I was just permanently banned. Overwatch has been my main game for 8 years and now it’s all over. I appealed every suspension I got, but was never told once what I said that violated code of conduct. Sad days. Money and years of progress down the drain.
My acc got banned in season 3 and never got it back again.
All exlusive owl skins and ow1 skins just gone,poof, sayonara.
I deleted the game after that and moved on, because blizzard is by far the worst game company ever.

It’s something doable in game and if they didn’t want people doing it they should fix it or remove them if it’s too much
Otherwise you can say that for everything that’s a big in the game which like half of the heroes in the roster have which are explained as “techs”

I literally report EVERY player I play with. I get 5-6 notifications of bans a day. With enough innocent bystanders in the crossfire hopefully Blizzturd will get their act together.

Anyone use Miiverse? The Miiverse admins were this strict as well, though I’d argue this was slightly worse.
My friend has been playing blizzard games for 8+ years and Overwatch for over a year and just got his name changed and 2 appeals rejected because his name was “BootyHunter” even though his first name is Hunter and he’s a HUUUGEEE pirate fan. People would compliment it all the time but he’s a pretty low ELO player so my guess is people reported him when he played bad. Blizz rejected 2 appeals even though his name didn’t technically violate any of the rules. Blizz seriously needs to call down with how people get banned/reported because it seems mass reporting can take anyone down these days regardless of validity. Anyways, my friends and I, and my other are fed up. DO BETTER BLIZZARD.

Its because chat bans are automated, a lot of times feeders / cheaters / noobs get banned for abusive chat because they get reported for everything

All it takes is (as u said) 1 report in around 10 games, even if the limit was 20 that's 1 person in 20 games. in comparison to 120 games, you don't need to be a troll to get banned considering how many toxic ppl in this game will report u because they want to blame someone else for a defeat.

Yeah that's why i don't coerce with anybody besides friends in this game, especially no comms. The community is fucking cringe anyway. I just enjoy my time as much as i can with the game as is, I even just straight up have the chat permanently closed 😂 i don't talk to anyone and i don't chat with anyone. My account is easily worth thousands of dollars (been playing since day 1), I'm not gonna risk all that investment over something as small and trivial as writing "gg" in chat.

I don't know why people still play this game. It's like throwing rocks at the sun. Most of your damage is either immediately healed or blocked by tanks. After soul crushing poking each other a team fight finally breaks and then either you get some kills or your team gets wiped. The majority of your time is spent shooting things that won't die. That's why this game is not fun. It's not fun to shoot at things that can't die. And most of the characters require no mechanical skill. Valorant is better
