  • FIRST IMPRESSIONS & LONG RIDE - SCRAMBLER DUCATI 2023 NEXT GEN
    Thank you so much for watching my first ride experience in Valencia on the new 2023 Next Generation Scrambler lineup. As a Ducati rider (and scrambler owner!) myself, it was so cool to compare the new icon motorcycles to my 2017 cafe racer edition of the scrambler lineup. From throttle response to aesthetics, a lot has changed for this bike, but they've stayed true to the modern classic sentiment... and of course that amazing Ducati build quality.

      Really sad they stopped making the same style as yours. The Nightshift is close but doesn't quite capture that cafe racer look to me.
      If you had the option between getting a Nightshift at current price and yours at current price, which would you choose?
      I'm wondering if the enhancements are worth the extra price + updated features.
      Currently on a Royal Enfield Continental GT so both would be an upgrade.

    I hate the weird square / circle dash and how plastic the bike looks. Is the TFT able to show maps at all? I do want the lighter clutch though!
    i have the 2016 ducati scrambler and actually bought a royal enfield gt650 as another additional bike because maintenance costs on it are WAY less haha. i've paid for 2 desmo services on the ducati and its just insane $$$, especially considering the scramblers still use that ancient air cooled engine and have to have it done every 7500miles/12,000km while newer ducatis can go over 15000 miles/24,000km until desmo.
    i still love how little these bikes weigh and how flickable they are. if they manage to stretch out the desmo service intervals then i may consider getting a new one.

    • @motoyoku
      @motoyoku Год назад

      I currently have a GT650, and have been toying with the idea of ditching it for one of these “new” Scramblers. The valve service interval on the GT is required sooner than the Scrambler (6000 vs 7500). Do you mind sharing how much you paid for desmo service and what have you been quoted for on the GT? In talking to my local dealers, the valve service cost appears to be in the same ballpark for both bikes ($500-600). (My first 300 mile service was included with the purchase so I haven’t paid for anything yet.) I figure if I’m going to be paying that much going forward, might as well get an extra 1500 miles and a (subjectively) better riding experience. Maybe the service costs are actually cheaper elsewhere (where you are) and I just live in an area with expensive shop rates.

    Love what they did in upgrades. Looks like a perfect city bike that can also be a weekend country road adventure ride. And of course its ability to do light off roading. I currently own a 2016 Motto Guzzi V7II Stone (that I am trying to sell), a 2015 Harley Super Low 1200T, a 2020 Harley Low RIder S and a KTM 790S (my fav at the moment. IMO a cross between a Sport/Adventure/Touring bike). But yeah as soon as I am able to sell my MG V7II Stone I am getting this new improved Ducati Scrambler Icon ! Great Informative YT Video of Yours ! God Bess

    The new Scram looks like a great ride..do you also ride in an armored moto specific boot? Can't stress enough toe protection via composite / steel toe or external toe cap or Moto specific toe, foot, ankle armor. Great review. I was thinking to myself, 'hm I wonder what CC she is riding' and sure enough two minutes later you gave the engine size and output amidst the overall description of the bike and it's ride characteristics. Comprehensive. Many thanks. : )))

    As far as your comment on living in a really flat state: if the weather ever warms up, and you find yourself on the other side of Wisconsin, the Mississippi and St. Croix river valleys are windy and hilly. I like the ride the area between Hager City, WI/ Red Wing, MN, then up through Prescott/Hastings, and up to Stillwater, MN.

    I Own a Nightshift and a Cafe Racre scram limited, so good is this bike, i look at my Royal Enfield scram 411 (also good for different reasons), my Harley sportster 1200, the CBR650F 4 cylinder, and the two Ducati scramblers, and the Ducatis are the ones that say 'take me out!' Best bike i ever bought. But beware, if you fall off, you may as well buy a new one, as the repairs will be close to the price of a brand new scrambler.. this is why i own two also. TFT dispay is a crap trend because tft diplays are cheap crap and do not last 20 years like an analogue clock, nor even the usual led. Worth chinese pennies. such an 'upgrade' is a cheapass trick. The new nighshift looks crap compaared to the 2021 & 2022 models. as tyo driving modes..that is for millenial beginners just like ABS, which should never be on a scrambler, as you want to do wheelspins with it
