- As a proud and esteemed member of the exclusive club known as the International League of Lefties, or "International League of Lefties" for short, I break the rules and subject myself to being permanently banned from the league and imprisoned for life by writing a letter to YOU using my right hand, or my non-dominant hand, also known as the hand whose only purpose in life is to open doors, hold the fork while cutting food, using the right side of a video game controller and keyboard, and basically be a subordinate to my left hand. I don't even use the mouse in my right hand anymore. Sad.

I'm right handed and I'm very appreciative for your letter. We at the international ranks of righties understand that using your non domain hand is a struggle. So we at R.O.R will do the same and will write a letter with are left hand. Good day and remember, both hand are needed and should be appreciated.

And very nice handwriting! 💪😍I remember wanting so bad to be left-handed as a kid, I used to write entire pages with my left hand... well, now I'm not left-handed, but I hate the term "right hand" as if the other one was wrong. As a right-handed person it's interesting to see how you write certain letters this way. Like your "O's" and "d's". Looks almost backwards. Pretty cool!

Uncle E, I've been watching you for years now, I've always found your content the most soothing, I've recently been going through a rough patch in my life and seeing this new goofy video sure did make my night. The opening words you've adopted to tour videos have never hit me as hard as when you wrote them either your non dominant hand and said them. Idk what clicked but it was so genuine and it made me smile. Thank you for your incredible work as always.
I love this video so much 🤩 I too am a proud member of the International League of Lefties. And I also use the mouse with my left hand. It really freaks out the IT people at work when they need to remotely connect to my laptop to help me and the mouse clicks are the wrong way round 😂
Interesting. I'm a lefty too, and use the mouse on the left of the keyboard, but I have never bothered swapping the buttons. Been doing it that way since the early 80's and it's never bothered me ( nor the IT folk, since that's me anyway).
Such FOUL sorcery that this man here uses.

Everytime I meet another lefty they're so creative and unique much like ER himself. I've never really met a lefty who isn't distinctive in his/her own right.

As a fellow lefty, I’m impressed at how well you’re writing with your right hand! Seriously, it takes some talent to write that well. It doesn’t help that I hold my pencil in a weird upside down claw grip like I’m eating a taco or something. Dunno how to do that with my right hand and make it feel right.

Lol I'm right handed and never realized how much I do left handed. Apparently I shoot pool lefty, try to learn guitar lefty, open jars lefty, drive with my left hand, carry things with the left hand...people say that's weird haha

Wow the alright/all right bit absolutely did it for me, love it 🥰😅 for those who don’t know, alright has become accepted in English but is technically never correct. Unlike other examples like altogether/all together which have different meanings, alright has no unique meaning and is just a misspelling of all right.

The question was bothering me and so I used AI to answer the question for me 😅 That "All right" is the older and more traditional spelling, while "alright" is a more recent and informal spelling.

I’m a left handed person, I had broke my wrist a had to learn how to write with my right, so I know how you probably felt to get your hand writing that good. Hell my writing with my left is barely legible anyway
As a left handed person who makes hand contact with the paper I'm writing on, I loathe my style because of constant smudging. I wish I had that dual hand dexterity...

Dearest Uncle Rift, I saw a video recently of a Tao Buddhist doing some zen gardening/incense burning and the setup they were using had incredibly fine sand that made beautiful noises when swirled and raked and compacted with little metal tampers, like stepping on snow! They were using incense molds that require some tapping, light scraping and compacting that would probably add to the audible experience too. I know you have a lot of props already but I saw that and thought of your zen disposition and propensity for new sounds.

its like watching myself in future... I'm also lefty and my handwriting looks very similar to yours, both left and right.
i was born left-handed, but in first grade i had this old witch of a teacher that said it was wrong to write with your left. so she'd force me to write with my right hand, slapping my hand with a ruler if i tried using my left. so now i cant write with my left at all and writing with my right looks about as good as in this video. but i guess it still rewired my brain because, despite still doing everything else lefty/goofie, i dont feel like a left-handed person.

My cousin is left handed, it was always sorta interesting (in a funny way) watching him try to use his right hand. I noticed he kept coming at it high, the way he wants to write with his left, instead of low, the way you're taught right-handed.

As a righty, you did a lot better writing with your right hand than I do with my left hand.
I am a leftie myself and in 1st grade my teacher had a problem with it, so she forced me to write with the right hand, to her it was literally the "right" hand, especially that I was the only leftie in class.
Now I'm a high school student and I do everything with my left hand except for writing. And my handwriting is crappy to this day. I remember trying to switch back to left hand writing, but to no avail.
As a fellow right handed i find that better than my writing my handwriting is terrible even with my dominant hand

I'm left handed well I'm actually cross handed but I write with my left and Iam not creative the opposite actually I'm good at researching/analyzing stuff like that.

At least your right handed writing is legible. Mine is just chicken scratchings. I thank my mum for telling the headmaster of my first childhood school, way back in the early 60's, that his teachers WILL NOT force her son to use his right hand! I love my mum.

I do and I know there are others. I got fascinated with writing that way and gradually learned. Now, I pretty much use either or, instinctively and equally, give or take.
