Great video. I used the typical parts solvent from NAPA in my HF parts washer for over 20 years. The original little pump did just fine all those years. Last year I decided to convert mine to an aqueous style solvent by going with LA's Awesome! This stuff is incredible. Moved the pump and fluid to a 5 gallon bucket below the tank. Also added a 1500w livestock water bucket heater to get everything up to 106F in about 30mins. This LA's Awesome is easy to to get on the cheap from the Dollar Tree. It easily cleaned some old VW parts that still had some carbon buildup that were sitting in my solvent for like 10 years. I still need to wear solvent gloves with the undiluted LA's Awesome, as it will strip the oils from my hands. But, man does it clean parts!!! Oh, and no fire hazards.
As a FF/EMT for 20 years, I must say, I’m impressed with Dustin’s fire suppression skills. All I could hear myself say was fire-fire-fire (from beavis and butthead)
As best I can tell, ChemDip is carburetor cleaner, which I've always known to be highly flammable. With that said, no sir, we do not recommend that at all.
Reminded me of a fellow one time ' called and asked me if I thought he could use a parts washer as a spray gun cleaner I told him no 'He filled it up with lacquer thinner and did it anyways. Ended up he didn't have any fire insurance on his body shop.
I DONT HAVE A SINK , I WILL BE WASHING THESE SNAP ON TOOLS MANUALLY IN A PLASTIC TOTE. CAN I USE GASOLINE AFTER I WASH THEM WITH DAWN N WATER?? THESE TOOLS ALL HAVE A RED PLASTIC CASE, SAYS SNAP ON.. I NEED TO SELL THEM ALL, ASAP.

I was really thankful I didn't burn down anything. My history of successful fire suppression is pretty scared and beaten.
Before we went, I channeled your inner spirit.
I use diesel as it’s not near as volitile
Could I use Chem Dip safely with your parts washer? Thx

Why use gasoline? Diesel is a much better choice?????
A lot of folks use gas over diesel because it cleans so much better. Obviously that's very dangerous.
