Being 59 yrs of age.. if my only child has to go abroad for work and I can't take care of my self ..i rather go to a good home.. but make sure he calls me every day.
@@sujatagarud3162 Children are in touch with them/manager of old age home and periodically visits physically too. Time to change the traditional mindset of society about old age homes.
Money is not everything.... Don't send parents to old age home... Same thing will repeat for us in the future. True love is our parents love, don't forget.

On my retirement I went to a vruddhashram to offer my services voluntarily. Why should I depend on my child to drop me there?
Sometimes elderly people are better off in old people homes. They are often abused and neglected in their own home..
The kid comes home in the evening
The kid is not abandoned, here the parents are almost dumped there and soon forgotten.

There isn’t any comparison between these 2 scenarios. Kids do come home in the evening.
