I needed this! Please pray for me and my children that’s ALL I NEED AND WANT. I get harassed for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers. I want to give up on my life. But God won’t let me. As a single mother I’m so overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m desperately struggling trying to support them and myself my husband passed years ago I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid all employees must be vaccinated against covid 19. I’m waitressing and I’m so 🙏🏾THANKFUL to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. But even as I struggle every month, and even though I’m ashamed because of my situation and ashamed from all the harassment. Compassion is Jesus’s way. I have faith that God will provide. Please pray for me and my children. THATS ALL I want. GOD BLESS!😊

This is it right here! My wife and I have a testimony to this: God told us to pack up and leave the area we were in. We went to the new area with no income and it was 4 months before we were able to start working and we had a lot of bills. We HAD to learn to give God everything because we COULDN'T have figured this out on our own. Well, we never missed a payment, always had the money for the things we needed (mind you we told very few people what we were going through at the time so it's not like we were begging or anything). That's the power of God, He owns EVERYTHING so there's no need to worry about anything. Now I have a good job and starting a business and my wife owns a business and big things are happening!

I was just literally thinking about every day for the last past week. It seems like this video is made specifically for me, it's incredible. The last few months I've been thinking about changing careers so I earn more, but then I was pondering about all the saints that had riches and gave it all away. Now, I don't have any riches in terms of money, but I just wanted to make sure that I want to change careers for the right reason.
It's about having what you need to provide for yourself and your family which also should take into account your and their future. As for owning a business you have expenses and likely employees who should be paid a fair wage for their labor which in itself is serving other people. Having an abundance of more than what you need leads to greed. Greed is always wanting more than what you need. As Jesus said you cannot serve two masters God and Mammon. As for giving up everything you own to be a disciple of Jesus it's not a requirement. There are those who are called to serve our Lord in which they give up everything that they own especially those few chosen by Him to bring to others the Gospel in the Sacrament of Holy Orders. I remember the would be Apostle the man who was asked by Jesus to give up everything he had and follow Him but the man couldn't do it. The Apostle St. Matthew was a very wealthy man working as a Roman tax collector when he was asked by Jesus St. Matthew gave everything he had away to follow Jesus. The other Apostles likewise made such sacrifices leaving behind their families to follow Jesus. I'm going to tell you why I agree with the Western Church's decision for preferring Priests not to be married and have children. Because like the Apostles the needs of the Church would come before their own wife and children. As such their wife and children would be second in which the wife's husband and children's father won't always be there for them which wouldn't be fair to them.

At times it may be tough to place God first, though all in knowingness, better than not having faith or misfortune to act upon the misguided sense when you’re found to be defenseless against the light of wisdom.

John Wesley and his brother, who left the Episcopalians when they were condemning Catholics got rid of everything, created the Methodist Church and literally hid some of the Catholic people who were Saints. They saved the Church as a whole, that way. When I think about that historical fact, I feel grateful to have examples like this.
I thought God would answer my prayer yet was abandoned. I was mad at first but deep down inside I know he will answer me but in a different way. I just need to be patient.
This video answered a question that comes to me now and then. I live as a religious hermit (for the last 20 years), but I have health challenges, mobility issues, I am blind in one eye and going blind in the other, and I am in constant pain. I really can't sell everything I have and "follow" Jesus. But I AM following Him in an inner journey. As for the "stuff" - I need most of it to take care of this body and mind. One of my personal aims by which I lead my life is to hold everything lightly. So, I am quick to give what I have to someone else, if by giving it away I am not becoming a burden onto someone else. In our materialistic culture, things naturally accumulate, so I regularly give things away to the poor. I am also one of the poor, but not AS poor as others. It is a balancing act. But in all of it, I practice the presence of God and I discuss with Him every bit of it. He is always on my mind. In this way, I live IN HIM. I have, at times, felt like I should give away more, but this video helps quell the overly scrupulous agitations of the mind.
Oh, I love this! I will practice holding the consciousness of this truth every day. As a recovering alcoholic, I work my first step every day by turning my life and my will over every day.
So important in what you said. Remembering our insignificance when we give Him what is already His. I have given and give Him my day and many moments throughout my day I am reminded and so in prayer I do as I have heard from the Saints, what pleases Him most. To surrender myself to Him and let Him take care of everything. Because I'm a "slowpoke"🤗 in understanding what He wants, He's so very much more patient with me. And some moments His grace is more powerful than others. Like earlier today. My hope is that I will always remember, and also, that His Holy Spirit would remind me if I should ever forget, to give all that is already His, back to Him. Also, for the grace to do what He wants with all that He gives. 🙏That's my hope and my prayer.

I've been wondering about this in the last few days . Give it all away , Seemingly everything is being taken away so just roll it . I've lost so much trying to hang on . Stage 4 Cancer ,teeth falling out ,amputee ,broken bones ,sick Foreclosure . I feel it ?I've lost it all ,just give the rest away ,Walk ,distant friends and no family . Just Walk and accept . Not sure if I am being punished or being stripped down so I rely on God only . . Many revel in seeing me fail ,suffer and lose , Worked so hard and now I am helpless
Take it with a grain of salt. Jesus was a carpenter so he must have had a table probably not an expensive one but a table non the less. He asked a certain man to sell everything so if you're called to do that the do it! 💖
I actually like this message. I recently analyzed that if I took some of my time and gave it to God, and managed it well, things would end well. I learned that we don't give everything away but give to God to prove how much we love him back.

Thank you Fr. Mike for your encouraging teachings. In reaction to what you say from 2:46 to 2:56, I think we do have a blanket statement found in Luke 18:28-30. Here, Jesus promises a reward to ANYONE who forsakes all for the kingdom of God. Please advise if I have misinterpreted the scripture.
I love these one question clarification talks. It clears so much up that doesn’t always get discussed in BIAY. I think we sometimes want to compare ourselves to God’s disciples. Not every one of us is called in that way. It makes so much more sense.

I've been wondering about this in the last few days . Give it all away , Seemingly everything is being taken away so just roll it . I've lost so much trying to hang on . Stage 4 Cancer ,teeth falling out ,amputee ,broken bones ,sick Foreclosure . I feel it ?I've lost it all ,just give the rest away ,Walk ,distant friends and no family . Just Walk and accept . Not sure if I am being punished or being stripped down so I rely on God only . . Many revel in seeing me fail ,suffer and lose , Worked so hard and now I am helpless
So grateful for you Fr. Thank you for proclaiming the Gospel and lifting us up.
Take it with a grain of salt. Jesus was a carpenter so he must have had a table probably not an expensive one but a table non the less. He asked a certain man to sell everything so if you're called to do that the do it! 💖

I actually like this message. I recently analyzed that if I took some of my time and gave it to God, and managed it well, things would end well. I learned that we don't give everything away but give to God to prove how much we love him back.

Thank you Fr. Mike for your encouraging teachings. In reaction to what you say from 2:46 to 2:56, I think we do have a blanket statement found in Luke 18:28-30. Here, Jesus promises a reward to ANYONE who forsakes all for the kingdom of God. Please advise if I have misinterpreted the scripture.

I love these one question clarification talks. It clears so much up that doesn’t always get discussed in BIAY. I think we sometimes want to compare ourselves to God’s disciples. Not every one of us is called in that way. It makes so much more sense.
