Lupita Nyong'o Was So Excited To Speak Spanish In 'Black Panther' / ew Развлечения
Her Spanish was soooooo clean! Like it wasn’t someone trying to speak it she clearly showcased her culture!!! Loved that so much and was pleasantly surprised!
Agreed.
She was born in Mexico City
@@melindarivera7567 hence him saying she was showing her culture.
She's named for la Virgen de Guadalupe under Kenyan tradition to name kids in honor of something. Her parents sent her back to Mexico to study Spanish as a teen. She's a self-described chilanga with dual citizenship.
What a beauty
Lupita I can tell you that you being there made us Mexicans who are black so happy. We not only got to see one side of Mexico represented but two sides of Mexico. The black and the native. Gracias Hermana 👏🏽♥️
Not just black Mexicans are proud of her brown Mexicans are very proud of her too
👏 Awesome 🤩 🇲🇽 Mexico loves you ❤
@@diegofonseca6708 beautifully said
@@simplysheronda ☺️
Are you black or you just have your hair like that !🇺🇸🇲🇽🇮🇹
Being bilingual is a definite skill to be proud of☺
She's way more than bilingual
@@ryankayombya7576 Yeah she speaks like 5-6 different languages
Well she is Mexican
100% percent
@@laurencameron3150 Really?
This woman is a gem to Mexicans as well we love her
That's cap 🧢 alot of r a c I s t / colorist Mexicans were saying she shouldn't claim Mexico, they were up in arms...and the Mexican govt is known for silencing and trying to erase the small black Mexican population that lives there, the govt refused to acknowledge them......r a c I s m is rampant WITHIN the Latino community. Am from latin America (I know..viva la Raza ) better the race....
Where can I see a mural of Lupita in Mexico? One should exist if she’s loved and admired there.
@@brooklynqueen7089 so I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or serious but to answer your question; mija she’s black. You really think the elite powerful colorists of Mexico are going to do something like that for a Mexican of color? Look how they’re hating on Tenoch for speaking out on sensitive matters and because they didn’t cast a white Mexican as Namor. Does that answer your question lady?
I’m guessing you probably don’t even know Lupita is a Mexican born citizen she was born in Mexico but she grew up in Kenya. And at age 16 I think was when she went back to Mexico. She loves Mexico too. And Mexicans love her right back. Now if you don’t believe me that’s your problem. Do your own research.
@@brooklynqueen7089 murals aren’t the only way to be appreciated. You’re being extra af….
@@diegofonseca6708 Which is crazy because a white Namor makes no sense. The whole point is he is Native.
There were so many languages spoken in 'Wakanda Forever' and I really appreciated that diversity (and the subtitles) 😂
Mainly the only other one was Spanish lol
@@dre6616 there was obviously English and Spanish spoken, but there was also Xhosa, French, and Mayan. Lupita spoke all 5 in the movie
As a Mexican born So proud that she was born in mexico and lived a portion of her life there
My jaw dropped in the theater when her Spanish came out 😲 Like it’s possible for me to like her more than I already do?
She Is A Gift That Keeps On Giving Period.
Yes, dear. 🙂
@@moniqueloomis9772 that was so polite
😘 It's my pleasure and joy. 🙂
I loved that part in the movie. Finally getting to hear her speak Spanish. I forget sometimes she was born in Mexico. Love you Lupita
That's something I never knew I assumed she was born in congo or Nigeria hmm Interesting

Kenyan queen that was born in Mexico... Her Kenyan father was doing business in Mexico when she was born. So she speaks Spanish and her native language Swahili.. and she gorgeous too. I'm Kenyan 2 and Lupita a diamond🇰🇪⭐😍😍

i am from Tamaulipas and i love her ❤️
She's so beautiful , intelligent and classy
I can't hear anything she says all I think about is her skin FLAWLESS. This is what you call PURE NATURAL BEAUTY
Shes so pretty I’m like always like 😍when I see her
This is going to open a whole market for her, and I am here for it! She deserves every success!
Im watching it in Mexico and EVERYONE in the audience was in awe of her Spanish!!
Why? She's from Mexico 🤦🏾♀️
@@deehines5750don’t act dumb you know why ! That would be like hearing an Asian speak Spanish so fluently. So stop playing stupid so annoying.
@@dre6616 It's not even comparable because she was born and raised in Mexico. Keep reaching and pretending like it isn't ignorance and backhanded compliments though.
@@deehines5750 because they didn't know, damn.
@@mariakhan7986 nah but their assumptions are based in anti-Blackness. It will be an Afro-Latino born and raised and they’ll still be so shocked that the person speaks perfect Spanish simply based on skin color.
Lupita represents Mexico 🇲🇽 very well. So proud 👏
The enthusiasm on both sides of her is overwhelming! Lol
Right! After a long day of being interviewed and asked the same questions again and again and again and being questioned on their dead colleague, they're still smiling! It's almost like that behavior is inhuman or something and a more tired look would be more realistic!
Exactly what I was thinking 🤣
Chadwick gone but not forgotten Rest In Peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️✌️
We love you Lupita de nuestro corazon🇲🇽🇲🇽🇰🇪
As soon as that scene came up, I got SO excited because I remembered this about her!
Glad I wasn't the only one... 😊

She looks so beautiful live her dress. and what?! She was born in Mexico. I did not know that. I’m excited for her too 👏🏽 👏🏽
Love Lupita❤. This movie really represents her and she fantastic in it❤️
The real one knows
she's absolutely gorgeous
I just came out of the movie theater from watching Black Panther and I gotta say, seen Lupita Nyongo speaking Spanish got me emotional and felt lots of pride. Also seen Enoch Huerta playing such a magnificent Maxican (Mayan) character was so amazing. ❤️
How was the film?
@@dannwan8537 good. See it. It was nice.
Maxicsn...I like that!
Man I felt the exact same way! I shed a tear in that scene
@iLatina - I subscribed to your channel!
It definitely showed. I had no idea of her background until I heard her speak. Her Spanish was sooo perfect!!
She spoke perfect spanish and she looked beautiful throughout the movie all of the actresses were so graceful in the film
Perfect Spanish is the Spanish from Spain
I'm in Love with these beautiful Queens, especially Lupita!
So proud of Lupita, representing Kenya on the World map. She's intelligent, beautiful n of course gifted......😍 😍 😍
She representing MEXICO first but ok whatever your wild dreams say
@@daniellaocampo1614 Her parents were born in Kenya and she lived there as well. Actually longer than she did in Mexico as she lived there for a short time as a baby and in her teens. She’s talked about her Kenyan heritage as well. She was born in Mexico and claims some of that as a part of her identity and she also claims cultural heritage from Kenya. It’s not a competition. Two things can be true at the same time. One doesn’t cancel out the other. 😅 Just like Mexican parents who immigrate to the US and their child is born there. The person was born in the US but their cultural heritage is Mexican.
@@daniellaocampo1614 parents are Kenyan and had her in Mexico.. she represents both 🇰🇪🇲🇽
@@makreviews2146 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

She is such a beautiful woman. Honestly, she was my favorite part about the whole movie. I love her assured calm demeanor through the whole thing. Strong. Fierce. All that and beauty. I hope she’s a bigger part of the next film.
It was a joy to see Lupita finally get to flex her native Spanish speaking skills on the big screen! Big props to Ryan Coogler for incorporating that into BP: WF
I am so proud to know that Lupita Nyongo is Mexican like me!
She’s Kenyan. Doesn’t matter where she’s born.
@@iammar1159 you can be both. Her nationality is Mexican while her ethnicity is Kenyan. An she shares both cultures
@@iammar1159 Please dismantle your ignorant 📦 She’s Kenyan-Mexican, you don’t have to like it. You aren’t the ocean, far from deep. Shallow puddle is more like it. Sad.
Tu habla como quieras mi Reyna. Eres bellísima en cualquier idioma.
She’s so interesting, love her so much! 🙂
She is an amazing woman , me as a Mexican man who has lived in Los Angeles, ca .
didn’t realise she was born in Mexico- I thought she just spoke Spanish really well, because her Korean was really good too in the first movie, and she doesn’t know how to speak it, just memorised a script and it sounded so good and clear 👏🏻❤
And we love her so much 🇲🇽
I was so excited the moment I saw where Talokan was located because it was a chance for Lupita to show off her Spanish and she delivered! I hope she gets more Spanish speaking roles after this because between that and her TikToks with Tenoch Huerta, she’d better! 😊
She killed it In Korean in the first one.
I love the fact they put Haiti in the movie. 🇭🇹
REAL haiti, too including the regional dialects of the language. i never knew until other natives to the country were discussing the film on reddit 😯 coogler made it very diverse!
S/o to all the Haitians 🇭🇹
She’s so beautiful
How can anybody think this woman is ugly?! She's stunning like FR!
She is so pretty, sweet face and really gorgeous! Una muñequita!!! Me cae super bien !!!
The perfect woman 💜💜💜
she really is, ughhhh 😩💜
Very few people know of her birth and ancestry, I was so excited and happy when I heard she got to explore that in black panther 😆🥰
Oh Lupita, I never seem to pass her flawless skin tone. Stunning 🥰.
WE LOVE LUPITA! ❤❤❤❤
Super cool that she's so proud of her Mexican background, no wonder her Spanish came out so well in the movie.
Fine! Chocolate! Fiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnneeee!
I absolutely love her! She legitimately seems like one of the coolest women in Hollywood today.
The other women at the table are literally looking at her like she stole their bike! Great job Lupita 💕

Her name is literally Lupita which is a Mexican Spanish name lmao
Lupita is absolutely beautiful, on so many levels.
She is Good . My family loves her
Lmfao the commander of the army is next to her like “wat does is matta “ 😂😂
I'm Central American, and knowing that Lupita (I love her name :) spoke Spanish in the movie makes me feel SO PROUD. She is a good representation of how global we are.
She also spoke mayan
She is the finest Blackxican or Afro-latina that I've seen on a tv screen.
Lupita you are a Gift and do Mexico so Proud.
Ahhh, I didn’t know she was born in Mexico!! While watching the movie I thought to myself “wow Lupita’s Spanish is AMAZING!” Her whole performance was incredible, but that particularly was what WOWed me the most, because she sounds like a native Spanish speaker.
I’ll support this woman forever Now !! She did great !!! As soon as she started speaking Spanish I knew something was up ! It sounded so authentic. I had no clue of her background! She’s in Mexican marvel fans hearts for life now !!
She’s so gorgeous and so intelligent. ❤
She's absolutely beautiful!
This woman is a Goddess!
Lupita can come and practice spanish with me whenever she wants to 🥰😍😍
She is so beautiful
Look at her face!! So beautiful
Man she is so beautiful. To hear hee speaking Spanish was awesome. I knew she was mexican born and spoke Spanish. To finally hear her Spanish was awesome

Her skin...everytime i see her I can't get over how FLAWLESS her skin is GORGEOUS
Her Spanish is great🙌💯
My jaw dropped when she did. I loved it.
My jaw dropped when she spoke Spanish that beautifully. I didn't know about her history. It makes so much sense.
lmao why the lady on the left of the screen looking at her like that 😂
Cause she's tired.
Lupita keep doing what ur doing for us all Spanish speakers. She's so much more humble and sweet and is proud of her Spanish! We need more of our Spanish speaking celebs to represent!
Lupita es un orgullo para México
She’s GOLD

Love you girl! I’m Mexican too and so proud to see you representing our heritage well in this film. 💖
When I heard her line in the movie it was soooo clean and clear!❤️ I love her for that💯❤️💯❤️💯
It should be since she actually speaks Spanish, not just memorizing for a movie role.
She is so damn pretty. My god
if i ever met her in person i dont even think i could speak. id just be like 😧❤
She is beautiful
She’s perfection
I was born in Mexico as well (US & German parents) & LOVED growing up there. I can totally grasp her enthusiasm.

Love this.. I mean this film got so many things right and highlighted a rich Mayan culture that the politics and the global agendas of the day don’t want us to appreciate .. it’s so great to see people from African and Latin heritage uniting because of what this films represent.. I hope it continues to open doors for us to see our reflection in each other.. we are the same
