so when attempting to find the exe for gta 5 or the "gta directory" as you said, of all the files it allows me to choose none of them are applications are executables is there some step im missing or possibly something in my settings preventing me from having an exe version of gta 5? every time i open the game it takes me to the launcher is that possibly my problem?what should i do to be able to use openiv for gta?
so i did everything some of the files werent in the car folder when i downloaed it but i put everthg that was there in the folders but i still cant spawn the car

I don't have the mods folder in OpenIV, how do you get the mods folder?
you have to make a new folder and name it mods in the correct place
