Hey Karol! I subscribed to your channel and your newsletter only a couple months ago, and while I was extremely tempted to grab this deal (I literally had Sweetwater's phone number in my phone, but never hit call), I just didn't need another acoustic beyond the two I already have. Do I still have some FOMO? Sure, and at that price I could have probably resold it and still had some left over to use the profit for strings (if nothing else). Anyway, wanted to say thank you for giving your audience the deals. It's super appreciated. I'd like to make one suggestion while I'm here. Maybe it's my audio setup, but the background music for me can sometimes be distracting or even overwhelm your vocal audio. Could be dialed back a smidge. Thanks brother!
Much appreciated! Yeah I never know exactly how quiet to make that background sound so that is good feedback. I need to make it quieter. Thanks for letting me know!
I got a slightly used Epiphone Hummingbird Studio with a pretty nice hard case for $329 at Guitar Center a couple months ago love it! It’s tone and volume are in the sound hole.
Thanks for the video. Was looking for something cheaper so I don't damage my solid body acoustic in every day use. Not worth £189 by the looks of it - I wouldn't know how to set it up. Can you recommend any electro acoustic in the $200-300 price range. I also have hand problems and would like to find a slim neck. New subscriber. Many thanks.
Thanks for watching! I'll be honest I have not put my hands on enough cheap acoustics to give you a good recommendation. I've found cheap acoustics are generally not as quality as cheap electrics so it's difficult giving a solid recommendation in the under $300 range. Edit: I do plan to review more cheap acoustics though so hopefully eventually I can find something good to recommend. I will say this Epiphone is decent and doesn't have any egregious issues.
@@ArtOfShredYT Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. The guitar I have (Tanglewood TW15-NS), isn't hugely expensive but has sentimental value. I was having a look at the Fender CC-60SCE - it has a solid spruce top and looks quite nice. Anyway, thanks very much for taking the time to reply again. Much appreciated.
Tried one of these at my local dealers... and I was shocked; it was great! Then I tried the J-45 and decided that there was sufficient difference to justify the price difference. Still haven't bought one yet though - I'm finding a slimmer body, with an electric neck is probably the next purchase!
I sold this one, but it was a really nice budget acoustic! The Mitchell acoustic-electric I reviewed on the channel recently is better, though, and it's usually on sale for $220 or less.
I got a AJ-100-CE/N off of Ebay for my bid of $60 - lucky for me nobody else bidded, $10 shipping , I have two now , a 2011 and a 2012 - they really sound great ,mostly because age helps the wood resonate more, but really they both sound great , but different . 2011 has a crisp clear sound , the 2012 is a little more dark , but both have pretty low action at the 12 th.Fret . I sold my beautiful Epiphone EJ-200 CE , which is a high end Epiphone acoustic . NOTE - I did lower the action by sanding the back side of the bone bridge. need a fret leveling now , The pickup is not any good , Mic or sound hole pickup works better.
no controls and no batteries is fine just use your amp settings that what they are there for anyhow so having a preamp is not a break it thing you know and its cheap for 69.00 you likey expect way to much and its a beginner guitar better choice would be a yamaha 325D which is great for beginner to advanced players for around 200.00 cnd no elecrionics but one hell of a guitar tho...
When you checked the neck did you find that it was built like HMS Invincible aircraft carrier ski-jump ramp? I just got one 3 weeks ago. So thoroughly disappointed in Epiphone quality control. I mean it was so obviously bent like the HMS Invincible aircraft carrier ski-jump ramp, no one at quality control saw this. I did, without using a straight edge or vision aids. It was in the case and it was saying like "Try to play me." As a result of the bend, it had very high string height, along with a bunch of high frets which created very ugly tones for the frets before it. There is no quality control at Epiphone. They just ship and individual buyers have go to a luthier to have it repaired. One more item was the tuning pegs. The G peg, you could keep turning it and nothing happens for about 1/4 of rotation and then suddenly over tunes.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry you got a dud. I haven't had issues with Epiphones and I've reviewed a lot of them. But, of course, it's bound to happen that they're not perfect.
I have an epiphone acoustic similar to that called the aj100ce/n. But now I plan to sell it. Really solid guitar. But since then I bought a used simon and patrick acoustic electric for 200 canadian with hard case which I really like. Solid top, great tone, good playability low action. I also like that its made in canada. I think thats pretty cool. I also added a pick guard and bone bridge pins which adds to the style, and the bone bridge pins improve the tone slightly. So yeah, in terms of buying a used guitar I recomend looking for something a bit more high end. Like more in the mid range like simon and patrick, or perhaps a yamaha solid top. If you keep your eye out you can find some really good deals.

Nice to see you back, dude! Those cheap Epi acoustics are awesome, I have the DR-100 and it is great!
Thank you, good to be back! I owned one of those DR100s before as well. Not bad at all 😀🎸
I could listen to you all day
Thank you! You win comment of the day 🤘

Those are sweet! Nice deal!
The action on it was super low with no buzz and the frets are well done no sharp ends.

I don't know

Thanks for sharing! Nice to hear eBay is still a place to find deals

Yeah at that price it's ridiculous. I sold the guitar last week for $150. Still a good deal at that price
I know this is an old video but it sounded decent
Yup, I sold it, but it was a nice acoustic. Incredible for the deal that it was at the time

Down to $100 in bonus bucks. Great find!
Yeah I saw that. Honestly still a pretty decent deal at $160 if you just want a cheap acoustic that can plug in

Thanks for sharing! This Epiphone is actually that same aj100 but they gave it a new name. Not sure why they did that
