YEs it can be detached (pulled out of the lower part of the tube) but this is not really easy often as the boot lid gets in the way and so its quite awkward to do. we can add a electric connector so it can be totally taken away from the car. This does not come with the hoist as standard.

We would refer to these as a scooter lifting bracket - in this case a relatively simple one but depending on the scooter these can be more or less complex and need to be located at the centre of gravity of the mobility device to ensure it lifts evenly.

In said video I noticed the person moved to an in closed area for elimination of wind/ noise distortion. In addition I found decibel level or degree in clarity of presenters voice as acceptable

This is the Ford Grand C-Max. Unfortunately these are no longer produced by Ford but if you are looking for a second hand vehicle then they are a great option!

Unfortunately this is not suitable for the passenger side in the Prius. The steering wheel obstructs the seat as it swivels, so there is a smaller range of vehicles where this can be fitted to the driver side. If you get in touch with our office team they can advise on some cars that would be suitable or some alternative products that may be of interest such as a Transfer Plate.

You will be best to speak to an adaptations installer regarding this, they will need to know what scooter you are lifting into the car in order to recommend the most suitable hoist. Fitting time for a kitted vehicle is around 1 hour. For vehicles that are not already kitted it is minimum 4 hours.

These hoists have a rope to lift the mobility device which is why they are only rated to 40kg. It is obviously fully tested by the manufacturer to ensure safety.

These can be fitted to many vehicles but we would need to know the exact model and some more details about where it will be fitted to quote. Please get in touch with our office on sales@desgosling.co.uk or through our website and we can provide you with a quote.

If you are able to bring it to our workshop in South Derbyshire, UK then we can program it for you. If you are further from us please get in touch at sales@desgosling.co.uk and we can try to recommend a more local installer who can help.

Thanks for getting in touch, cost will vary from vehicle to vehicle quite significantly as it depends how much of the hand controls need to be removed in order to get to the wiring on that particular vehicle. Cost for the parts is reasonably small but main part of it is labour to remove and reinstall the hand controls. There may also be another product such as some sort of Remote Control Device for secondary functions which makes more sense to retro-fit.
