Wow. Voltage pinned at 15.
Nice clean, "normal car" friendly install... while still tearing it up pretty hard! If that enclosure is super solid then mounting the amps there isn't the worst thing. Vibration is what kills 98% of amps but the enclosure itself should be nice an rigid so the vibration will be much lower than in other places on the vehicle. I recommend still using anti vibration mounts, or at least some rubber washers to help with the cushion. Great job!
Can’t wait until my SSA Evil 15 comes in Monday. I have a Gately 4.75 cu ft box tuned to 31 HZ to put it in behind the front seat in a 1996 Camaro z28. I think it’s going to get down.
Pretty sure that is a cap bank under the hood and not lithium.
Good Call, I looked it up and it in fact is a cap bank
That little car is so neat and the sub sound real good 👍🏿
Very efficient nice simple build.
No wonder his voltage stayed where it was. He was barely even touching that sub. What did have going to it 400 maybe 500 watts lol that monster has massive excursion it should have been dancing all over the place with anything close to rms on it.
Thanks Jacob for answering my question.
No problem 👍
He needs more power to that sub
Rule for height is 13" distance from roof to the top of the box wich would be the aeroport in this case
Is that an old school Nissan pathfinder parked next door??
Looks like a 2 door model
@4dscdriver it does...we had a 1994 pathfinder I remember having to reverse to engage the auto locking hubs.
I like this simple set up its loud too
I swear I have a 15 DD 700 that puttin in more work then that sub on 700 rms until I ran a older JL 1k clipped the crap out of it an burnt up the up the voice coils. I'll recone it one day only $150 for the 2 piece recone kit. Old amps don't mix well with the newer subs out today I'm going to say. It didn't sound right either I couldn't find a good tuning sometimes have to learn the hard way I guess. Now running 2 12 DD 700s on a Sundown 5k turned up almost half way with 2 big agm 110 amp/hr batterys in back agm red top an 150 amp alternator on 1/0 cable. Still not staying above 12 volts. 11.3 is lowest I'll drop. Really get to hear the true potential of those subs on slowed an reverbed rap. DD subs shuttin everyone down competition wise. Once I herd 1 12 700 I been stuck. You only need 1. The 15 was violent it tore the Jeep up good. The 2 12s puttin in work but not like the 1 15 in terms of flex. Lows the 12s take the cake even my 1 12 hit lows harder then the 15. I like low deep sounding bass. Can definitely tell when you hear those over really any other sub. That cheap loud rattle crap out of your whip like almost a high pitch bass I'd say but roll in with some DD 700's or better you know the difference.
When u build an aero port enclosure u need to put the minimum of the size of the diameter of the port away from the back baffle and the size of the port has to corresponds with the amount of port area the sub needs not just pick whatever port u find looks nice .this is free advice people thank me later
Longest sentence I’ve ever seen
Please explain minimum size of port away from back baffle? Because I built a box before with a port like this and it sounded like sh#t🔊😂
@@theurbanartist775 lol eg if the port diameter is 4 inches it has to at least 4 inches away from the back of the box inside the box
@@sig2322 🤣🤣
Simple but affective respect
Where can I get that port tube?
big ass ports
Seems like he is barely touching that sub. That sub has a long range of excursion/travel.
Can you ask for port area specs on builds
Sure I try but some don’t know even tuning
I have two fi hc 15s on a bass 8k taramps in a 2021kia soul 6 cubic feet tuned to 32hertz and I had to brace my roof because it was warping
Hell yeah, I got 2 FI HC 18s 12 cubes 30/32 hz somewhere currently half ohming an RP3500 installing smart 8 soon
Lol posted comment about voltage 1 second before you mentioned it in the video.
barely moving
Oh good!
Nice 👍 👍 👍
Cool🎉
The sub barely moves lol thats taramps for ya they drop so deep n so fast under 50 hz smh emf audio has a video showing it
