I think we all can say 1 thing, simply aviation provides the best of the best trip reports.
i actually flew once on this Asky Airlines from lagos to freetown as an asian working in africa. Ethiopian Airlines really did an amazing job by connecting the whole africa to the world with its various routes to so many remote and under-developed africa countries. i bought my colleague a two connect flight from freetown-accra-addis abba-lubumbashi with one asky flights and two ethiopian flights.
At 0:46, the recording date appears to be 17 August 2019, which is my birthday!

I flew Asky from Accra, Ghana to Johannesburg South Africa with transit at Lome Togo earlier this year, it was a nice experience but there was no entertaining system. But I loved it

They once had to take Camairco but unfortunately the flight was cancelled (I think) I saw it on their Instagram story

@@jyothiganne9327 It's simply because of the lack of solid management from Camairco. The carrier is significantly underfunded and with the authoritarian regime in Cameroon, it makes it a very hard to do business kind of environment.

Last year flew one of the shortest international flights.. Gulf Air DMM to BAH.. Though officially it's time was 25 mins but we landed in Bahrain 17 mins after taking off from Dammam

arh felix great report as always ,just a couple of questions ,at 0.47sec when you showed the departures where was flight KP020 flying to ?we saw the time and gate but not destination lol ,secondly what a great airport kinshasa is if you love the old boeing 727 ,737 and 707 but is it also a "graveyard" for planes ?i think i saw 5 727's there looks like being broken up ,an,d finally i'd never heard of asky are the fare's expensive ?and as always you do the african vid's tell David what a beautiful continent it is and to do more trips like you !! lol stay safe both of you and hope to see a recent trip report in the near future

Hey this plane is an ex Jet Airways aircraft. Give aways are the Avio Interiors business class seats , the Regent EY seats with an acrylic advertising device on the tray table.
When you said Kinshasa to Brazzaville is the shortest international flight I was like: No way, can't be shorter than Bandar Seri Begawan to Kota Kinabalu.... and then it turned out it actually is :-) Nice report! Like it when you explore less known airlines.

Kinshasa to Brazzaville was in the 3rd.. second was France to Monaco, and the first was Anguilla to sint marteen
Bandar seri begawan to kota kinabalu takes 26 minutes... its not even in top10 world international shortest flight

I'd love to view more intra-African flight videos. There's been a lack of intra-African service (that's why ASky was founded), so I'd like to see the quality of service and passenger loads.

Just some info ASKY is fully private. There are no governements involved as shareholders. Ethiopian Airlines is the majority holder. Otherwise nice channel keep it up.

The fact that there is an air transport route that connects cities that are right next to each other is a very sad thing. It kind of shows that Africa needs to integrate more. A 15 minute flight is not worth it, even for a local flight. Just build a giant bridge connecting the 2 capitals and establish a good road transport system. If cooperation between African countries was good enough, the governments of the 2 Congo's would have decided to build a big airport terminal that serves both cities. I hope it happens in the future.
If Lome is A point, Brazzaville is B point, and Kinshasha is C point, the fflight route would be A-C-B despite the flight path looks like straight line.

Why this scale in Kinshasa, when is only 37 km from Brazzville? 2 take off, makes this fly expensive.
The airline has enough passengers to both cities to fill a plane, and from Brazzaville the plane returns nonstop to Lomé, making it more economical than having two separate flights.
Lome looks like a giant "favela".... Very sad... 08:53 - I've saw that 7o7 in MIA, a long time ago! LOL

Many times, but the Congo River is mighty, several miles wide, very deep and with very strong currents (it's comparable to the Amazon River in that respect), so a bridge there would cost billions of dollars and would be too expensive for the budgets of two very poor countries. Additionally, they're both politically unstable (particularly the larger DR Congo) and their relations aren't always the best, so coordinating efforts and budgets would be difficult, and they aren't always too keen on making it easy to transit between them.
