I have been using mine on my property as well. The biggest thing I have noticed to help with battery is Sync Frequency. If it syncs more often it eats up the battery
@@strikingmodern I also decided after the first set of batteries to use the rechargeable battery pack I am up to 4 of the Spy Point cameras now I have also noticed that when it gets above 110 degrees they seem to stop working and will tell you the battery is dead But once it cools off they go back to working
@@williamcrist1887 Yikes! Good to know- hasn't gotten that hot yet here in Michigan since I bought it fortunately. How often do you find yourself recharging? One of mine is a serious hike to get to so hope to minimize trips
The mom (doe) was trying to get the fawns to exercise and build up their muscles and agility to be able to escape predators. At the time of that video those fawns looked very very young and like a month later they'd be constantly running and jumping like a rambunctious 3 year old. I own 12 of the flex cameras and have not had a problem with any of them. I'\ve even lost some of the gaskets for the antennas and luckily have not had any rain get in.
I set up my Flex at the end of April and it’s on its first set of lithium batteries. It has been taking 1000 photos per month and it uploads once per day… no video. Should be good until I get back out in the woods in November.
@@strikingmodern 2 out of 5 spypoints stopped working within 2 years and areas of my property that the spypoint cameras were saying there’s no signal or service the tactacams picked up a signal and sent pictures.
Depends on what photo plan you get. There are 4 photo plans: free, basic, standard, and perimum. Free is like a hundered photos per month. Basic is 250 photos per month for 5$ monthly and 4$ yearly. The standard is a 1000 photos per month for 10$ monthly, and 7$ yearly. Finally the perimum which is for 15$ monthly and 10$ if you got it yearly and this one gives you unlimited photos for the whole month.
I use the Free plan for one of my cameras, and the camera with more animal traffic I use Basic (250 shots) so $48 for the year. I go between using photo mode/medium sensitivity and video mode/low sensitivity. If i did all video I’d probably need a higher plan because it deducts 3 photos
@@lily-qo9eq This is correct, I will add that there is an option called the insiders club for $99 a year. Which is a very cost effective if you own more than say 4 of the cameras and they consistently take more than 100 pictures a month and you keep the cameras out for more that 3 months of the year. You get 250 included pictures a month for each camera and a 20% discount on say the standard plan which would make it $8 for that month if say you reach the 250. That is the option I went with as I have 12 of the flex cameras and very rarely did I not have to at least buy the $5 250 option every month. Saves me a lot of money as just one of the cameras with the $5 250 picture option every month would alone cost me $60 a year and $720 for the 12 cameras. Huge $620 savings at the minimum for me by buying the insiders club option. Bottom line if you're getting under 100 pictures a month on most of your cameras or only have 1 or 2 cameras stick with the free 100 picture monthly option.

that is awesome the antennas still seal!!
If you buy the Spy Point Flex S it comes with a solar panel installed. No having to change out batteries. It will save you money in the long run.

yeah I swear the battery life is great, can tell they die faster in the winter but still not bad
I own a few spypoint and tactacam trail cameras the tactacam is by far a better product.
Oh no way! What's better about it? the photo quality?
