Aisha Khan Arts why can u get RAW PULP for paper
Heyy! Loved the video! Is it okay if I fold the paper? It looks like it may ripped in a half if I try to fold it and we definitely don't want that hahahah thanks
@@barbs.archives I did a fold test in the video link above as well! It turns out, if the paper is thin it folds well, if the paper is thick it tears in folding!
This ie what I looking for.. Tq..
I watch till end and maybe I can used it for my Ecoprint.
Hi Aisha Khan same name lol
Sorry I missed the lesson. I was too busy watching your cat be adorable. =)
He is sure to supervise my every project!

Me too your cat was adorable
He needs a hat saying 'supervisor'
lol! too cute
vinegar in the water to clear it i.o. chlorine
this is so cool! i was thinking of making a notebook out of this for my teacher who runs an environmentalist club at school bc this recycles old paper! amazing video
So helpful that you included an easy solution to make the Mould and Deckle! This was a very informative and helpful video! And your helper was very entertaining too.
Yes, every crafty mom, co-op, and art teacher on a budget thanks her.
Thanks for this one! My favourite part was your kitty "helper"... Aren't they great haha
Loved the cat added in there it didn't distract me at all, bonus it was a white fluffy 🐈 tremendous idea on the cheap for a dollar store frame up awesomeness!
Thank you❤️

If you make the deckle out of wooden picture frames, it will float in the water. Then you can just pour the pulp right into it. That would probably result in a thicker piece.
Why do you think she needs a thicker piece of paper?
Marlene Jones some mediums like markers and watercolors soak through thin paper easily and artists like thicker, textured paper for certain works
@@marlenejones6266 Thicker paper can be molded into bowls or cups. I just used this technique to make wee pots that I'll grow vegetable plants in until they are big enough to be transplanted outside.
I think it's better to soak up the water through the mesh instead of putting the sponge directly on the pulp, that way you don't end up with uneven bits from the sponge moving the pulp. But the final result looks great still, so whatever method works for you!
This is top tier internet content. I just watched SEVERAL videos of how to make paper on youtube and yours was BY FAR the most respectful of my sanity and I really appreciate that. You have a LOVELY DAY Aisha, best wishes to you and your adorable furfriend!
i admire people like you sharing this helpful information and as well as caring for the environment.
This is my favorite making paper tutorial on yt! omg so helpful!!!! thank you
Great video! And I loved how much your kitty wanted to be right there with you!!!
Lovely easy to follow paper making tutorial, simplified steps help you through the process and of course your project manager makes it all worthwhile! Cute kitty! 😊
4:05 your cat sits on the box.
You just showed us how save environment and proved a cat theory 🐱
with the amount of energy this uses? sure
and the cat looks somewhat unhealthy.
I keep a box with some offcuts i n it next to my sewing table specifically because my vat does the exact same thing. :'D
Absolutely fabulous tutorial. And thanks for showing us how to make our own deckle easily and cheaply!
You are welcome 🥰
Great video! Using a frame is absolutely brilliant!
Thank you!! ❤️

Thank you Aisha! Great job!
Must say, your cute helper Kitty is so adorable! :)
Yep, I put a piece of paper down just for my cat...cool demo! Thanks
thank you! this helps a lot with my (together w/ my friend's) Mini Demonstration for our report in School. Originally, our MD is about 'making a paper using a grass' but if it wont work, we'll just change it into 'recycling' and I was worried on how it would drain and I thought of a Deckle and a Mould. but I don't know how to make one. luckily, I saw this video. thank you!
Love lots!
Did u make paper with grass? If yes, then Please share the procedure!
@Shaikh Aayesha
I haven't yet. I just read its procedures and I was quite interested on it.
if so, lemme just list it here.
1. get any grass
2. boil it
3. add some detergent power and baking soda (maybe it's for its whitening)
4. put it into a water or you may not. (not quite sure)
5. drain it on a mold/deckle.
6. press till it get dry or simply just dry it on a sun's heat.
the same w/ recycling a paper.
never did I tried. but I will soon. saw it on a manga entitled, "Dr. Stone" so I'm curious.
edit: I'm guessing, you may blend it too. I'll update once I tried.
@@tomochie3025 thanks for the input... 😊👍

What a wonderful video to discover at this grey time. You turned the paper shreds from Cinderella into a beautiful radiant princess. The texture and colours like silk gowns, laid out for us to dress which ever project we choose to use it in. You have so many talents and the videos are a joy to watch. Your paper is a gift that will be treasured by those you share them with. Thank you for sharing. 👍👏👏👏👏❤

O...M...G... thank you for this tutorial... I had made recycled paper in the past but over the years have forgotten how... these are gorgeous... question: are these papers foldable and can you run them through a printer?
I have never used them in my printer! Yes they are foldable. I did a fold test video on this paper, link in the pinned comment above!

Btw can i use this for watercolour ?
I don't use water colors haven't tried it! Check out my video in the comments on testing the paper with other mediums ☺️
i’ve not tried it but i can imagine gouache or acrylics working better.
This is the most helpful one I could find! Thanks!

I have been thinking about making paper from old newspapers. This video totally helped me to understand how to do it! Thank you! ♥️
I had a question, is this paper as flexible as normal paper? I mean, can you fold it in fall without breaking?
Lovely papers
So glad I found your channel with handmade paper series. HGTV Handmade today showed paper making with same DT frames but used screen with bigger holes. How does that change the paper compared to your fine screen? (HGTV had cat in video, too, so must be prerequisite--I've got 2!)
Love your Persian kitty!
Thank you so much Aisha! I have two questions. One- what do you do with the water bath after you’ve made your paper? Is it only good for one piece? Thank you!
I always reuse the water and keep adding more pulp. The only time I change the water is if I want different colored paper!
Omg its amazing idea to stay caĺm during isolation ☺
Stay safe and stay home!! ❤️
You have done a great job
this is a really good tutorial
I love this, l have read all the comments below but l don't see this question? How do you dry your papers 📃 🤔 do you leave it on the towel or hung it on something, if you are able to answer today thank you have two days off of work and would like to play,. Thank you 😊
could you use a stapler instead of a staple gun? Loved the video!
It can be tricky!
Very interesting and looks to be very helpful. Thanks
a Like added mainly for the cat.
Fiction! 🔥 How beautiful it is! 🌷 Paper, just super! 👍
Done. Amazing
Amazing, thank you so much
Great video, very useful! Thanks for sharing! ♥
Had to give thumbs up because cat in box
Hi! I wonder why mine wont come off easily from the screen.
Incredible! thank you!
You are welcome ☺️
This is awesome. Got lots of waste paper i was wondering what to do with it. Can this kind of paper be printed on using normal home color printers? If not what kind of printer would you recommend?
Great question, I've never tried printing on it. Let me know how it goes!
Andrew Mfitimukiza I’ve seen people print things on this kind of paper before. Looks really neat too! :)
@@tinklebottom1649 What kind of printers do they use? Please recommend to me one i can acquire and print
Andrew Mfitimukiza sorry, but I honestly do not know. I’ve only seen it done online. I hope you find the answer to your question though!
MEOWW MIAOOO MIAUUUU 😻🐾😸
Thank u very much this will help to save our world, I will definatly share this with my class mates and this really very nice thanks again to share this vedio with us.
Beautiful!
Thank you so much! Great video.
Thank u loved it
Hey. The pulp keeps sticking to the sponge and I don't know why. Could you tell me why xD?
Yeah that happened to me to I used a towel then
Use more pulp in the water and make the paper thicker
I have everything aside from window netting. Will cloth do, as an alternative?
I have never tried cloth before...let me know how it works!!
Great work ..
Thank you for this information:))
This, I will try.
Hi! was wondering if the paper is brittle or is it sturdy enough to be used for origami as well?
probably gonna use this to do home made Birthday Cards
Fabulous
Can you use what’s in the tub after making one paper or do you have to keep blending and adding more pulp? 🤔
I've found that I can get a good 2-3 uses of the tub before having to add more pulp. The more you use up the pulp the thinner the paper will be.
@@aishakhanarts8313 what if i use the mixture in the blender straight into the mold and dont put it in the tub+water?
@@migs08 I've never tried it but I'm thinking it will probably be too thick and it won't spread evenly on the mold.
@@aishakhanarts8313 i see, so mixing it in the tub with water is needed. what if i add something like white ink in the tub, will that make the finished product white and looks like new paper? need it for a project :D
migs i do it that way but i have a mould that is more like a box. it means you can get more creative with the colours as each page can be made totally different.
Is it safe to use blender you use for milkshakes? 😅 I want to do this but I only have one blender. Also how many minutes before you remove it from the mould and deckle? 🥰
Love the music :) I have always wanted to learn how to make youtube videos. Does the music come on the video making software?
Thank you! You can find a lot of free tracks on RUclips for your videos
I please use your video for my assignments, Thank you
