As a solo player that plays team based game modes, this is the worst multiplayer experience I ever been a part of. The maps are so bad that I can’t even play the game.
Insta quit. Every time i load into FFA i spawn EXACTLY how you just said. Either next to someone , or directly in front of them for an easy kill. Smh .
You say that because you can't play team death match you play Free-for-all only. Playing these maps 6v6 isn't fun especially when SBMM kicks in, they put the worst players alive on your team, Ghost perk doesn't always work, silencers don't keep you off the map, flak jacket doesn't always work and they start spawning enemies beside you and Nerfing your bullets 😅
I'm sorry but no these maps are not good, especially with this ridiculous spawn system. I'll take the dlc maps from last year because the spawns (which still weren't good) but were better than this year. Also what this does is take away from using streaks. This game doesn't want "streak spam" so it seems like thats the vision for this game. Call of Duty is also about using kill streaks which make the game more fun and that has been nerfed and taken away because of all this. Maps like Red Card may FEEL better in FFA because no one is spawning in your pocket so it feels like a normal match.

Murdashow- we like small maps but we don’t want ONLY small maps. We want a mix of small and medium size maps. It’s hard to go on streaks and stay alive longer than 30 seconds when the maps are this small because the enemy team spawns so close and you have no chance to avoid getting ganged up on. On medium to large maps the enemies are a little more spread out and it’s more strategic and actually gives you time to breathe and move around the map. It basically just dumbs down the game. That’s why shipment is annoying to play cause it’s just mindless chaos.

But when you have to fight for your life on every single one its not fun. I don't play warzone but I agree thats how they design these maps. So many lines of fire, multiple paths, and the DOORS. The speed plays a part because everybody can get to your spawn fast asf ,kill you then go to the other spawn point. Would be alot more enjoyable without Sbmm/Ranked

Small maps are just one portion of the problem. The main problem is people move and slide around too quickly. Making those smaller maps even smaller. This game is suited for medium size
I like the game, but maps become a problem in FFA with SBMM. You're either constantly spawning within 5 feet of someone or someone is spawning within 5 feet of you, and since everyone can shoot straight it becomes an awful clusterfuck experience. Team based spawning is slightly better, but the bad maps really show themselves in FFA. I could see FFA with no algorithm being fun because it's more easy targets being fed to you quickly.
Only play a hand full of maps. If it's too many ways to be approached I don't play it. I shouldn't have to guess from 5 different ways a enemy can come from. 70% of the time you don't even see who shot you

I checked my win loss records and the game counted my first place win as an official loss, it happened twice in one night . I am outraged and furious and it only happens if you get first place . I don't like the 50 diff ways you have to access every area of the map. Things started going downhill when we were giving the ability to enter into every single building.

If you play the game without those things you wouldn't like some of these maps and would have a different opinion of the game. Believe I was the first to declare my utter disdain for Lowtown, but after learning the map it became refreshing af and a break from Nuketown. A mini BR map is the best way to describe it and makes sense if its a mini part of the BR map.
I like the big maps and a small ones, sometimes. i do agree if people stay on the maps and don't quit. It is fun, however I know people do quit because of the algorithm. I do it myself.
If they are just gonna take stamps from the warazone map they should at the very least let us pic our own stamps. Literally the entire map should be up for stamping and playing.

The main issue I have is in REAL sbmm lobbies players only play the spawns and watch from spawn points. The death of cod is the streamers that showed the next generation how to play like scummy creatures.
It’s not that the maps are too small. It’s that these maps ARE 3 lanes but within those 3 lanes there’s another 3 lanes. It’s way too chaotic and close quarters. Like firing range for example is very open and doesn’t have many obstacles within its lanes. And then compare that subsonic. Everywhere throughout subsonic there are headglitches, corners, and random obstructions that your forced to interact with by either sliding around or peaking. The simplicity of the old map design would’ve worked really well with Omni movement but these maps just feel so overly convoluted that it feels like treyarch only wants us to camera people and slide around corners. It just feels very limiting. That’s kind of why I don’t like the map design but I definitely do see murda’s point.

For me its the best new gen cod, warhead, airplane hanger maps are my favorite as n ffa player, love the small maps 6v6 moshpit, sbmm almost doesnt matter, My only problems are with the anti cheat, redcard and varccuta Gun fights feel good even on console playing on a tv and i get a mix of easy and hard games.

For me its the best new gen cod, warhead, airplane hanger maps are my favorite as n ffa player, love the small maps 6v6 moshpit, sbmm almost doesnt matter,
My only problems are with the anti cheat, redcard and varccuta
Gun fights feel good even on console playing on a tv and i get a mix of easy and hard games.

Grenades and launchers are way overpowered.

Murda I am not going to lie the reason why the maps are so bad it because of spawns that is literally the only reason. If they fix the spawns I think people would love the maps.
It's not the spawns that make the maps bad. It's the fact that there is not team work or communication on the teams. People constantly flipping the spawn
