  • Yo! It's DrivesAlot bringing you another video on my F90 BMW M5! I was experiencing some hesitation and some misfires and feared the worse. Did I really blow up my f90 m5? The short answer is no. But I did decide to change my f90 m5 spark plugs to a 2-Step colder version from NGK. I replaced my OEM spark plugs with NGK 97506 with a gap of .022 and couldn't be happier! The hesitation and misfires are gone and the car is running like a champ!

So this was after you had your valve pan gasket change I assume as well? Also which specific cylinders on the driver side did you notice the oil on the original plugs you removed before your valve gasket change? I changed my plugs in my E39 Dinan much easier than this beast but as we know with DIY bmw gear heads like us we can figure it out lol. Have been thinking about a 2019 F90 I want to buy scared of the factory warranty being done (past 4 yrs from manufacture date) only has 40k miles and one owner. May still purchase but wondering what scheduled service’s it will need and if that valve pan gasket needs changed which seems to be a common theme with F90’s. You do great work love your videos! ❤

Yes it was after and cylinder 7 & 8 I do believe had the oil.

    Sucks
I am on Bosch platinum OEM o.022 gap. Stage 2 all good, and last way long then the NGK about double.
Could have just gapped the OEM plugs and saved a small fortune and seen if that fixed it.
    Sounds like it has.

When these run out I’ll probably switch back . I brought them from fcp euro so the only thing it really cost me was time

Dude if you don't do something about the coolant expansion tank your going to be buying a new engine and won't have to worry about plugs. If ur lucky maybe just have to replace a few coils, plugs and injectors oh and injectors will set you back only $325 plus for a single injectors.
Or hit me up if u ever need injectors I can get the same exact oem from Bosch they are missing BMW logo lol for $150. They are individually numbered and can be checked on Bosch website I also called to confirm and they are the same ones. Only a few suppliers are allowed to sell. Fyi

@@DrivesAlot yea I had the same issues until I found out what the true problem was and it’s dirt, the S63 engine is very sensitive, and routine oil change plus keeping the gas tank full of shellvpower will eliminate all misfire problems, I change my oil every two months because I daily drive mine, and absolutely no problem it’s very expensive to daily drive the bmw V8 but waiting on 5k mile for oil change on these engines will cost you big big money especially if you are over 80k mileage

The Eventuri intakes suck in a lot of air and dirt. Also that car is probably exposed to a lot of high speed pulls.
