Thank you so very much for this tutorial. It was very helpful. I took out the valve like you said and sprayed the carb cleaning solution just like you said but I also noticed the spring inside was not going back down. I had to force it down. Put it back. The sound came back louder than before so I replaced it. 50 bucks. If anyone pays more they are getting ripped off. No kit needed. Just buy the valve. Thanks again. You saved me from hundreds of dollars in mechanic labor costs.
$50.00 from where? Best I could find local @ NAPA $69.00 . Internet sites ( rock auto, APW, etc. had to figure in shipping cost so that negated lower prices.
very good video I could fix my mazda that i had that terrible noise i went to many mechanics they dit not know the problem but this video help me to do it .....i bought the new part .... god bless you and thank you .......
I have a 2000 MPV LX with just over 100,000mi. the van's been great, except for this annoying sound. You hit it right on the head, that's exactly the symptoms I'm having and I plan on cleaning it or replacing it as soon as I get off this computer...THANX for the video! Sakosan :0)
Good video I liked that you mentioned what size socket to use on both Battery and Valve im going to replace mine today I bought mine on Ebay so people look there also view there feedback before buying the one I bought was under $40.00 dollars and it was a Hitachi brand same as other sellers that were more costly also I would clean that positive battery cable it can give one many problems even tricking the Transmission to shift wrong and so on meaning many electronic sensors could not be getting the correct reading because of the bad connection on the postive cable and people when your battery post have that white acid built up the battery is leaking it's best to replace it before your vehicle leaves you stranded and nowadays a wrecker tow isn't cheap so thanks for posting this very informative video you da man. 😊
hey i have a question at 2:29 the hose that is connected by the yellow tape with K L E on it what is that called and how to fix it because it came lose on my van ? thatnk you
Hi I am trying to fix this my self my husband is a hard worker but on the roof he is not well in any mechanical work my van shuts down when I turn my ac on or first start my van unless I rev -up my engine and then it will work so went and bought this part so I will see I will let you know any tips would I am a mom of a 11 month old and we live in FL I have to run ac
I see all the comments are 6 & 7 years old so I hope you're still on RUclips and read this. That IAC looks almost identical to the one that was on my old Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. Are they interchangeable between the two vehicles??? Anyway, great videos you have on the Mazda MPV! I just bought one yesterday with a PO401 error code (EGR valve) Any way the IAC valve being dirty, would make it throw that code?
Thanks to your video, today I was able to remove & clean the IAC Valve. Hopefully it'll clear the PO401 error code. Also changed out the Water Pump belt. (The old one was the original & very cracked and worn!!) Tomorrow I'll be changing the Serpentine Belt. It's probably in just as bad a shape as the Water Pump belt.

Yes i'm still on the Tube lol, and a dirty clogged sticking component will throw a code.

+ROSALDO LEARICKSON Seafoam is not good for vehicles, it doesn't clean anything really. That's another way to waste your money.

Try using those other cleaners, that you add to your gas tank.
