Yea I cutted mine then break with hammer and it comes out easily, tried to heat it but without success. This seal ring goes inside row in ring carrier? or just between bearing and ring carrier. Or maybe behind ring carrier? I'm asking bc mine seal ring was broken inside.
@bartomiejsikora910 from memory, I think it is the bearing, then rubber bearing seal, ring and ring carrier. Although the ring and ring carrier usually act as one and you don't have to separate them.
@bartomiejsikora910 yes it can do. The Ransomes manuals are available online so you can see the parts diagrams for the different cutting heads. Alternatively, Spaldings have a parts catalogue and I think there are diagrams in there too.
Thanks for the great video! We have a Highway 2130 at our cricket club and we need to make some adjustments. Do you have a video on adjusting the cylinder in relation to the bottom blade? Ours is tearing grass instead of cutting it! Thanks.
Great video, can you tell me do all 3 heads have to be set the same, as my rear hear doesn't cut the same as the front 2 with all the same settings on all 3 heads. I am cutting at 1 inch high.
Hi Ian, the front 2 cutting heads are pushed along and centre one is pulled along. The bar on the centre cutting heads tend to bend upwards which causes the height of cut to need to be adjusted. It's better to set the height of cut on all 3 cutting heads when they are on the machine and on a level surface. Hope that helps, Jimmy 👍
@@ianwillcox8767 best of luck with it. If it is more than a whole ring out then you might be better off changing the pivot bar. I will be very interested to see how you get on 👍
@@JimmyTheMower Have made the adjustment and every cutting head is different and yes one is more than a ring out on the adjuster. Used a 25mm flat bar on the the workshop floor to make the settings. Going to cut the pitch in a bit so we'll see what happens.
That means the tension isn't set correctly. You need to remove the roller and adjuster and completely take apart the adjuster. I will try and make a video on this but it is quite complicated. You are best off taking the assembly to a repair centre or dealer. Good luck, Jimmy

No, but that is something I will do in the few weeks. I need to refurbish my own cutting heads so that will give me a good opportunity 👍
@@JimmyTheMower awesome, that would be incredibly helpful 😊

Thanks Jimmy, will set it up in the workshop and see what happens. I'll keep you posted..

That is not uncommon at all if I'm honest. The older the machine the more the parts become worn and bent.
Make sure you check the tyre pressure too.
Dropped my middle as low as it will go and still wont cut low enough. Shame my company won't listen to me and get it sorted
It's probably the bent bar that holds it on to the arm which is stopping it from cutting correctly
What if your trying to lower the height of cut and it’s just spinning and not going up or down
That means the tension isn't set correctly.
