    It’s also ALWAYS BEST TO USE HONDA TRANS FLUID on all Honda products

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  4 года назад +2

      Ed Zealor same with Ford On ford products. Same with every other manufacturer. It’s not worth it here since the car is barely driven and I don’t think he’s even keeping it. As long as you have the same spec numbers on the back of the bottles that match the OEM fluids you’re fine. In this case they did so why spend the extra $5 or so per bottle. Personally if it were my vehicle yes I’d do oem only but that’s me.

    Good video bro this help me a lot frfr I got a 06 same procedure but please use OEM Honda DW1 Transmission Fluid . No aftermarket you gonna ruin it . I don’t care if it says it supports hondas / Acura models . They just don’t have the right additives for the clutch packs . But good job either way on the radiator

    What is that radiator looking screen in front of the main radiator ? That front mesh looked pretty bad on my car but doesn’t over heat so I though I need a new rad soon. But maybe if that’s just a protective screen, if some of the fins are crushed on that or deteriorating ,not a big deal?

    Yo i did all this and run the stat but the upper hose didn't fill with coolant but the car isn't overheating so not sure what the next step there is. The upper hose of the radiator is just empty

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  3 года назад

      The upper hose will only have coolant in there if the thermostat opened up. If it doesn’t open up after the car is warmed up to 160-190 degrees then there’s a blockage elsewhere. But most commonly the thermostat did open. Crank your heat on full blast and let the car idle for about 15 mins or so and it should have coolant flowing through that upper hose, If not you got an issue
