I love your wispy, flowing gardens. So pretty. The flowers and foliage practically say, “Please touch me.” Glad you placed your little sign, which is also cute. Thanks for the tour.
I Love, Love, Love all the Flowers in your side strip. It is Absolutely Gorgeous. I love a cottage garden. Thank you for taking us along for the walk of your Amazing Flowers. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed day and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. 💚💐🦋
I always look forward to the tour of the Hell Strip garden. Its so stunning every year! Believe me - you've definitely convinced me to grow echinacea. I just hope mine will look as gorgeous as yours do. Thank you for the update tour!
I have the pink echinacea and gotten multiple plants because of self seeding. I've had other types and these are definitely the most hardy. I love them! FYI, they are a favorite of bunnies too, especially the early growth. I use spray to keep them away for the most part, but at other times I've caged the plants until they've grown bigger...bunnies don't like the tougher leaves.
I love all your color choices! the mix is so pleasing and the Lillies go with the same color scheme. I get so many ideas from your gardening style. Thanks so much for sharing.
Every time I see this portion of your garden I think of how lucky your neighbors are to be able to walk through such a beautiful area. One of your tour videos a couple years ago inspired me to buy and plant Bee Balm - I didn't see any in this video and wondered if it's a plant that simply fizzles out after a few years? Thanks for the tour - it's always enjoyed. :)
Beautiful. Your sign is a great idea. I've had issues with people littering, picking flowers and dropping them, most recently my beauty berry bush was pruned down by half in my parking strip. A sign like that is a friendly reminder :)
You have inspired me to convert my hell strip to a garden! It is in its second season and I'm still working on amending the soil, but I hope it looks like yours in a few years. I'm trying to grow dara, zinnias, cosmos, nigella, nicotiana, gomphrenia, and cleome. Thank you for all the inspiration!
Love the color combos and the unique Verbana. I did buy the Veronicastrum this year, after seeing you highlight it last year. Looking forward to getting more height next year. Also now I know why my Cleome seeds have never worked. Will sow this fall. Thanks for tip!
love the tour, everything looks so beautiful. i have picked up and put down the verbena hastata several times at the garden center because i was not sure i had a good location. seeing yours has convinced me i need to find a place!
Lovely hell strip! I love cleome! Thanks so much for the tip on growing them. Since I've been in my new house, I haven't had any success. Now I know why.
Your use of unique natives and other plants is so wonderful! As always your gardens are my favorite! Also, I have really been enjoying your live's on Instagram. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!!
I love your gardens! Thanks so much for the tip on direct sowing Cleome Queen series in the Fall. So many other new plants that I am going to try to grow from seed since they are not available from local nurseries near me. I love the wild garden style! It looks amazing.
Love 💕 the tour, so many beautiful plants, some I have never heard of, got my first Calamintha this year and lovin‘ it,stay cool , greetings from Massachusetts
Absolutely gorgeous 🌺 Thank you for the tip on the Cleome because I started some from seed in the beginning of summer and I didn’t see any results. Enjoyed watching your video 👍🏾
Your gardens are so beautiful love watching your videos, but I can't believe that people think it's ok the help themselves to your plants not nice ,walk by and enjoy the lovely view and smell of of the flowers ..
Happy to hear your tips on seeding Cleome. ☺️ It is interesting that seed purveyors don’t mention the need for stratification on their packets like they do for other plants. Your border is looking gorgeous!
I love your choices and also then way you put things so close together! Can u suggest best plants for zone 5 ,no Indiana.Thank you for your vids, watch then all.
Spectacular. I love wild looks as well. That is amazing for a hell strip area as well. My echinacea keeps getting that disease where they produces multiple little heads within the larger head. It happened several years ago in another area and I pulled them out as that is what I read to do. Now a different area has infected the patch. ☹️ Thank you for sharing your garden and expertise with us.
I love your garden! I’m wondering…when you grow a beautiful cottage type garden like what you have in your hell strip, what does it look like in the winter, etc? Do you have mulch there or a ground cover? Thanks!!!
Hi and looks great, Yuliya! Thanks for update. Sorry about people picking. I had an issue recently. Had a bad storm and bent my Incrediball Limettas. I feel badly for my pretty girls, but they can't seem to overcome that, so next year!
I am growing verbena hastata for first time too! Looks like little jets in vertical formation to me. I bought it in fall, out of bloom. The fall color (red) was beautiful. Veronicastrum is on my to-buy list.
So beautiful! I also planted my first Verbena Hastata this Spring, but mine is much smaller, since it was bought as a plug. Will definitely get more next year!
Aaah. I'm OBSESSED with sidalcea and Russian sage! Hollyhocks are one of my favorite flowers but I can't grow them due to rust. I'm hoping these don't rust too. I want to grow both of these next year. Every time you share a video I'm always saving new flowers to my wishlist
You inspired me to plant my hell strip. I used the no-dig method and planted in May and June, after the city planted two new street trees. I planted mostly blue and pink flowers, including agastache, cleome, stachys ‘Humelo’ and varieties of centaurea.
As always your gardens are gorgeous! I imagine the birds and polinators are delighted with the hell strip. Sorry that people damaged or pulled some of your flowers. I had planted allium bulbs 2 yrs ago, they came up beautifully but this year they didn't I was so puzzled but then I saw a child pull one of the few that came up. I think many were pulled up. So I dug up the bulbs and moved them.
So pretty! Love all of your plant choices. I’m creating a new flower bed in a sunnier spot and I’d like to transplant some nepeta, iris, day lilies and Veronica that are in too much shade to this new bed. Is it ok to do it now (zone 5b) or should I wait?
Yulia I too am in zone 6b. Kindly let me know when and how to direct sow cleome pink queen. You mentioned fall season. Which month? What kind of care do they require post sowing? Your videos have been truly inspirational to me. For the past two years I have successfully accomplished a few No Dig garden beds, thanks to your videos. Your devil strip is awesomely beautiful! Your gardens are amazing. Thank you for your videos!
I really like how tall your veronica are. Mine suffered from the heat so I cut off the withered flowers. With the recent rains the veronica is making a comeback.
Such a beautiful combination, it’s really looking lovely! I appreciate when you mention how many plants are in an area. It helps when to understand their growth pattern. I am looking for something for in front of my knockouts that might help deter the deer. Does the Denim and Lace Russian sage stay a big shorter than the one you have? Air any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
You have so many unique plants here. They look great together. I live in a corner too. May have to do this. Did you do a video on how to get started with this endeavor?
It is so mesmerizing and I love it. Yes flowers have feelings you are right. And I love cleome, I have them in my garden everywhere but they smell like cannabis although I checked if they are from the same species and they are not. Do you get the smell from them ?🤔
How do you get the seeds of self seeding echinaceas ? Your garden is so beautiful!! I have a hard time with cleaome self seeding. I wonder if it because of mulching
Love the wild cottage look! I'm definitely going to get those drum sticks this year. I ordered so many other bulbs last year, couldn'g do it all. I also love the feverfew. Is it best to use seed for them? I haven't ever seen them in garden centers by me. NJ 7a
Rarely fertilize as a lot of the hell strip plants prefer poor soil. But I spot fertilize dahlias and some others with plant tone, dehydrated cow manure and mulch 😊
You seem to start quite bit from seed. I'd love to see a progression of soecific flowers -- as ther germinate, become seedlings, then as they get taller, and finally flower. I've tried seeds in pots but many times other things come up in them, and when they are small I don't know which ones are the desired plant.
This is my kind of garden - wispy, textural, colorful, full, and lush. In defense of your neighbors, it would be hard to walk by and not reach out and touch a few blooms. I just love the mix of plants! May I ask if you know what would cause flowers to flop? I've got a mixed patch of flowers kind of like this with cosmos, delphiniums, black-eyed-Susan, zinnia, borage, flax, bachelor buttons, - you get the picture - and, the stems of all the difference varieties just lay over and flop. The soil is not great but not awful and I water frequently. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks very much for showing us your Hell Strip. It's actually quite heavenly. ~ Lisa
@@greatgardensforall That could be it. They get plenty of very bright indirect light, which I thought would be enough, but only about four hours of afternoon sun. Thanks very much, Yulia. ~ Lisa
I love your wispy, flowing gardens. So pretty. The flowers and foliage practically say, “Please touch me.” Glad you placed your little sign, which is also cute. Thanks for the tour.

Your garden is so beautiful. I like how you intermingle your plants and your use of native plants. So peaceful. Thank you.
I love your sign " Flowers have feelings"

So beautiful and thank you for showing so many natives in action!
Your strip is so vibrant and full of life/pollinators. Love it!
Yulia, everything is looking as lovely as ever. Please keep the updates coming. I love your style.

That pop of yellow brightens up your border. Very pretty!
Beautiful. I love the addition of the black eyed susan in there. I love the yellow amongst all the pinks and purples.
Beautiful. Your sign is a great idea. I've had issues with people littering, picking flowers and dropping them, most recently my beauty berry bush was pruned down by half in my parking strip. A sign like that is a friendly reminder :)
Beautiful strip, what a treat for the passers by. 💕💕💕
Just beautiful Yulia. I look forward to seeing this area of your garden every summer. Never disappoints. So full and lush. Great job as always.
I could watch your garden for hours. So beautiful-thank you for sharing it with us.
Glad you enjoyed it

Amazing colors and textures. Thank you for sharing. You have given me several ideas for next year :)

Some white color needed, though.

I always learn something new from your garden tours. Today, I found out it was Veronicastrum growing wild behind my house.
It could be black cohosh.
@@freyartz No, it has the exact same leaf structure and blooms, but lavender. I’ve been trying to name it for a month.

Very easy from seed, yes
Love it!
Love it but I'm a bit curious as to where the name "hell strip" originates from. It's gorgeous
What do you fertilizer with? That hell strap is so lush and vibrant. 🤩
Rarely fertilize as a lot of the hell strip plants prefer poor soil. But I spot fertilize dahlias and some others with plant tone, dehydrated cow manure and mulch 😊

Yeah, I have the same issue when planting from seeds. I planted some poppies, they were taken over by weeds in my container.
I have been very successful wintersowing things. Once the plants are established in the garden many start to self sow
This is my kind of garden - wispy, textural, colorful, full, and lush. In defense of your neighbors, it would be hard to walk by and not reach out and touch a few blooms. I just love the mix of plants!
