Thank you for this review. I have been looking for laptop because I’m also going to get my masters in architecture and I wanted a good laptop to handle lumion rendering. I have stumbled upon Asus Zephyruz 2022 M16 and now Razer blade 14 2022 that is currently 51% discontinued. I have been looking at a lot of reviews and honestly don’t know what to get while on a budget. Do you have any recommendations?

I've been using a Razer Blade 14 since 2017 (graduated from arch school in 2021, been working for over a year at a firm), and comparing the issue of plugged-in performance and general battery life is not exclusive to razer, almost all gaming laptops suffers from this issue. The only laptop that can sustain full performance without being plugged in is the new M1-powered Macbook, but software support really sucks especially for architecture apps. Build quality and design is a plus as this is currently the best-built and the most professional-looking gaming laptop out there. As I've been using this laptop for 5 years, I'm looking for a replacement. But so far I don't think there's an interesting enough choice for me to switch from this brand...

hello there ! any laptop's performance deminish significantly when its only on battery , its after all a laptop not a desktop duh.... also the blue screen is a problem with windows not the laptop usually you will have to re install windows . no offense dude but clearly you havent got any experience on laptop reviews , no offense .

Thank you for your feedback; however, I must clarify that I am an architect who is sharing his laptop experience rather than a laptop reviewer:)
Although I've worked with and seen colleagues using a variety of laptops, I can confidently tell that the performance issue when the laptop is on battery is not a problem with the vast majority of other laptops, such as the Asus Rog Strix. I'm not sure what the blue screen has to do with Windows, but a quick search will reveal how many people have had this problem with their Razerblade from the beginning.

@@amirhosseinnoori Yeah dont listen to him. A macbook pro can run well without being plugged in. For the BSOD, try a clean install and if it doesn’t fix it, then the problem is the hardware. I would ask Razer Support for an RMA. Good job on the review. Concise and informative!

I’ve been using the razer blade 15 for 3 years, has rtx 2070 card. Battery completely died 1 year ago and the worse thing about it is that it’s hard as f to take off the micro screws at the back of the case as they get stripped very easily. Overall, it has some heat problems but performance otherwise good. Razer is lazy as f with their chassis though they haven’t changed the design for 5 years . Best laptop ever owned was dps 15 which I used for 6 years prior b4 it bricked. The dell xps 17 and 15 current gen has far superior build quality to razer blade and will be the next laptop I purchase

Maybe was an issue with your copy when it crashed, I'm a developer and I put mine through some intense runs and it worked really well, but yes sadly for the full proformance it does need the charger.

thank you for your thoughts, im personally looking to buy razer blade 15 for similar tasks. im interested in how did it perform with architectural programs, 3d modeling, blender, lumion... have you done any testing? i see mixed reviews, some are very impressed and some arent as much. battery is definitely a minus however it cant be expected to run full power only on battery. as far as i know, no laptop does... its always balancing between gpu power and battery life. thats why normally macbooks have such great battery life but lack gpu power. everything under 5 hours of web browsing is definitely not enough for todays standards and i hope razer improves that and finds space for 90Wh or even 99Wh battery. i guess thats what you get for 17mm thick laptop

Hey Thanks for watching the video. I have to say when it’s operating on high performance mode, it’s quite a good laptop. I have tried intensive 3d modelling as well as rendering etc and it has been very good in that sense. However I know that some people use workstation laptops which are designed to perform well even while being on battery, so maybe have a look at those as well.

It's pretty obvious that a laptop like this has to be connected to a power source while performing heavy labour tasks.

I don’t quite agree. Look at workstation laptops

I don’t personally have any good experience in this, but I see friends using laptops like Asus Rog Strix and quite happy with it.

هل razer blade 15 advanced افضل من MacBook pro m1? بالنسبه للمعماريين

Hey, the problem with MacBook is that you are limited in being able to install architecture software.
