Today I got a model of that exact aircraft you flew with: --------------------------- Boeing 747-4U3 Garuda Indonesia "Nature's Wing Livery" (2009 - 2012 for GIA B747-400's) PK-GSH Line Number: 1029 Age: 27.0 years Status: Scrapped / Broken up at Jakarta Soekamo Hatta (CGK / WIII) in May of 2021 Scale 1:200 JC Wings --------------------------- And so far I m very happy with the accuracy of this model, the PK-GSH was also the last B747 that flew for GIA. Nice video a shame many of these B747's can't be reflow or reviisted, from the 1574 made only 444 are still in use worldwide, where of most are freighters. Ane stuju dg kputusan garuda untk tidak membeli A380, liat video ini sja sngat jelas bhwa kapasitas penumpang belum bisa memenuhi kuota yg diinginkan, padahal 4 engine sangat menguras bhan bakar. Bner kata direktur garuda, singapore dan malaysia airlines msh terus merugi dr pembelian A380.
Actually there is inflight entertainment available on the GA 747 , but they give out portable media players for it , since the 747 is an old plane in the GA fleet , and it doesn't have integrated IFE's like those on the GA 737s , A330s and 777s
wow.. visit to the cockpit during the flight is really shocking me.. I don't know how the policy in GA but I don't think its allowed in general. Anyway nice video, unfortunately GA B747 is a little bit old, probably retiring soon IMO and replaced with the new B777.. too bad Soekarno Hatta runway can't accomodate the A380.. would be lovely if GA has the fleet of A380.

I flew GA frequently but never been abroad with any of GA's fleets. Hopefully they can offer a reasonable price like what Turkish airline and other midle eastern carriers have been doing so long.

I flew Garuda London Gatwick to Bangkok in 2000. Looks like it's not been updated since then Bad maintenance then number 3 engine nearly came away from it's mounting on take off. Aborted had to wait 24 hrs for replacement plane

The 747 will be used from Surabaya, Makassar, and Medan to Jeddah. Also the only available 747 from Garuda Indonesia is PK-GSH and PK-GSI
