Yeah I bet..... Rotary mowers have come on a lot and we use them for all of our verges etc... But despite the hard work, I just love the finish I get on the football fields and cricket outfields with a cylinder cut. I hope it wasn't too traumatic for you to watch, Jimmy.
@@JimmyTheMower it brings back some great memories things have changed again still local authority but drive road sweepers I was B.A.G.M.A trained parks and gardens mechanic also agricultural mechanic
I don't think people from outside the industry understand the amount of work involved in maintaining all of these machines and the amount of abuse they take through a season.
I've got a bit of a problem with my parkway 2250. The cutting cylinder is clogging quite a lot. The mower doesn't get a huge amount of work, do you think it's worth getting the cylinders ground? Am I right in saying there is an adjustment for self grinding during use? Thanks
Hello Jimmy, thanks for your videos. Have you made one on re-assembly of the magna 250 head? I cant see it, wondering about the end float adjustment on the central boss. Cheers!
Been watching your videos and learnt alot about these mowers. Cheers. I do have a slight problem with the rear deck on my Ransome highway. It doesn't sit true to the floor? And tips cheers
Bent bar or bent arm. The center cutter is dragged and not pushed like the other 2. When the arm or bar gets battered it makes it difficult to get the hydraulics to push it down properly. Hope that helps, Jimmy 👍
Possibly thanks pal appreciate the input. It looks as though the skid don't touch the floor Only the roller and the cutting plate. Might have to get it sent off to have a look at Thanks again pal
@@billyandrews1576 yeah, it's hard to diagnose over the Internet. If the roller is on the floor and the front of the cutting unit is on the floor then I would say that the bar is bent, this causes this problem.

I will try and make an assembly video when I refurbish my cutting heads again next month 👍
As you pulled the cylinder from the assembly, I was expecting a big cartoon BOING.
🤣🤣🤣
I suppose it was a bit anticlimactic
