@@itsfaiz2967 it's not about dropping shit , we don't drop shit in tennis. We don't put down our balls . We just put them in our pockets when we're serving. After we're done playing obviously we'd have to pick it up from the ground.
I forgot how hard it was to learn the 2nd when I was young, it's pretty much the only way I pick up a ball. Maybe not so great for my back nowadays though?
You don't have to do the many bounces. You only have to do 2. In real practice you have to bend lower to grab it and just a tad long than the bounce. The bounce is a lot faster when not done for show and gives you a bit more range so it saves you a little walking. The energy saving stuff is dumb though. Picking it up probably uses the least energy but most strain. He should have just said the other ways are a bit easier and look better
My dad always taught me the lift with my foot. I think part of the reason why he always did it was because it’s faster, and he had a bad back so it saved him further injuring himself. When you spend your whole life doing the first way, it really does become second nature.
@@luisochoa4420 your racket has to be fairly parallel to the ground, and for that, your hand is pretty much touching the ground, at that point you might as well just grab it with your hand

I never thought of this as a learned skill before. My tennis coach never taught me this. I just naturally did both of these things when I played, I thought I was just being lazy, but I can see now how it's easily overlooked and actually saves time from picking them up by hand.
Super easy to do if you use a forehand/pancake grip so that your racquet face is parallel to the ground. Then hit the ball on your strings near the top of the racket (not the center/sweetspot) and it will easily bounce up off the court 🙂
Nick, enjoy your channel always. I disagree Nintendo balls every time I bend over to pick one up I’m also doing a crunch, stretching my back and leg muscles.
Just pick up the ball like you would with a badminton shuttle. It's one motion to scoop it up onto the racket. No need to use a foot or bend down to bounce the ball several times.
@@tberry79 , I agree 100%. Doing so uses more energy than almost any other method. Besides, bending over to pick up balls is a great way to keep your back and hamstrings in shape. Just remember to do so mindfully...
For all those , who saying its not about energy, yes it does , and one other thing is here that if you playing and intense game like tennis or badminton, if you go down to pick up shuttle or ball your heads goes down to heart, and high heart rate put pressure on your brain, which can cause your sudden death or passing out
Picking the ball up with your racket and foot is by far the best way. It may seem like a tiny difference, but as a tennis player we might need to pick up anywhere from 200-500 balls a day, depending on your level of practice. Add that up per week and month, it takes a toll on your back. Bouncing the ball off the ground is a fun technique, but doesn't save the strain on your low back.
bro can power a whole city with the energy he's saving

😭😁😜😜

Indeed! So much easier to run after a ball that you've chucked four feet away than to just do a natural bending movement and pick it up 😅

He is
Yeah too much energy saved. Even is electricity bill was reduced
yeah imagine what he can do with all this extra energie - probably solve hunger crisis or at least clean the kitchen
Option 3 is hitting the ball to the other person and making them pick it up
Haha 😂 bastard
Boss move
I know that move and it's a nice way. I guess. 😊

Try bending multiple times to pick up a ball when you're playing an intense set 🙂.. you'd know then

Coach Nic picks the ball with his hand. “I love it” respond the student. “DON’T DO THAT!” coach exclaimed!LOL

That was pretty funny, wasnt it?
funny that she says i love it 😂

Man when I first started tennis I learnt these by myself
“I love it” at picking the ball up by hand????
everything is easier as a kid
Me too
I always use my foot 😂 the 2nd one is just harder than bending down to grab it, for me
Did u lose the 45 pounds
Can you explain what you are talking about?? 😂
Bro is in power saving mode 😅
😂😂
this is great advice. i saved so much energy that i turned my life around
The 3rd way literally bends over as far as the 1st. The second one is the only way.

The amount of energy saved could light up an entire city
I have done the first way of picking up a ball. It was so easy. 👍
I always do the second way, saving my back.

I'm a big fan of the foot method
YOU STILL BENDING OVER JUST AS MUCH DOING THE SECOND THING LOL
not really. you can keep your lower back straight doing it

How is the third method using less energy than just bending to pick up the ball?
It's not always energy 😂 sometimes it's about having fun and little show off too😅😂
Thank you for this!
Each of the second and third ways takes more energy and time than just picking up the ball
I find picking it up with the inside of my left foot and racquet the easiest; it feels more natural than the outside of the left foot. (right handed)
I’ll try to do it your way next time I play.
It doesn’t save much energy but it saves your back.

You could also just scoop it with the rim of the racket. It's pretty hard but probably the easiest if you can figure it out.

The trick is to roll it on the ground with the bottom of ur racket right before u scoop it and use the edge to make it bounce onto the middle.
With that saved energy he will launch a rocket 😂😂
Lmaooo you imagine if you paid tennis lessons and this is the only lesson of the day 😂
Good coaching.
This was actually quite hard to do. But once I figured it out and did it, it's extremely easy to do even after not playing the game for a while

I just hit it to my opponent for him to pick up. Saves the most energy
I always pick the ball up with the foot like he does. Love it.

Save aura: ✅

Boris Baker did it poetically 💐
