Oh no it’s not sad to be excited about those videos! If it is, then we are worse, watching someone we don’t know outside of RUclips getting excited about picking random book hahhahaha! Keeping our heart young makes us stay young 🤍
I hope you have a great reading month in February. I just finished The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell, LOVED IT. It was my second Lisa Jewell for January. The first one was None of This is True which was like, WHAT THE HELL crazy 😆 I can see why you love Lisa Jewell books.
Great TBR! I enjoyed The Seven Year Slip, Mexican Gothic, and Notes On An Execution 😊 I read After I Do several years ago and it wasn’t my favorite of hers, but it’s still good! Definitely a bit of a sad one and honestly I kinda forgot a lot about it haha so I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts. Hope you love all of these!
Amazing TBR! I literally finished Eileen yesterday and then went to the bookstore to buy My Year of Rest and Relaxation hahah. Eileen was amazing: gorgeous character study. If you're reading it and thinking it's maybe slow, just stick around because you really need all that info to understand her actions in the end. It was a 5 starts, will be thinking about it for a long time. Hope you'll enjoy it just as much❤
I actually really liked After I Do but at the risk of sounding ageist, I don't think I would have enjoyed it when I was younger (late 30's here, so I feel like the demographic for the book lol)
Writers & Lovers is definitely a lit fic not a romance and the way it's marketed had me a bit disappointed because I thought the romance was going to be more part of it!
I really enjoyed Writers&Lovers. I think the depiction of grief is done so good. Mexian Gothic is good too I think(: I rearly really read horror and it took some time to pick up, but I definitely enjoyed it still. Personally I wanted a bit more from notes on an execution but it's probably because I hear so many good things about it. It's really good still! I've have never read anything that is comparable.Excited to hear how you like them (and the rest of them of course) ☺
