That is the way we dressed in the 70's n 80's n 90's. We had managers back then n outstanding leadership. If managers asked us to write 1 mill in life in a month it was done. We could write 150 to 200 apps per month n we were appreciated n we would help other agents. Mr. Ed Rust Sr n Earl Johnson were great leaders. I played many rounds of golf with them. To bad many things changed when they retired
@@MarkFromNJ1 Good call on Bonnie Herman singing the State Farm jingle, which she did for many years. But this is Lesley Miller, who was the original singer from 1971 to 1975. In 1976, the agency work on the account moved from New York City to Chicago, at which time Bonnie Herman began her long run on the famous tagline.
@@DonDonP1 That's right! And Manilow has said on many occasions that he was paid a flat fee of something like $300 for composing this iconic jingle, while Lesley Miller and Bonnie Herman were on their third Rolls-Royce by singing it!
0:24, The Jingle Makes Me Want to Cry
That's the voice of the great Lesley Miller, one of the all-time best commercial session singers.

And that jingle introduced me to the composer behind it: the legendary Barry Manilow.

Cool. I wonder: what was Brent Whitlock holding onto with his hands in this commercial? Necklace? Measuring tape?
That’s how my aunt used to sing back then but the cigarettes are messing up her vocal chords
Wow

He doesn't look like someone from 1975.
Timeless.
Could be 2019,
1960
or 1935
Doesn't matter.
