Hope you guys enjoy the reaction! Thank you for the advice on the previous videos, things will only get better as I improve my equipment and my set up:) HUGE THANK YOU TO OVER 600 SUBS IN 3 DAYS! What should we react to next?!?
You really should see him with sam thompkins. They got a bunch, a bunch of busking, 1 is blind Eyed feat angry car attendant thats hilarious and a live one from a pub. I know you saw one with BP but they are so good together! And dont forget the band hes in. The Big Push, a must if you havent yet. Oh shit, a cpl of busking with a girl named Liv Sangree if I remember right 🤔hmm . Why dont i just say watch everything🤦sry😂
Now you've done this, if you only ever listen to one suggestion from me, please do Money Game Pt 2 & Crucify your Culture as a long episode, who is in the mask is answered in Crucify your Culture.
I love a reactor that actually dissects the lyrics and cinematography and does more than just bob their head to a good beat. I’m here for your in-depth reactions and insight. Fantastic job Ian! I know your channel is going to blow up.
That was such a good reaction. I’ve seen so many Reactors not have a clue what they were watching. I think you may have pipped Knox with this one. It’s a one-take video. The guy in the mask playing Guitar is Romain Axisa. REN’s band mate from ‘The big push’ and his housemate for six years prior to moving to Canada. Romain is a beautiful human. Money Game Pt 2 is even better. 🐇🕳️🖤
I'm so glad that BP decided to corrupt you and make a new Ren fan! In addition to this production, Money Game 2 and Crucify Your Culture also deal with the topic of greed and the need for social change. It seems like some people like to call it political, but to me it's more of a call for social change and plea to the listeners to examine how their own actions effect or are effected by greed and materialism. Here's my interpretation of the end.... The irony of this video is that Ren gives Sackman the eyes to see the corruption and to guard against burning by bringing the guitar (music) up between them. This action by sackman then allows Ren to realize the hypocrisy of his own actions. It is at this point that Ren decides to burn himself instead. Fantastic reaction! Thanks Ian!
This is my FAVORITE reaction to this song ive seen and ive seen a ridiculous amount of reactions 😅 I love how in depth you are with analysing the lyrics and video. The rain/reign thing from the chorus ive never heard anyone make that connection and i never thought of that before today! Thank you for that! I cant wait for you to do part 2, youre gonna love it!
Fun Fact... in Jennys tale, if you look closely, you see the dent he made on his poor guitar when Ren accidentally stomps back on his guitar on the floor behind him, after giving bag man his eyes. Ren was a lil gutted by it, but we wouldn't of known unless he had told us... a true professional 👏
Dude!!!! You are killin it. Seen you on the BP Ren reactions and I'm stoked that you are going down the Ren hole. You're analysis of Ren's music is on point. So happy your reactions are from the perspective of a telented musician too. I'm diggin it bro!!!! Keep diving. 👌🙏
Over in the Uk we have a Prime Minister , Ren talks about this in Money Game 2 . Your break down of this song you caught on pretty early into the song what it was about . We claim in todays society that we have made it better than it was years ago but really in fact we haven't , the same things still exist .
The prisoner/guitarist is Romain Axisa, and yes, he really is incredibly talented. :) You saw him playing a magnificent guitar solo in I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop.
I should have checked, and should not be surprised to see that a bunch of other people already mentioned this. 😅 In any case, yeah, Romain is awesome, and he has a bunch of his own music, on his own channel, too. Really worthwhile.
Guitar player is Romain Axias. A member of The Big Push, the band Ren was in. He was Ren’s roommate too. He is awesome on the guitar. Anyone Ren performs with is great at whatever they do too!
You’re a fantastic reactor!! Saw your reaction with BP and was hoping you’d be back. This is even better 😊 your way of deconstructing and analyzing is spot on. Subbed and looking forward to what’s to come. Thank you!!
Enjoying your intelligent reactions 😊 You have to do Money Game part 2 now !! Crutch is an amazing song to react to and not many people have done that one. Also, The Big Push originals - Oh my woman, Precious, Sweet Little Lady to name a few.
Hey Ian 👋 🇦🇺 Straight up - You're the best reactor of Money Game 👌 I've watched a few 😆 The way you break down the lyrics and find the underlying meaning is music to my ears. But Ian - Mate! it's the way you pre-empt where he's going next that really impresses me. I noticed this with Genesis too. You mentioned the correlation with Noah and the arc, and his very next line was "Noah was late for the arc" but you were talking and you missed it - every time😅 This is why it's good to rewind a bit, but you've got that now 😉 Your insight into the human condition & the current Status Quo of society is a definite plus. I see your empathy and it takes the reaction to a deeper level of emotional vulnerability which is Ren's M.O. This ever growing community of RENegades, both Reactors and Subscribers are opening up and having those difficult conversations about their own mental health😪 💔 ❤️🩹 The support is heart felt and genuine. 💓 Love the full screen 👍🏻 Love what you're doing and how you're doing it. BP had better watch out 😘 A suggestion if I may - Play the song through from start to finish after your reaction so that you can experience it as it flows, and we can enjoy your excited gestures & facial expressions along the way 😃 It's a Win - Win for everyone. Much Love ❤
One of the best, in depth reactions to Money Game I’ve seen. Money Game is definitely a track that makes you think and opens up some difficult discussions. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Money Game pt 2 and you should definitely cover Crucify Your Culture.
Fantastic reaction, Ian. For me it is one of the videos the hardest to understand/watch and Ren being kind of "violent" turned me away on first listen and it is still not one of my favorites, but a masterpiece for sure. I think your interpretation of it is spot on. Part 2, for me, is clearer in the message and more "in your face." you will love it. Next reaction? You can do anything😂😂 you will never be disappointed. I promise. And as we Renegades love the circle of talented people around him too, we have Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins, the Big Push, the solo works of Romain and Gorran etc, etc. Etc. A lot to discover. And I know you will have fun on the journey and we are here for it. Love from Germany♥️♥️
Ren's outfit (in my opinion) is to put the thought in your head he's going to severely beat the guitarist, to stop blood getting on him. Good way to get around forensics
This is what I came here to say - the whole outfit is for easy cleanup to confound criminal investigation, after he's tortured and executed the prisoner. Gruesome.
Excellent reaction, insights and interpretation. I really appreciate that you have the lyrics on hand, which allows you picked up on a lot of the details that are often missed on a first listen. Don't forget to do Money Games Pt2, which is also brilliant and which digs deeper into the economic system behind it all. Explained in a very clever way.
since people are leaving you tips, and you might already know this but ignore the comments complaining about you pausing the song if they ever come lmao we here for your breakdown and people can watch the song in full on their own time.
I could be off base. But I think the intent, is that Ren is trying to get this person to understand that the money game is destructive. He was gonna hang him, but the person is blind to it, so he puts the rope away. He's feigns that he's gonna shoot him, and the guy can't see the finger gun in his face. He's gonna beat him with the bat, and since he can't see it coming he makes noise with it, but still when he raises the bat, there's no reaction. It's not until he draws eyes on the person that they make an action to stop him... So many layers to this guy.
Really appreciate your analysis and how quickly you picked up on so much. This video would be great fodder for discussion in an upper level civics class.
Thanks for another in-depth reaction Ian. I truly enjoy watching these with you, and getting your perspectives. Hope you keep having fun, and keep letting us join you! See you on the next one.
WWII: England declared war on Germany because Germany invaded Poland and England had made some sort of guarantee to Poland that they wouldn't allow Poland's borders to be challenged. All of Europe was already worried about Germany from the moment Hitler and Mussolini declared in the mid-1930s that the rest of Europe would rotate on the axis of the German-Italian alliance, Hitler openly espousing expansionist policies (talking about how Germany would regain its former Holy Roman Empire glory and shed the national shame of having been obliterated in WWI and having economic sanctions imposed to try to keep it from becoming powerful to threaten Europe with war again).
As a bit of background to the FoS part, in the UK "freedom of speech" means that we are free to criticise the government without fear of prosecution as would have happened in ye olde times. Due to films/tv a lot of angry folk get it mixed up with the US version which gives carte blanche. But we have laws against 'hate speech' that protect minorities against discrimination (in theory, though they are often hard to implement, and it's most relevant to the workplace). So many of us (especially someone like Ren living in Brighton which is the most eclectic and liberal county in England) find it very strange that some Americans fight harder to retain their right to be hateful than they do trying to be nice. I know that doesn't apply to most Americans! Just the ones who use the argument Ren mentions in this song. It had to be directed at "Mr President" because - whilst things here are getting much more inflammatory and unkind in the language used by politicians - that particular issue is handled very differently. I think it was important that he brought it back around to include all of us when he moved on to immigration though, as that is a much more universal issue. I think it's such an important message. We're all part of the money game, but I think that means we could still change things for the better if we all work together.
Another great and thoughtul analysis Ian. I love that Ren isn't afraid to play the part of the corruptor, it says a lot about his lack of vanity. The problem with the money game is that it's endemic in the rich and powerful, it's what they were born to. Those born into poverty see wealth as freedom. And of course there is some legitmacy to that. So the rich play the money game because it's their game and the poor play the money game because they think it will give them freedom. But the game always wins.
Here from BP reaction you did and glad you started a reaction channel! Know Hill was the only channel, that I watch/know of, who really deep dives into everything in a song and music video so I'm happy to see you really highlighting everything you find and notice. Keep it up, I can see your channel(s) blowing up!
Brilliant reaction, this one is little harder to grasp, it's really deep. Looking forward to part two, that one is a lot more on the nose and equally amazing
I don’t know how I missed your reaction to this one, but the comments are 💯 correct. This was one of the best analyses of Money Game I’ve seen. Love your channel!
I think this is my fifth or sixth reaction of yours yoday and I am psyched. I love that we can board this journey of yours. Edit: love your mug 🤩 and the UK has a prime minister. The royal family has to stay neutral when it comes yo politics unfortunately
I’ve seen so many reactions to this video, and not one reference to Batman, in the bat scene. REN’s little side to side dance completely reminds me of the early Batman, Adam West, movie. An interesting nugget.
Thanks for awsome reactions! Imo ure allready in the top of the reactors and dont apologize for pausing as you did in the other reaction since you allways comes with valid points that other reactors and myself have missed. And ive seen alot of renreactions. 47 years old and atleast 25 of them i lived in hell so im just stuck on his music right now. But i must add that since 6 years back and a hell of a psychiatrist every day i wake up without anxiety and depression is a regular wonder. Keep up the good work!!
Criss Cross Applesauce 😄 I really enjoy your reactions. So much fun to watch other people going down the rabbit hole an being mind blown. Keep up the great work :) Love from Germany
I am fascinated by the reactions to this video. I think many people see Ren as representing the “villian” of the story. greed, politicians etc. Totally fair and possibly correct. However, I see him representing me and you. The individual. It’s hard to accept because he’s so violent and intimidating here. But I think his point is that we often approach these conversations violently, without looking at ourselves and our personal responsibility. We place the blame without pointing the mirror at ourselves. Something I’ve heard Ren say many times is that he wants to encourage dialogue. That’s why at the end he finally turns the mirror on himself and sees his own responsibility in it all. Loved your breakdown.
Another great analysis, i love reactors who have both historical & social knowledge and insight with which to embellish the listener with a richer understanding or perspective. Looking forward to Money Game Part 2! I agree with others who've commented about playing it through first just so you get to enjoy( and rreact) to the overall vibe & impact as we get to enjoy on our first listen (we then relive our first impact through the reactor), and then to back for a more indepth breakdown which youre so adept at
Most of civilization was created that way, even the native Americans fought with one another, stole each others horses, sometimes children…etc etc. the human animal is just superior in cleverness and opposable thumbs
WWI I'd say the Germans took advantage of the Austrio-Hungary situation to throw some weight around... So didn't cause it but not innocent either. WWII they kept invading their neighbours. England kept stepping in to threaten them 'be a good boy or we smack you on the nose!" And Hitler kept pushing. Eventually Britain had to back up there threat (they didn't the first 2 times!) this starting WWII. I do blame Germany for that one xD (the govt at the time obviously, not all the people).
I think Ren doesn´t make much difference between the different presidents through the times…and England has a prime minister. And since yesterday or the day before a king 🤭. Lene61/🇩🇰
Ohoh, love your reactions and your skill for clear analysis, but of course the Germans started World War II. There's no such discussion like for WWI. And I am German, trust me 🙂
As humorously told in the episode "The Germans" in the TV show Fawlty Towers (ruclips.net/video/Tms0yk9kqVM/видео.html), World War 2 started because Germany invaded Poland. (Great Britain and France declared war against Germany two days after this because they had earlier that year made a treaty with Poland to protect its integrity)
On the contrary! Bag Man is "Blind Eyed" (Easter Egg here) 👀 Ren gives him eyes so he can see what's going on around him. Become enlightened to the oppressive society he's subjected to.
Hope you guys enjoy the reaction! Thank you for the advice on the previous videos, things will only get better as I improve my equipment and my set up:) HUGE THANK YOU TO OVER 600 SUBS IN 3 DAYS! What should we react to next?!?

Stevie Knight would take offense to that lol
I like him though but he mostly does that.

Self-immolation or autocremation as a form of political or religious protest has a long history.

Hey yes we don't have a president in the UK we have a prime minister, Keep up the good work Ian, love from the UK 🇬🇧
Really hope you’ll do Money Game part 2 to follow this up… he’ll break it down for you line by line.
I’d love to see you check out Chinchilla -Fingers (live) or Little Girl Gone. She does amazing duets with Ren as well. Chalk Outlines is amazing.
Black Pegasus!!!!! Yo!! Hes the man!!! Im so thrilled to have found you there!! Whooo!!
You HAVE to do Money Game part 2!!!

Another one-shot video, played and recorded live, you can hear all the background noise. Romain Axisa (The Big Push) playing the guitar.
You gotta follow up with "Money Game 2" dude
Love these. Money Game part 2 and Crucify Your Culture and Dear God are all awesome as well.
You liked part 1 you will looove part 2. Thanks for the full screen!
The man behind the mask, Sackman, is his friend Romain Axisa, who was a part of the band he did the busking with… The Big Push. Hugs Lene61/🇩🇰
Thanks for another in-depth reaction Ian. I truly enjoy watching these with you, and getting your perspectives. Hope you keep having fun, and keep letting us join you! See you on the next one.
Ren x Sam Tompkins "What Went Wrong" (pt.1 & 2) might be something you'll really dig.
Ok, gotta admit I now have a new favourite reactor for REN’s work 🇬🇧🔥 👍
Excellent analysis
Yeeessss this is one of my faves!
Soooo good! You are kicking ass. Keep it up!

I think it's such an important message. We're all part of the money game, but I think that means we could still change things for the better if we all work together.
Awesome Insight!!! Thank you for sharing!!
It's freedom of expression hear in the UK not freedom of speech.
Great reaction!
Thank you!
Another great and thoughtul analysis Ian. I love that Ren isn't afraid to play the part of the corruptor, it says a lot about his lack of vanity. I think this is my fifth or sixth reaction of yours yoday and I am psyched. I love that we can board this journey of yours.
Edit: love your mug 🤩 and the UK has a prime minister. The royal family has to stay neutral when it comes yo politics unfortunately
you're spot on with the far left & far right being the ones being heard, the smallest groups on the internet tend to be the loudest.
Absolutely 💯
I’ve seen so many reactions to this video, and not one reference to Batman, in the bat scene. REN’s little side to side dance completely reminds me of the early Batman, Adam West, movie. An interesting nugget.
Again, love that you're sharing your insight. Ren's an inspiration.
Yesss! Money Game is amazing :) :D
I loved how you started your video saying that tons more people have liked your videos! Cause awesomeness exists
Your interpretations are without a doubt different than anyone else. I’m digging’ your channel; keep blowing it!
Criss Cross Applesauce 😄 I really enjoy your reactions. So much fun to watch other people going down the rabbit hole an being mind blown. Keep up the great work :) Love from Germany
Great reaction mate
The guitar player was his good friend, Romain Axisa, one of the members of his band The Big Push.
Great reaction
Keep it up! Enjoying your reactions.

Preach brotha ❤❤
Super reaction. Great breakdown! I love this song/video. Ren is so creative and spot on. You got a sub from me
Absolutely spot on I reckon 👏
Your breakdowns are awesome! Keep up the good work!
Loving your reactions!! You are very smart with your analysis ❤
you're correct my dude our President is called a Prime Minister
I’m really enjoying your breakdowns, doing great! 🖤
Knew you'd love these two songs because of the symbology. 😂
You are doing great for just starting. This was great to watch.
Top quality reaction!
Another great analysis, i love reactors who have both historical & social knowledge and insight with which to embellish the listener with a richer understanding or perspective. Looking forward to Money Game Part 2!

Man in the mask is Ren's buddy Romain from The Big Push.
🤘😎 You did good
this music video make me want to buy a poncho
The guy in the mask is a band, ate from the big push
Also can make it rain, money 💰
He represents money and that's why he was always in control b telling the guy when he could play and when to stop he controlled him
Also he draws the eyes on the prisoner to me any way is home trying to open societies eyes to what it does to us.
You have to do Money Game, 1 & 2 together. ❤

Wait a minute...what about part 2?
Reaction coming soon!
Criss cross applesauce 😊
That was so cute, I immediately imagined a class of kindergartens being asked to sit criss cross applesauce to make it more fun
What do you quess UK - United Kingdom - has as a leader? 😁 ❤
WW2 was indeed started by Germany when Hitler attacked Poland. As a german, I had to correct that😅
Please react to money game part to I think its better thenbthe first one
Other countries throw journalists and other critics into jail, so why abused for evil/hate, without it, critics would be silenced.
Dude this video has much that is curious to me, definately the bat is creepy, and I am unclear on the purpose of his prisoner
criss cross i would rather have pears
or pineapple
You missed the 2. part of it bro. Go back for it😅
I think Ren doesn´t make much difference between the different presidents through the times…and England has a prime minister. And since yesterday or the day before a king 🤭. Lene61/🇩🇰
Ohoh, love your reactions and your skill for clear analysis, but of course the Germans started World War II. There's no such discussion like for WWI. And I am German, trust me 🙂
trump was in office or shortly after he left office
As humorously told in the episode "The Germans" in the TV show Fawlty Towers (ruclips.net/video/Tms0yk9kqVM/видео.html), World War 2 started because Germany invaded Poland.
(Great Britain and France declared war against Germany two days after this because they had earlier that year made a treaty with Poland to protect its integrity)
Thanks for the insight!
I think he humanized the victim by drawing eyes on it because he sees himself in there too.
On the contrary! Bag Man is "Blind Eyed"
(Easter Egg here) 👀
Ren gives him eyes so he can see what's going on around him. Become enlightened to the oppressive society he's subjected to.
