They really be doin shit better than hollywood and telling nobody....pretty unfair, i am starting watchin all this stuff now
The fun thing is, when I was researching Russian cinema I saw a lot of comments from 2000s-early 2010s saying to not even bother making movies since they will never look as good as the Hollywood ones 😄 Honestly, I think many Russians still believe that Russian movies and tv shows are bad. But the rise of local streaming platforms in 2020 really made a difference (at least something good came out of that year)

Happy that you liked it 😊 I've just finished watching s1 of Игра на выживание/The Big Game. I usually don't like shows with dark atmosphere but it was so interesting that I kept going. S2 better not disappoint 😆 Also went to see Сердце Пармы/Heart of Parma in the theatres. I completely understand why this movie became the highest grossing one this year

@spacesandy I still hasn't mastered the courage to watch this show. Covid is still too fresh in my mind 😄 But I'm glad Russian cinema is slowly regaining its popularity. There are a lot of shows worth watching. The only problem is due to current events many foreign platforms don't buy rights to the newer shows. Don't know how available they are to the viewers
