Qualitative Descriptive Doctoral Studies can be either theory-driven or theory-guided. Theory-driven normally uses deductive analysis, and theory-guided normally uses inductive reasoning in the data analysis. This video will not only explain theory-driven versus theory-guided studies but also distinguish between deductive and inductive reasoning.
