Coach I am a big fan of you and you really helped me improve my game significantly. Can you please make a shooting guard workout video please? Big love and respect for you 🙏❤️
I honestly feel like positions shouldn’t really come into play until high school. I play on a high level class of 2026 team, and we play position less 4 out 1in motion.
Facts, at that age you really don’t have 7 footers or guys that are true centers. For me I’ve always been explosive and fast but was taller then everyone else when I was younger so I sat in the paint. However now in high school I’m 6’0, I worked my jumper to compensate for the loss of my height advantage and I play SG now.
@@neveahphillips5610 Well as far as you saying there are no 7 footers below high school ain't true. I saw a video of a kid who was 7'6 in middle school.
Thanks so much, I'm new to basketball, but want to try out for the 8th grade team. I've been practicing, getting so much better, and I'm almost ready for tryouts. I worry about my height (I'm short) and if I'd make the team. I'll give it my all and thanks for the video, because the last thing that I need to fully understand is what the power forward and center do.
Same thing in trying to learn since we're on Christmas break I'm able to get the physical whenever but I want to get it already and I missed half practice so that's kinda a job for RUclips now
I’m 5’3” and I’m trying out for the JV team next near when I’ll be a freshman. I’m not great at ball handling and I’m somewhat okay at shooting but I’m good at playing defense on multiple people, switching zones fast, and and sometimes doing turnovers, do you guys think I’ll be a small forward, point guard, or what else?
I want to play the sg/SF position in basketball but the coach puts me in a pf or a center position I’m 5’10 and I weigh about 184 pounds. Can I play the positions I want if I lose weight, get rid of fat, and get really skinny? I’m a freshman should I lose weight and fat to play sg/sf my sophomore year? any advice? Plus I'm not fat.
Typically if your a new player that's a bad shot. But I do recommend getting your feet set and taking regular jumpshots. Accurately shooting off the dribble pull up shots, fadeaways or spin move just comes to you with time and experience
Hi, i just recently got into basketball always wanted to play can anyone tell me what is the best position for me to play I’m 6’3 bit short compared to other players ,20 years old not that athletic, what should i work on to be better at basketball, thanks in advance.
Yea pg or shooting guard, I think point guard bequase ball handeling is a little bit more easy than shooting. But work on shooting- bal handeling - defense - finishing - passing and reading the defense and staking close outs.
@@shruti-b-b you could go for sf or sg still, it can also depend on your playstyle not just your skills so u can choose your role u think u prefer and match to
For me I don’t know what position to play I’m 5’3-5’4 and that’s small for my age and I play like I’m a big man and I get rebounds a lot and I can kinda shoot what position do you think I should play
SF will be the best position for you. You're probably among the taller ones on the court generally but I think there's enough taller players in higher levels of indian basketball. Also try to gain more weight, 75kg is a bit less for your size.
If ur playing with clampers and tight d you can’t keep stability, you just have to work your layups until you can make them off balance. However tighter defense is also easier to blow by, so if your quick it’s preferable to get past and not have to worry about contested layups.

How tall are you?
Thank you

Centre, shooting guard or point guard
Depends on your ball handling, shooting and vision. But if you are that tall most times coaches at that level will just stick you at the 5.

Work on ball handling, midrange shooting and long range shooting and perimeter and post defense.
I’m like 5’9. I would definitely be a point guard.
