Are these cards going to be good for Playing Card Enthusiasts and Card Collectors? Will they be good for Card Games like Poker, Rummy, Bridge, Black Jack, etc? Or will this deck be best for Cardistry and Card Flourishes? And most importantly....how do these cards feel?! I have no idea!
    Let's open some packs!

the Spanish deck the suits are swords(espadas), cups(copas), gold(oros) and batons(bastos). These suits are important because depending on the game, some have more value than others. There is a game in which gold is worth more than the rest. In the Spanish deck there is no queen, the queen is called a horse(caballo) and the rider is a man. None of the three figures is female. The j is called sota and the king is called the king. That deck is a mix of poker and Spanish deck. Normally the authentic Spanish deck usually has 40 or 50 cards. depending on the game. The kings of the Spanish cards are inspired by the ancient Visigoth kings. Germanic peoples who occupied the Iberian Peninsula after the fall of the Roman Empire.
The face that appears on the Golds is that of the founder of the playing card company. Helacrio Fournier.

Thanks for the info! These are probably some of my favorites courts too. Seeing them for so long as a kid and having no idea what they were made them kinda magical to me.

In Spain this deck is much more popular than the French one. This is only associated with poker and Windows solitaire, magic, cardistry and casinos. The Spanish deck has an infinite number of games. tute, brisca, chinchon, mus, shit-eater, donkey, half past seven. To say several. Although the one you showed in the video is the Spanish poker one. It is valid for playing poker like Spanish deck games. The authentic Spanish deck is somewhat different both in size and numbering of the cards.

This made me smile. I’m in Australia, but from an Italian background. So I can relate to the childhood memories of playing cards with my family. The traditional Italian cards have a very similar suit styles: clubs (chicken broccoli) 😂, swords, cups and coins(look like suns). I still play with my parents as often as possible. Keep up the entertaining reviews!!

To say "Fournier", here's how you do it:
The "ou" is like "oops", the first R is rolled (kind of like when you want to spit something out of your throat when you're sick).
The "i" after the "N" is like the i in "family".
"Er" is pronounced just like the "é" in the "déjà-vu" saying.
And now you can say Fournier like a true french man. 😎

Isn't Fournier a spanish brand? I know the surname may be of french origin, but since the creator was spanish the pronunciation wouldn't be furnier?
