The O3 kit is due for release. It incorporates a new type of base called the OctaBase designed for use in boxing gyms. I’ve been testing these O3 kits at the local boxing gym and the fighters and coaches love them. You can preview it here: kewlus.com/products/o3-cobra-bag-kit
Brother the reason I'll be a Kewlus fan for life is your fascination and respect for the details and the systems of things, and this video shows it undeniably. I've happily spent money on Kewlus BECAUSE of it's noble spirit that supports DIY, which I've enjoyed with my own Kewlus-built DIY cobra bag
What I've found with the red spring is you want the pvc with pool noodle bag on it to be your reach divided by 3 and can be 1/2inch -1 inch longer than that if want. That puts the pvc into top 3 rings of red spring to maximize speed and is perfect length of top section for reach. This gives max speed and ideal range of motion for specific reach.
With the KS3 being slightly faster and providing more reach with pvc for defense, is there any chance we could get a "defensive diy kit" added to the store? Like a KS3 spring, Max speed bag, ball adapter, base adapter & 2 sets of push buttons? A little discount like the other bundled kits & less on shipping without poles can make the difference for some of us not worried about power hits when procrastinating between the choices & alternative options.
Thank you for the suggestion. I was considering a semi-DIY kit. Although the Adapter and ball would add extra weight so it would be very similar to the KS3 Core kit. I was thinking a kit with an Base Connector, Mast, Click Bar and the KS3 Spring
@Kewlus That sounds great. Would pvc be a little bit better again for reach in the mast because of the flex & still OK for durability due to the mast? Could maybe get away with just base connector, mast & KS3 spring with optional choice of bag & ball adapter for shipping weight? It's only a couple dollars more for a 3m length of pvc pipe too.

This is cool you that with the heavier duty black spring you can keep a nice speed with a longer bag arm for defense
