- Finally drove the new 2022 RS3 8Y - its very good.

No matter how fast you’re going down the motorway, there will always be a transit that will come flying past
Saw this comment before watching the video and I couldn’t stop looking at the van
It's well known that Transits and DPD vans are the FASTEST vehicles on planet Earth. Do 250 mph on the autobahn and I can promise you a DPD van will be up your arse.

The 8Y next to the 8V definitely makes it appear outdated. The both look absolutely beautiful but Audi did an amazing job on this newer generation 💯

The 265s on the front are a game changer. Older MQB track cars get as high as 265s and the turn in is immense, good to see Audi tackling understeer. Drove a Cupra 290 on 265 AR1s and it was mad

After having owned a few high end cars including C63s amg, and test driven many, RS3 2022, ticks most boxes. Beautiful car at a good price. For the People commenting about buying a BMW M3 instead at this price point... Base BMW M3 xdrive is 78, 500 and the base AUDI RS3 is around 55k. These 2 are different cars and can't be compared!

@Adam7890 A45s - just as good as the new RS3 with better interior. But, I prefer the looks and tech in the RS3 ... I have one on order to replace my A45s.
M3 worth the money due to the amount of car. RS3 just an overpriced A3 saloon with a bigger engine

White Van Man is always close by, country lane, or motorway he is always there :-)
I had a white van man 'trying' to keep up with my A45s last winter... I lost sight of it quite quickly... a little time later, I was on my way back down the same road, there it was, in a field😂driver was standing by it on his mobile, didn't look happy when he saw me 😁
So what I have learnt is if you cannot get hold of the new RS3 then a transit van will be just as quick 😉

They've add 10 /15mm along the chassis, or wider at wheels or seen it on another channel,makes it more comfortable to drive,less over/under steer, 👍🤞🏴

For all the money comments and £60k £70k!! These start from about £4K £440 month. That’s 2015 M2 money when I had that. Gotta seek out a decent lease. Cracking car and overall package in Sportback form for me.

Man it aged the outgoing RS3 design immediately but the old one still looks modern

How does it sound from the inside? Are they over amplifying the exhaust system sound via speakers?
Sad that the new 2022 RS3 won't be coming to Canada due to the supply chain issues and semi-conductor shortage 😭😭😭😭 (as per my local audi dealer and also removed from the official audi Canada website)

In Australia seems like they are offering the alcantara flat bottom steering with the RS design package.
Where did you get this info? Apparently there is no flat bottom steering wheel coming to Australia with the new RS3’s

It's so stupid of them not to add the alcantara on the steering wheel. That was one of the little things that seperated itself from the standard A3 & S3 🤦♂️
From an interior perspective Audi RS have progressively been getting lazier over the years. Back in 2006 we had Recaros buckets and a Lamborghini steering wheel in the B7 RS4. Now the interiors practically look the same as an S model just with an ‘RS’ badge stuck on the trim pieces. Oh well atleast they’re working on the engine and chassis!
Their is something called an rs design package that really transforms the interior of the rs3 mostly german spec which comes with alcantara steering wheel red stitching at 12 o clock position seats come with red intern stitching really looks good over the basic interior. colour stitched seat belts and coloured air vents
Saving all that for the facelift
I loathe alcantara and much prefer nappa leather as on my S3. Sadly I'd want the 'red design pack' to match my existing car and I don't think I can get a non-alcantara spec full spec car 😢
You can spec it to have alcantara in the rest of Europe but audi UK decided that we cant spec it

Hi bro.. I have a question about my rs3 sports edition 2020. It came with pirelli pzero tyres on the stagered wheel setup.. I would like your advice on if u think the pirelli is the best tyres to have on the car. I use the car as an everyday and would like to know if u think other make tyres may b a better option considering quality of ride and grip...
Michelin PS4 mate. You'll notice a big difference compared to P Zero, which don't have as much grip and feel so much better... also the mpg is worse with the Pirelli if that matters to you.
@@luciussander8217 they’re both the same in grip& wear, Michelin’s have more road noise ,& Pirelli’s are cheaper.
The old Rs3 interior is better, but exterior wise the new one looks a lot more modern
so theres no such thing is "engine break in" then ? only hundred odd miles on the clock, high rev? launch control? race mode?
should you not go easy with it before it reaches 1000 miles? sorry so many questions....

I don't know. A little 5 popper mounted sideways, running sky-high boost. It seems kind of sketchy to me. I think the M2 Competition is the better option.

I think think the previous gen looks nicer and tbh for 70k it’s crazy money for a rs3 Not convinced on the interior either. You could buy a year old m3 for probably the same money. Controversial grill aside on the m3 it is a lot more for your money.
70k for a hatchback no thanks would rather get a g80 m3 at this point

Yeah rather get a nice E63S for that kinda money. Sounds better, looks better, way faster etc. RS3' are heavily overpriced. Pathetic tbh.
@@i.s.3458 e63s are bit pricey about 90k but it's a v8 and the rs3 is a 5 cylinder for 70k it's a rip off should be selling for 40k max
They are not £70k lmao - they are £60k for a top end Vorsprung with just about everything ticked other than ceramics which is same league as A45s money.
