We were blessed to have a three day excursion in August 2023. It was an one of a kind experience; a true travel oasis in the over touristy Egypt! We also spent 3 days with Waheed in May 2022, and it is my favorite adventure so far. Waheed really tried to make our trip special and pleasant and I am thankful for that. I am thinking of doing some similar (or same) tour when I am back in Egypt one day. Best regards to Waheed!

My wife and I just did the 3 day/2 night desert trip with Waheed and his son. The tour is amazing and Waheed is the perfect guide/host. His passion and knowledge of the area is out of this world and everything is taken care of. I would highly recommend to anyone to go to Egypt and do this tour.
We found Waheed through this youtube channel and we're really grateful to have him as our guide. We went to Egypt for its history but in the end, the desert was unanimously the highlight of the trip for all 3 of us! It is that amazing! And having Waheed made it really fun and enjoyable. He truly cares for its environment. It was unfortunate that we only had enough time for 1 night in the desert only. Had we known how amazing the desert sights and experience would have been, we would have extended for a longer tour to go deeper into the desert!

I did exactly the same tour and saw many problems. The drive and the tour are not safe. It doesn’t worth the risk. Also it’s too far (most of the time in the car) - you spend little time at the beautiful locations as the guide is always rushing.
I am surprised and sorry for the bad experience. For us it was one of the best experience. Always felt safe and the untouched nature was worth the nomadic experience. What did you find unsafe? Cheers Balint
We intentionally never include prices because it’s changing all the time. Especially in Egypt the currency has devalued drastically over the last year (we were there Jan 2022) so prices we paid aren’t relevant anymore
Hey, 5 of us Americans plan to take a tour here in December. But is it true as Americans like you, that's it's not legal unless we get permission from the police or an escort?
Our guide Waheed arranged a taxi and all the documentation to get to the White Desert. It's for all foreign tourists... there are police checkpoints everywhere and your (taxi) driver needs to have you registered in order to pass them. All tour companies know about it so they always have all the papers arranged.

The first night we slept in a seperate tent which Waheed brought. The second night we slept in the same tent (the cooking tent) as it was warmer!
