You got to give Kids WB mad props even though they knew there death was at hand they solidered on at there final bordcast like it was business as usual
Starting to wonder if Warner Bros copyright claimed the Loonatics Unleased footage because the higher ups nowadays recognized that it's a bad show and want to forget that it even existed.
Probably more likely that WB's desperate enough to copyright a video that only featured less than 30 seconds of footage because they'll reboot a almost anything
Watching these both to help the algorithm and because I need something to forget about the current year we're in, 2020. Edit: may just make a bunch of extra accounts just to comment and signal boost this. Your channel deserves so much more attention.
@Isaiah Williams If you ask me, The WB was a VERY interesting concept. Believe me, with more successful shows (especially later on in its lifespan), The WB could've been THRIVING.
You know in a hypothetical Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, and Pinky and the Brain sequel series where the Warners are sent to Acme Looniversity with Pinky and the Brain becoming class pets, what kind of episode ideas would you imagine? I could see one where Pinky and the Brain are trying to deal with their new surroundings, Buster and Babs showing the siblings around Acme Looniversity, and Plucky trying to prank the Warners.
@@TheRacingGenius88 I...dk what Miguzi is. But I hope he can get to it soon, at least before the year's out; it'll make the perfect follow up since Pokémon and Yugioh ended.

24:58-25:09 Not only that, but by that point in the block’s run, ABC Kids was running on auto-pilot. It kept on airing the same 10-12 episodes of Emperor’s New School, The Replacements, Hannah Montana, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody; and the same 22 episodes of That’s So Raven (with two half-hour broadcasts of that show airing back-to-back in an hour-long timeslot) from then until ABC Kids ended in 2011, with the only series continuing to get episode updates on the block being Power Rangers, which continued to air new episodes on ABC Kids until 2009 (the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers aired on the block during the 2009-10 television season, and then Disney sold the broadcast rights to the franchise to Nickelodeon not too long after, leaving ABC Kids as basically a living corpse during its final year on the air). I know that Cinepile Studios already did a really good video on the history of the block, but it still would be awesome if you covered Disney’s 1 Saturday Morning/ABC Kids in a future “Attack the Block” installment.
It was one of my wake-up calls to the passage of time, I had turned 21 in 2006, and to watch the wholesale collapse of broadcast Saturday Morning cartoons from the turn of the millennium until my college years was basically a bell tolling in the background of my head. Cable and later cable-supported high speed internet had effectively shattered 'the blocks' to the point where anyone not blinded by nostalgia could see they were financially un-viable. It was like watching great nations shatter, but eventually being reborn into greater (in terms of breadth) confederations. Animation has never been more diverse, had more depth, had more breadth, had more range, had more willingness to revisit the old and grasp blindly for the new. And yet, there is just this awful feeling of loss, that concentrated hit of "there is this specific 4 hour block just for YOU" is dead and gone, and for the sake of television, there is simply no need for it to come back. If they care about the content, they will find a way to get it out; if they care about the ads, ads at 5 PM on a Wendsday sell just as well on cable as 10 AM on a Saturday OTA, in theory at least...
I don't know why, but from kidsWB to CW4kids Vortex, even though they said it came on Saturday the block always aired on Sunday for me, I don't if was because of where I lived or the got air dates wrong 😅
Actually, it IS because of where you lived. Although Kids’ WB was supposed to be a Saturday morning block, some CW affiliates aired the block on tape delay in favor of showing locally produced and/or E/I-compliant programming, causing it to air on Sundays on those stations instead, and the same thing happened with The CW4Kids.
A combination of factors: (1) the WB network's decline (2) families shifted to cable (3) Parent company Warner Media began prioritizing Cartoon Network over the dying WB network and Kids WB (4) This abandoned Kids WB while making Cartoon Network much more kid focused than in the past.
I feel like a minor correction at 6:52 is necessary. While yes, NT Warrior was based on a game series, it was based on the Mega Man Battle Network series.

I stuck around long enough to remember Viewtiful Joe, Legion of Super Heroes, Spider Riders and Magi-Nation.
Don't know why, but the story surrounding The WB itself, not just Kids' WB, is very interesting to me.
@Isaiah Williams Agreed. Wish there was RUclips video documenting the story of The WB, similar to how Connor Higgins did one for UPN.

WB became CW
UPN became MyNetworkTV
I loved Loonatics Unleashed as a kid.
Speaking of which, what was that song he used as he was describing it? Idt it belonged to the show itself.
Nice, that you reuploaded this, after it went private, due to copyright claim from Warner Bros. Entertainment, containing footage from Teen Titans.
This was so well put together, can’t wait to see what happens next for attack the block. I just subscribed:)
Love the use of the DBZ Sagas soundtrack. Great video series!
Then...what the heck was that song in 2005 I wonder?? It's driving me crazy!
Ty for bringing them back! And also, please do FoxBox for Episode 8!!
