I have used WD-40 to keep them away and it works. I don't spray it all over my house, but wasps kept building nests on my fence underneath the support beams. I sprayed every junction point and not a single wasp nest in those spots all last year. I'll try the silo for the eaves/roof since that seems like their favorite spot and it's too hard and wasteful to spray the WD-40 all along the entire perimeter of the house
D-Fense Dust is the best! I had a yellow jackets nest inside of a retaining wall that is surrounded by railroad ties, so there was no way to really access them easily. I could see them coming in and out of two different holes, though. So one cool morning, at about 5 am, I went out there in my full bee suit and dusted both holes with the dust. The first day, I still saw a few flying around there, probably confused about what was going on. But by the second day, they were all gone. They try to come back every year, but I'm always ready for them. Btw, no other products I tried prior to this worked!
@@McMcPherson if you have to "ask" you won't get any. I wouldn't ask, especially if they say no on the first attempt. It is mostly for the employee's benefit, can't go handing them around like candy.
I resort to my homemade traps I’m sure you’ve seen on RUclips. The ones you cut a 2 L plastic Coke bottle in half, put water, jam, sugar, and a couple drops of dishwashing liquid. Then you invert the top half of the bottle and tape it together. It’s pretty gross when there are like 70 wasps dead in there but at least it works
I use hummingbird nectar in a wasp trap, the actual wasp bate never worked for me. 🤷🏻♀️ In my experience, it has worked best in late summer through the end of fall, I’ve literally killed 100’s in each trap.
I spray Pine Sol or Lysol either one works and water all over the eaves fascia and soffits with a pump up sprayer. It works as excellent as a deterrent on all sorts of wasps, hornets etc for a couple months. 1/4 cup of Pine Sol to a gallon of water. It also works to get rid of them.
For aphids...,depends on where they are. Check out the label... Measure... Drench... And water.... Or just mix a repellent knock down and bark obsorber and be done with it.
Question.. can I use my car wash sprayer for continuous spray? I have a 2gallon sprayer but it's annoying to have to pressurize? Also the spray will just fall back onto myself as my wasps are already established on my soffit and I'm short? Vs the car spray shoots a good distance
By reading the comments, I see that my problem is much worse than the average person lol. Y’all are worried about a nest starting to form and I’m worried about a barn, old tractor, old car carrying at least 1000 wasps together 😆 where I live, they get in EVERYTHING they can. Tool boxes, under the porch, in the attic, every bucket I have, my grill, etc
@@ilovemelodyjaneyes! I sprayed Bifen 27% and I think it has helped. Time will tell but I can’t deal with these wasps any longer. Was contemplating a beekeeping suit lmao
Its very easy to get rid of wasp, hornest, bee and flies I use grapes by squeeze the grapes and put on the paper plate and leave on your backyard far away from your house they will enjoy the foods and never mess with you
what do i do about ones in the ground? i have a very small garden at my condo that faces a lake but there are hornets everywhere. dozens and dozens of them and they seems to be making ground nest and the hornets are HUGE. i don't think they are cicada killers as the colors don't match. i can't even step outside anymore they have gotten so bad and i don't want to spend the money on pest control as none around here will do just a one time visit without a 1 year contract and i'm not paying that for a tiny garden area. any help would be great! i bought boric acid, will this help with hornets as well?
@@realskata16 pest control, but managed to get the HOA to pay for it as some of the nest were outside my garden boundary so it became their responsibility .

I’m allergic and have them under my front steps and in backyard .. no Epi-pen on me either 😔😔 I’m so scared
became a paramedic (takes a year of school), access to free epi-pens forever.

I think I have a wasps nest in and under the dash of my car. I have been stung 3 times. The heater blower only works sometimes

I have a question about the Dominion 2L, what would be the directions to mix up a gallon or better yet 1/2 gallon?
Dominion 2l should be used as a non-repellant . For wasps I recommend demon max mixed at 1.3 ounces per gallon on conducive areas.
