeing loyal shop cat running around. Looking forward to your next video. Stay safe and God bless.

Such a super video! Loved every minute. I'm telling you right now, I love Shop Cat! She should have her own channel!

Walmart has a pizza stone in the grill/blackstone area. It’s under $30. Not sure about size. Some people just buy a tile from Home Depot .

Just add another cup of water to the soup and bingo - there's enough for everybody. Or in this case, make the sausage gravy a little thinner!
