These Kook-boxes are invading this precious spot, over the last few years people have been bringing there stand-ups and kayaks, thinking they can just park there big ass cars and take all the scarce parking.......I feel sorry for the few left that have been surfing here the last 50 years.
What's up with everyone burning each other at this spot? Around the 7- 7:30 minute mark is the stuff that kills me! If you know this spot and you surf here listen.. If you are a local or not its not cool to shoulder hop and drop in on a set wave that someone took the peak on. LOOK down the line before you foamball one of the few barrels that comes through these points. F-n LOOK.
Glad you noticed. Yes, there were a couple of people who were uncool. I included them mid-video hoping those guys would watch this and see themselves being dolts and realize the error of their ways.
GrokSurf Yes, if you are not the deepest on the peak or furthest outside, paddle over and wait your turn with few exceptions. Guys that are locals complain when there are all these "kooks" they yell and then they sit on the shoulder like pussies and burn people. I think localism is a good thing but a local should know when a good smack to the back of the head is in order not just a bunch of jaw flapping killing the vibe. Give respect to get it, and if you want other people to have etiquette then enforce it and show some of your own.
Really doesn't look as bad as the comments make it sound to me. I won't drop in on anyone and it is frustrating to get dropped in on... Probably simply a case of too many surfers
January 25 - Saturday. The surf along the Cliffs got better in the afternoon and still ranks as one of my all time fun days at the Cliffs. Six waves each double or triple overhead on a short session. I know many regulars who surfed all afternoon that day at a different spot. We all had a satisfied feeling lasted for several days... Great Stoke!

That week was such a good solid swell! Man I am glad no one was burning anyone at my spot.
