- Turkey's President Tayyip Erdogan launched a scathing attack on Israel on September 21 over recent back-to-back strikes in Lebanon amid the Gaza war. Addressing a press conference in Ankara, Erdogan accused the Israeli government of planning to spread the war to the region. He also called on Western countries to take "deterrent steps" against Israel's actions.
