The Smart Lifter LM Hoist is the Holy Grail of scooter loading. With a max lifting weight of either 40kg or 80kg, this lifter is perfect for smaller, lighter mobility scooters and wheelchairs and can help you get out and about quickly and easily.
The folding arm has a quick release handle to allow it to be folded down when not in use or once the scooter or wheelchair has been lifted into the boot. The folding arm is often used in vehicles with a smaller boot, folding down out of the way to allow the tailgate to shut.

Thanks for your comment. As you may already be aware the Smart Lifter LC hoist could also be an alternative option, but the method of loading into the car is similar for most scooters.

A speed control on the motor would be nice so you could slow it down when lowering it into the car.

Is this lift available in the US? I am 76 and weigh about 98 lbs. Even the lighter lifts I have looked at would be difficult for me to lift the boom onto the pole. This looks to be ideal but I have not been able to find it here in the US. I have a 2011 Prius, will this lift work in it?
