Fax liberty falls is a better bo2 town for me, terminus had a unique map, and with Citadel de mors I think we getting back to bo3/bo4 unique maps for bo6 dlc life cycle
@@andersonblock1211 that's why I was a fan of Liberty Falls even since COD NEXT, it was the casual map that allowed the devs to not concentrate the DLC map efforts to catering for the casual community since Liberty Falls fulfills that purpose
@@TopSuperKicker I will say one thing I wish it was taken place during the fall kind of an evening setting and the town decorated for Halloween but overall, I’m really happy with the map otherwise but it still looks good as it is now
They shared the data that it was a 2 to 1 ratio on playtime Liberty Falls to Terminus. Hopefully they don't take this at face value. I hope they know this is inflated due to camo grinding lol
I love the lack of moody lighting in liberty balls. There shouldn't be an evil aura for a town that's only been infected for an hour. But the dark aether in the church NAILS the lighting
yeah, the original lighting was too much, I think this current setup nailed it, not "oh its a summer day" there's definitely an apocalypse going on, but it also isn't terminus overcast.
That’s the thing though, I think people are saying the atmosphere is bad because it’s too realistic or at the very least separate from realism. That’s why they said it looked like a multiplayer map which is famously realistic and bland. I’ve grown to not mind the atmosphere much but idk man, imagine if they took that map and made it spooky as hell like the town on Halloween. Kinda the point of video games IMO they can make the setting as cool as they want they don’t have the rules of being realistic like the real world
I rather like Blanchard. He was essentially the only character to ever express more than a basic care for the team we play. Whenever you beat the Easter egg, hearing him straight up say "don't you dare hurt them!" While being forced to do ultimately nothing, knowing he's unintentionally at partial blame, it's just heart breaking.
Same. All love to my friend but he is not naturally good at games but it’s amazing to not only see him excited about zombies but also seeing him playing by himself trying to get better. He isn’t a big ee guy but I went through the Liberty Falls ee with him and he enjoyed it.
Did that shit 3 times yesterday with randoms😂actually is pretty tight just wish people would stop exfiling right after so we can run around with all perks and maxed guns. People always leave mid 30s no one goes for 40+, you don’t even get to take anything with you I don’t understand the rush to leave
Every part of it I’m enjoying. The warzone, bo6, call of duty subreddits are going absolutely ballistic but I’m having a hoot with it all for the first time in a long time I’m enjoy grinding a game
It's a very smart move to have the small and dense "gameplay" map, and then the more complex and stretched out "story" map. Especially with the progression system, LF makes it really easy to just get going and play for purely survival or camo grinding. But Liberty Falls has my favorite egg head in it. Not just book smart, but street smart.
A lot of people say they like it for the camo grind and such, but it’s really just a fun simple map with a short easter egg I do almost every game because it’s so easy. It’s literally a slightly bigger town with a Easter egg
Its not replay friendly... the easter egg is top 3 worst in zombies history, while most only prefer liberty because its the most easy map and full of glitches@@yazer9821
Yeah I honestly am using it for camo and level grinding and then whenever I achieve the goal I went in with I wrap up the Easter Egg. It also has enough open space that it let's you take advantage of omni-movement a bit better, and really let's you take control in a way that the tighter spaces of Terminus often doesn't allow. The new one falls somewhere in the middle
I don't get why people are so unhappy with the setting on Liberty Falls. It's set short after a zombie outbreak, so why do we need the stereotypical dark moody setting? I think it's cool that it looks like an actual realistic town that is going through an apocalypse, rather than a dark moody destroyed town that's been abandoned for years. I thought Liberty Falls was amazing when I played it, and then I found out afterwards the community didn't like it
This is so true me and my friends just couldn’t understand how the community thinks that each map no matter how long the zombies have been there it needs to look like verruckt or kino
The whole Liberty Balls situation that happened before launch with everyone complaining about how its so bad is the same thing as if someone would focus on bo2 nuketown zombies instead of tranzit for example.
@@theweekndxo7438 not just him, there are SO many people who ignored terminus and focused of liberty falls just cuz it was cool to hate on the game. its pathetic to see what this community has become
@@deepfriedbollocks4402 no you muppet. the point is that the map is being treated like the main map of the game, and worst of all, its the people that wouldnt play it anyway who criticize it for shit they dont actually care about. they just want to get views and money off a negative thing about a game that everyone hated before it even launched.
@ it’s incredible how smooth your brain is. Once again just brushing off valid criticism. Yes me, some random is definitely getting money off of hating Liberty falls because I think the map looks and plays like shit, aswell as terminus looking and playing like shit. “Criticising it for shit they don’t care about”, oh ok you mean like the look of the map, the atmosphere, the lack of characters, the re using of enemy types, the removal of field upgrades and perks from Cold War, the armour system, the point system. Ye no one cares about those things right.
They really did nail it. Frankly I really like the look of the map. It definitely feels less “zombies” but I think that’s to its benefit. When you see the bright visuals you immediately know you’re in for a different kind of experience and I think that sets you up to be more receptive of what the map has to offer.
The atmosphere is perfect. The reason it doesn't look dark and dingy atmosphere is because they had already been in ourbreaks. Liberty falls had been in an outbreak for 1 day. Of course it isnt going to have the atmosphere as other maps do
I remember cod said liberty falls in played twice more then terminus, when a bonus map is more played then the main map is telling they did something right.
@@mychealmcknight7963 could inflate the numbers so well have to wait to see what players actually play and enjoy. For example, jev played zombies solely for the camo grind
@@gdlecha5431 you forget that's what the map is intended for right treyarch said it themselves for casual just to get them to slowly immersed themselves to the zombies experience or earn camos terminus on the other hand is a more difficult yet fun challenging experience not good for the camo grinding so of course people are going to flock towards Liberty falls it's pretty obvious
@@mychealmcknight7963Liberty falls is just a fun uncomplicated Map. Terminus on the other hand is relatively complex has many things you need to understand before you can even really start playing. You need to activate the 3 generators before you can even really play the map. In liberty falls you just need to buy doors.
Liberty falls and terminus are the two best launch maps they've ever made. I have played so much liberty falls because it's straight forward and easy to get into. So replayable. Terminus is cool but it's not one I'd play for fun.
I think it would have been good to have the map start with the atmosphere of Liberty Falls and then every ten levels or so the tone gets darker, we get the atmosphere pulled down, so that we go from the initial wave of zombies until it’s becoming overrun and the area is falling to the hordes of zombies.
The only thing I dislike about the story elements is how obvious its made that we're gonna be betrayed. I do like the mystery of who Panos is talking to, and what the relationship/goals of both Panos and the other entity are, hence the "scores to settle".
Isn't it said that when we load into the map that we're here to locate and extract this scientists? Plus With panos's scores to settle (i.e. Richthofen) could we see him teaming up with the current crew
I can say the same to you, brother. It's a blessing to finally understand this platform and how to navigate the treacherous waters. Kudos to you and keep working hard.
I did something different, I focused on Terminus for the first month of Launch. Then, in the second month I played only Liberty Falls. It definitely preserved the novelty of Liberty and is a complete polar opposite of Terminus. I can’t wait to play with swords this weekend.
I was one of the ones who were going "let them cook" while advertising was going on and, seeing how its all been playing out and with Citadel right around the corner? I could not be happier or more satisfied
This is the first time watching one of your videos and I gotta say you put this video together really well. With that said this is my very first zombies I have ever played and I am glad they are making such great improvements to the mode.
Omnimovement and the speed characters move would break a lot of the older maps. Bo3 maps (including chronicles maps) feel extremly tight compared to liberty falls/terminus
liberty falls is one of the best beginner friendly zombies map tbh its not like old zombies but in new zombies its the best and tbh my go to map to grind on or just to play casually
I'll watch every video you make, man. I appreciate you never sacrificing quality for quantity and always releasing straight bangers to listen to while I work during the day or drift off at night. You can feel the passion in every upload and it's so fresh to have in this community. I hope the Afterlife persona is your everlasting one
Because it's casual fun we all just want a fun map to play on not some shadows of evil or origins where you have to do a buttload of things just to enjoy the map
For me it depends on my mood. Though I can almost guarantee Terminus numbers would be way higher if everyone wasnt grinding camos on LF lol@mychealmcknight7963
I really like the ambiance of of liberty falls to be honest, the small town vibe with the oppressive project janus background is really cool to me. The large towers in the background with the sounds really gave me that larger than life feeling that I remember getting from origins with the robots, just to a lesser extent. The only difference I'd have made is to add more dark aether purple to the church somehow so it would stand out even more when you spawn in.
Liberty falls is one of my favorite maps of all time, I just love the maps with daylight. The darkness doesnt really give me immersion anymore with the new engine, it's a zombies game, that alone brings enough grittiness and darkness. I loved fire base z too
The redemption zombies made the s crazy. I don't think anybody was expecting it to be this polished and tightly designed. Still needs some work but it's crazy how fun it is. I've grinded for nebula since launch so I haven't played for a week so I don't get burned out for the new map drop
me and 3 buddies ran the liberty falls easter egg and it was a blast. Two of our friends hadn't really played zombies and the other like me hadn't played zombies for a long time. We had a blast doing the easter egg, our buddy had a clutch play with Idle eyes that saved us during the final fight and we are excited to complete Terminus sometime soon We already ran the aster egg once but didn't have time to try the fight
I personally love Liberty Falls. I love the daylight. It actually is extra atmospheric for me, because it's like you can feel the warmth and safety of the sun but then that's shattered when you hear the first zombie making its way too you You look around and the juxtaposition between the warmth of the sun and the destruction around you is so powerful You get down off the roof, you head towards the chicken restaurant, and you hear a woman crying inside. You can't see her, you can't find a way to save her, but, you know she's there. Scared and crying. You get farther into the world and look inside the houses and see that they are ransacked Eventually you get to the church and open the, almost organic, door and go in and it's suddenly so much darker, it takes a moment to adjust Then you step back out and it's so much brighter it takes a moment to adjust But the looming threat of the zombies is never far from your mind as you hear them snarling and scraping their way towards you In my honest opinion, using gloom and darkness to create atmosphere is often cheap and lazy. And. Doesn't match the real world. The real world, tragedies happen on the nicest days, and having that juxtaposition between the nice and not nice is what makes this map feel so real and so... menacing in its own way
12:50 the dark aether multiplayer maps from MW3 might be what you want to see in mainline zombies, there's variety in those maps that we should see in zombies.
Liberty Falls’ finale music (Liberty Jungle) is a great high energy song that immediately went into my playlist when BO6’s zombies OST released on Spotify. Still gives me occasional chills down my spine! Also, the Jet Gun having such a beautiful comeback is absolutely insane and I’m all for it. BO2’s Jet Gun feels like a toy compared to this new rendition, which is much more like a portable death machine. I love the fact they turned its greatest weakness- its explosion upon overheating- into a key strength, since now you can suck until you’re about to overheat and combine it with its blast of doom! There’s something so satisfying about the way it beeps louder and louder the further you push it that makes it feel like it truly deserves the title of being a “wonder weapon”.
I will say. Liberty falls has valid critiques ofaesthetic and not having a set crew but even with those, its technically one of the best if not the bonus zombies map we have. Its a complete map with pap, with wonder weapon, easter egg, side easter eggs, story agregation and gameplay resourses. The map is not perfect but if we co sider all the bonus/ side release maps of the zombies games libertyf alls is really high there. And the most I play the map the more I like it
I can not state how happy I am that bo 6 not only delivered a S rank experience but raised the bar while doing it, I really can wait for the new map to drop sense these two started so strong.
Love to see that Liberty is getting the appreciation it deserves! People were extremely skeptical and hateful during and after CODNEXT towards the map and it seems that sentiment has done a 180. Just love to see it
Sometimes I don’t want to do another Easter egg or go on a camo grind, i don’t want to grind or overthink, I simply just want to play some round based zombies like back in the day, and for that LF is great!
Ngl I was super sketchy about liberty falls at first but my bestfriend and I are having so much fun grinding camos on it and doing the ee together. We haven't done terminus yet as he's getting used to zombies but we're having a lot of fun. It's a surprisingly good map
The beamsmasher in Terminus only being required to perform one EE step is criminal. You have a weapon that literally condenses energy into a super sonic beam AND has an alternate fire that emits “waves” that weakens zombies…and the only thing it’s used for is to damage a trap? That just doesn’t sit right to me. The WW would feel crucial to the map’s design and EE. Like I need to build or acquire it to truly experience the map as it should be experienced. Like it has me questioning why other things can’t damage the trap to get the item? Why can’t dark flare get the item (I kinda want to try this now)? It’s such a cool WW design and it’s one of those weapons that sucks on first use, but after you actually learn how to use it, it becomes an amazing weapon to give you a breather from the zombie onslaught. Especially in the boss fight.
I appreciate the duality between liberty falls and terminus. Terminus is more "old style" as a map (closer spaces, less training spots, simple EE but hard boss fight) Liberty is more casual (as it describes). It's easy (1st game I played on it, no augments but still achieved 26 and extracted because allies were down every round), good for camo and just chilling one. It's worth to play, even as a mid experienced zombie player (achieved 36 on kino, played all Bo3 EE and played some Zombie chronicles, played cold war. Maybe not a monster but above the entry-level player). Game is "difficult" after 30 (reached 45 on terminus) but still enjoyable. Goooood work ATM. Just waiting for citadel, it will say if this game i a banger or just mid.
If every season, they changed liberty falls very slightly, breaking some walls around the church for extra openings, the bowling alley messed up. The bank roof has holes in it to drop into the bank. Grass growing, wildlife ( natural not animals ) We would be stoked. By the end of blops 6, it's a destroyed town due to manglers and so on.
My main gripe with this map is that it doesn't feel as important as it should. With its teases in mw3, it feels like it's missing some lore bits, like why was Ravenof so worried about Ava being there if we ended the outbreak and closed the breach, why was the mirror able to act as a portal. I feel there should be more to the map
I mean the story is still being told so there’s a chance that it will pay off at the end of the game’s lifecycle my problem is when developing the map’s main quest egg they didn’t stop and think “wtf are we doing with this quest, it doesn’t match the opening cinematic at all”
I don’t think their finished with liberty falls yet hasn’t anyone noticed two trails blocked off by barriers leading up to the mansion and another trail to the towers? A lil conspicuous 🤨
I don't think Liberty Falls has any issue with the atmosphere. That's the entire goal, it's supposed to be an average town in the very early stages of civilisation crumbling. For anyone who does think the map has no atmosphere, a very easy solution which would be new for Zombies, a day/night cycle. It would basically fix the whole "no atmosphere" because you'd experience the change first hand and what both atmospheres would be like. The bright sunny town just hit by an apocalypse and the first night of darkness where all hope fades away. It'd be perfect.
I think the Saturation and Contrast of the older games engine made the maps feel more “moody” based on that aspect alone. MW3 and BO6 both have that “fuzzy” and monotone color palette so it makes the games seem less lively and atmospheric imo. BO6 seems to just be reusing the assets from MW3 zombies because both games look the exact same
@@guesswilsey I don't really see how there is all this evidence that it takes place at night time. Do you have conclusive evidence? This is a copy and paste reply bc I figured people would leave comments like this. No hate - I'm genuinely asking. 1. There is no clock in the map - we don’t know the specific time the map takes place. 2. It may be dawn/dusk at the very earliest/latest. 3. It is possible to see the moon during the day, and with higher elevations, it is even more plausible to see it so clearly. And if we use The Giant as a counterpoint to measure how Treyarch utilized night in BO3 with a moon… it’s clear that The Giant has a darkened sky box and that DE has an early morning or early evening sky box in the mountains with the moon being visible. Lastly, the argument being made isn't entirely based/relevant to if a map takes place during the day or not. It’s the use of daylight or sunlight. Nuketown takes place during the day, but it wouldn’t be a good example to use bc it’s so overcast. This is why I tried to use a variety of locations for examples. I just don't buy the argument that DE is definitively at night, which there is evidence to point in the opposing direction. Unless there is a character quote? I know sometimes Dempsey would state the time in his field report quotes.
Btw, blops 6 made me an OG return to cod after quitting after infinite warfare. I bought several cods, never played more than 10 hours. I'm now 276 into blops 6, that's almost 12 days.
Just to answer everyone in this thread at once. 1. There is no clock in the map - we don’t know the specific time the map takes place. 2. It may be dawn/dusk at the very earliest/latest. 3. It is possible to see the moon during the day and with higher elevations it is even more plausible to see it so clearly. Also would change our relationship/perception of it. Lights turns on in cities/towns at dusk, dawn, or when visibility is low - especially when there is lots of snow. Likely transporting on the lift from the town to the castle made communication through light necessary for safety. Also, if we use The Giant as a counterpoint to measure how Treyarch utilized night in BO3 with a moon… it’s clear that The Giant has a darkened sky box and that DE has an early morning or early evening sky box in the mountains with the moon being visible. Lastly, it’s not really relevant if a map takes place during the day or not. It’s the use of day light or sunlight. Nuketown appears to take place during the day but it wouldn’t be a good example to use bc it’s so overcast. This is why I use a variety of examples to make the point since it is uncertain which time really any of these maps are taking place unless it is super evident like a Blood of the Dead or a Liberty Falls. Unless there is a character quote to put a time on it, I really don’t think the evidence supports the claim the map is at night anymore than I can support it’s during dusk/dawn. And even if it is at dawn or dusk - shi no numa also has a similar tonality with its time (perhaps an early morning in the swamp) why is there no issue there? Bc there is no moon? Just looking for consistency in the position - this isn’t meant to be hostile. Either way I’m not saying anyone is wrong - I am saying it’s not clear as I have provided plenty of evidence for the contrary.
this is just my theory but i think Dr Panos was talking to Sam since a voice line he has starting that a deal is a deal and when he gets out he will try and find the other persons friends
i was watching this and i was hearing that black ops 6 zombies lobby music and was like "oh yeah this is a great touch to the video background music" and then realize i left black ops 6 open while drinking a hot chocolate lol
Treyarch cooked so hard with bo6 zombies. Really excited for Citadel. This game really has the potential to be as good as bo3 if the upcoming maps are as fun as liberty falls and terminus
My fear is that once the camo grind ends most players won’t touch the launch maps because they lack substance I don’t know what it is but I don’t see myself playing LF as we move deeper into the year. I’ll play terminus sometimes but looking at it now, it’s not a strong map. Decent but lacking density 7/10
Love the video, but slightly wrong timeline. You miss out on dialogue from Panos if you build the JetGun previous to interacting with the SDG (machine in the church).
I don't think Liberty Falls or any of the Dark Ather storyline needs any dramatic or crazy shit happening rn. The story is still getting started and needs time for the story to develop. While hardcore fans might hate me for saying this its possible that they could make a story close or even on level as the original Ather story.
So I'm about 10 mins in, but before I forget my thoughts I want to throw in my 2 cents. I massively disagree with anything and everything that anybody has to say about Liberty Falls not being good atmospherically or anything along those lines. The reason I disagree completely with the negative views some people have, is that I feel they're living in the past, and I don't mean that in a rude way. If you look at the other "bonus maps" they all have such different tones for a reason. They are being slotted in with generally minimal thought put into their overarching purpose, and so they're simply being made to fit the theme of zombies. Liberty Falls however is telling its own story. The beginning of this outbreak. We're not going around the ruins of Nuketown or anything like that, where it's filled with rubble and debris. We're going through a town that seemingly hours before was normal, but had just experienced a catastrophic zombie outbreak. Go through the map a few times and consider what you hear Blanchard saying as you play the map, and it makes a lot more sense and in its own way, massively out performing the points made in favor of other maps. Some of the lines that come to mind are these. "Welcome to Liberty Falls. Population... Well, less than yesterday." As well as, "We need to figure what caused this, even if it turns out it was us." While lastly my favorite is something like, "These people trusted us... And we failed them..." Blanchard is a seemingly genuinely good person, he cares about the people and feels both responsible and accepting of being held accountable if him and the people he works with were the problem. He's meant to show that this place is still with real, regular people. We're not showing up weeks if not months or even years later, trying to resolve some issue as part of a storyline. We are essentially the first responders, trying to assist a town and its people going through a crisis. The point is that Liberty Falls doesn't have the same tone as other maps, because it's vastly different from I think literally every other map. The closest to it I can think is Call of the Dead from BO1 of all maps. COTD's opening cinematic is the filming of a movie, so it has a "serious tone" but then goes comedic, until hell breaks loose. Then we play as the actors, who if I remember right, still talk as though a movie even though they're genuinely fighting for their lives. Liberty Falls is bright, cheery, and different from what we are used to, because narratively speaking it IS very different. This isn't a place we're just going to for one step of many in the main story we play through, and it's not just a largely random side thing like say Five where it's clearly a comedic and for fun map. Liberty Falls when we play it is at the beginning of an outbreak. We are the first responders to try and stop it and help the people. Power never went out yet in the city so perk machines are up and running and the laser walls we have as door buys are powered to try and prevent the outbreak. A number of potentially pre-spawned zombies that are people that turned, still trapped in or under cars, zombies that're still eating people that hadn't turned, all exist. Things that are rare if ever in other maps.
After pausing at 8:46 I feel like the atmosphere of Liberty Balls could've been fixed with a different sky box. the side by sides aren't much different in my opinion aside for a way better sky box on AO
I don't think a different skybox would make all the difference if you play kino der toten inside the building which was most of the map dark but the moment you go outside where double tap is first thing you look up is a beautiful bright sky with clouds so what is wrong with Liberty falls having that same atmosphere except you're in the outdoors 90% of the time Plus remember Liberty falls and terminus both had day one outbreak so of course it wasn't going to look super zombified just letting you know
@@mychealmcknight7963 I hear you. Like you said you were only outside of Kino in one location which is why it doesn't change the immersion but with Liberty Balls being outside for most of it, to me a slightly moodier skybox or even just dark clouds like AO would make it feel more somber. It being stormy weather would add to the tone of the map while still having that day 1 outbreak feel from the map itself.
@@theweekndxo7438 Dude, I have really enjoyed this map. I'm just adding discourse to a partial topic to the video, that being atmosphere. As for the name I used it's been a silly meme that will last forever and that's just what me and my friends call it even though we enjoy it a lot lol. the skybox thing would just add a little extra to the atmosphere artificially as compared in the time stamp. He also shows other bright maps and how the lighting can still provide that spooky effect while not being dark, whereas Liberty "Falls" is a little dull in comparison. Still love the map and the contrast between Terminus and always respect when there is clear love from the devs
That’s an interesting perspective. But I’ve always wondered-why do we often have a secondary map in zombie modes instead of focusing on just one, perfectly balanced and complete map that could truly stand on its own? Is this done to cater to the market and appeal to a broader range of players and consumers, or is it simply a creative choice by the developers? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
I appreciate your passion for the mode. Not many people know that. Not really why my classification of it is insane, just trying to communicate effectively to the viewer about the side maps that pair with the main offering on launch. Sometimes I have to forgo certain aspect of information for the sake of brevity and time. Definitely open to discussing those points in other videos though :)
For anyone confused like me, its apparently terminus then liberty falls in terms of story. Otherwise i thought the ending of LF immediately sent us to the prison of terminus if u watched the cutscenes
@High_Bread sorry to make things even more confusing for you. But the maps/stories actually are taking place simultaneously. While our crew is breaking out of Terminus all these shenanigans are happening at liberty Falls. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@ yea i read that somewhere but im a little confused with that considering your weaver, gray, maya and carver in both. Correct ? I read somewhere actually that liberty falls takes place a day after terminus. Which us why blancherd says something regarding a day
So in Terminus, you are playing as the crew (Grey, Weaver, carver, maya), and in LF, it's just a set team of reinforcements from project Janus security. However, we can play as any operator skin we want in LF and can select our main crew to play as if we prefer, but they are not canon to LF.
@ oh okay that makes way more sense now. That little detail changes everything lol. Im like how the hell panos switch forms with the team then boom where at teminus
@High_Bread now that you bring it up. im surprised I haven't seen more comments like this bc i think it defaulted me as Grey on LF on my first play through. That is bound to cause confusion.
I’m so sick of the hate on Liberal Balls. It’s genuinely a beautiful well done map. It serves as the perfect place to grind camos and challenges. I truly don’t understand why people talk so much smack on it
"It serves as the perfect place to grind camos and challenges." personally as a player since waw this means nothing. I never got CODs to play anything but zombies and never cared about anything but the very unique atmospheres and feeling of "these zombies are dangerous". I'm not calling BO6 bad, but clearly Treyarch is choosing to take zombies in an entirely new direction and I am sad about that. It's honestly difficult to pinpoint what exactly I dislike, but with BO6 I feel the game is constantly reminding me "this is an action game!" where previous CODs, even BO4, I'd just get lost in the maps & they'd feel more like horror survival experiences then an action video game.
@@AfterlifeAnalysis hot take but die rise is my favorite map, i understand the hate for it but its probably my most time played map, and its set in day time, bright day time at that and it works very well and looks amazing.
I do wish black ops 6 was slightly different, and had classic systems more similar to bo1-bo6. But I notice that the game is changing - and that basic zombies more similar to bo2 or bo3 wouldn’t work nowadays. Its a shame but I hope some more classic experiences can come
I agree that there are things from the classic system that I love that I wish were here (I am more of a Bo3/Bo4 fan) but our sentiment is largely the same. And it's okay that things are changing. I still think the game is good. That being said, the greatest thing about zombies is that it never dies until we stop playing. Those classic experiences are always going to be there for us unlike MP or BR modes that die when the player base dies along with it. So we can always go back to the time capsule of whichever game we love. But it doesnt take away the bittersweet tinge on the tips of our tongues of what could have been by adding more maps to bo2/3/or even 4. Thanks for the comment - I really appreciate your time!
@ i agree that the older games aren’t gone. But I also wish for new innovation and maps on those systems. I want more. Bo6 is close but I just can’t quite get behind the way it works
12:10 unpopular opinion but if the whole map had the church ambiance and skybox it would go straight from 6/10 to a 7 Also the bosses on the map are really really overused It’s the 5th or 6th roundbased map in a row to have the manglars and I’m excluding gorod mw3 and outbreak 💀 To give it some personality I would have (imo ofc) gave it less reused bosses but added 1 new one special for that map only And made the whole map have the church skybox and atmosphere And just like that it goes from another Cw style map to oh waw this purple dimension looking map is kinda sick
God bless Liberty Falls for being the basic map that allows the BO6 DLC maps to be more complex and less restricted
I like liberty falls for its easy grinding methods. My personal favorite is the rooftop with the wonderfizz

Not to mention just him being sorry for what happened to the town and wanting to find out what caused it, even if it was them
We want more Blanchard fr

Liberty falls got my friends who didn’t play zombies into it and I’m quite happy about that. Treyarch cooked with the launch of Zombies.
I’ve never been into zombies, and liberty falls is the first map that I did the Easter egg for!! So they really did well
Same. All love to my friend but he is not naturally good at games but it’s amazing to not only see him excited about zombies but also seeing him playing by himself trying to get better.
He isn’t a big ee guy but I went through the Liberty Falls ee with him and he enjoyed it.

I agree, bo6 can be a peak zombies if they stay consistent!
I can't fully express how much I'm loving BO6, and just watching the hype of the community return
And people looked at Liberty falls like it was the Antichrist The map that will doom Black ops 6 boy were those people wrong

Afterlife. RUclips groundskeeper. Good guy.
It’s literally a slightly bigger town with a Easter egg
slightly bigger town? i wouldn’t exactly use the word “slightly” when it’s at least 3x the size of town lol
@ I’m so very sorry
Thats the old school zombies. A fun and simple map with lots of replay value.
Because it is boring. It's as simple as that
@@deepfriedbollocks4402 how is it boring exactly

Liberty falls and terminus are the two best launch maps they've ever made. I have played so much liberty falls because it's straight forward and easy to get into. So replayable. Terminus is cool but it's not one I'd play for fun.
Shadows is better but they are on a roll right now
@ shadows of evil is 100% goated and better than terminus agreed.
I think it would have been good to have the map start with the atmosphere of Liberty Falls and then every ten levels or so the tone gets darker, we get the atmosphere pulled down, so that we go from the initial wave of zombies until it’s becoming overrun and the area is falling to the hordes of zombies.
That must’ve been Dennis Riffle. Church groundskeeper, good guy.
The only thing I dislike about the story elements is how obvious its made that we're gonna be betrayed. I do like the mystery of who Panos is talking to, and what the relationship/goals of both Panos and the other entity are, hence the "scores to settle".
Yeah it is pretty obvious, I wasn’t sure if it was delusions. But assuming its main stream gaming that simple approach tends to happen
It's aggravating to hear Blanchard call it out immediately and then we still go along with it.
Isn't it said that when we load into the map that we're here to locate and extract this scientists? Plus With panos's scores to settle (i.e. Richthofen) could we see him teaming up with the current crew

Omnimovement and the speed characters move would break a lot of the older maps. Bo3 maps (including chronicles maps) feel extremly tight compared to liberty falls/terminus

I love liberty falls and terminus. They’re both amazing maps all round and fun to play on
Liberty falls is one of my favorite maps of all time, I just love the maps with daylight. The darkness doesnt really give me immersion anymore with the new engine, it's a zombies game, that alone brings enough grittiness and darkness. I loved fire base z too
I saw a video that someone says that Liberty balls is modern day kino and i can agree even more
The redemption zombies made the s crazy.
We had a blast doing the easter egg, our buddy had a clutch play with Idle eyes that saved us during the final fight and we are excited to complete Terminus sometime soon
We already ran the aster egg once but didn't have time to try the fight
Loving the idea of everyone being okay with having a wide variety of maps
I personally love Liberty Falls. I love the daylight. It actually is extra atmospheric for me, because it's like you can feel the warmth and safety of the sun but then that's shattered when you hear the first zombie making its way too you
You look around and the juxtaposition between the warmth of the sun and the destruction around you is so powerful
You get down off the roof, you head towards the chicken restaurant, and you hear a woman crying inside. You can't see her, you can't find a way to save her, but, you know she's there. Scared and crying.
You get farther into the world and look inside the houses and see that they are ransacked
Eventually you get to the church and open the, almost organic, door and go in and it's suddenly so much darker, it takes a moment to adjust
Then you step back out and it's so much brighter it takes a moment to adjust
But the looming threat of the zombies is never far from your mind as you hear them snarling and scraping their way towards you
In my honest opinion, using gloom and darkness to create atmosphere is often cheap and lazy.
Liberty has been consistently enjoyable despite its setbacks and its criminal how something like The Giant was so barren.

I know it could have issues, but I always hope for a rainy mode
I always find it so weird that some of the player base hated it before it came out and now them same players love it so much now
I appreciate the duality between liberty falls and terminus.
Feel the same way.
Really hope we get a follow up to liberty falls. Continue the story up to the mansion
GREAT video man!
If every season, they changed liberty falls very slightly, breaking some walls around the church for extra openings, the bowling alley messed up. The bank roof has holes in it to drop into the bank.
Grass growing, wildlife ( natural not animals )
We would be stoked.
Now we need the Citadelle de Morts breakdown
Goal is to be done by Monday! But probably will be later next week bc well.. I'm slow as hell lmaoooo
I’m laughing at myself for convincing myself I’m gonna play terminus more than liberty falls, but I actually play liberty falls more lol
Dope ass intro man. Love the editing there.
Oh no... Afterlife... my favorite egg head. Not just book smart, but street smart.
I don't get it
Think it’s a play on Blanchard quote for the groundskeeper but with your name
Itd be cool if after the easter egg or something you could turn the whole map into the deark aether mode.
I think the Saturation and Contrast of the older games engine made the maps feel more “moody” based on that aspect alone. MW3 and BO6 both have that “fuzzy” and monotone color palette so it makes the games seem less lively and atmospheric imo. BO6 seems to just be reusing the assets from MW3 zombies because both games look the exact same
7:24 ah yes, Der Eisendrache, the famous daytime map where you literally blow up the moon during the middle of the night???
@@guesswilsey
I don't really see how there is all this evidence that it takes place at night time.

How is it clearly nighttime? What time does DE take place?
@AfterlifeAnalysis the moon's height.
@@AfterlifeAnalysis why would they be using spot lights in the middle of the day?
@ it does have a clock though it says it’s 9:35

And we failed them..."
Blanchard is a seemingly genuinely good person, he cares about the people and feels both responsible and accepting of being held accountable if him and the people he works with were the problem.
I mean IX from bo4 was a second map for voyage of dispar and it had ester eggs trials and a couple of ester eggs
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
calling five the bonus map was insane when kino der toten was last second and was suppose to be the 4th dlc for WAW and not a map for bo1
7:45 instead of using alpha omega, i think the perfect example to use wouldve been die rise
Die Rise would’ve been a good example as well. I know the sky box is a fan favorite.
12:10 unpopular opinion but if the whole map had the church ambiance and skybox it would go straight from 6/10 to a 7
Also the bosses on the map are really really overused
It’s the 5th or 6th roundbased map in a row to have the manglars and I’m excluding gorod mw3 and outbreak 💀
To give it some personality I would have (imo ofc) gave it less reused bosses but added 1 new one special for that map only
And made the whole map have the church skybox and atmosphere
And just like that it goes from another Cw style map to oh waw this purple dimension looking map is kinda sick
