I really liked the fact that she ended up being a 'normal' person. That this crazy experience didn't affected her ability to engage in life with a positive outcome.
The sentence should be longer, she tried to kill two children and their mother and kidnapped a baby. I think a life sentence would be more fitting, if she wanted a child so bad there are thousands of children in need that can be adopted legally.
Not only did she deny them 6 years of their daughters life, she also endangered the life of their sons. The brave mother suffered Burns trying to save them, and much more losing her daughter.

For sure, kids are surprisingly quick to adapt to new situations but with something like this it could've gone a lot worse. I'm just so glad that Delimar was able to reunite with her real parents and live a good life
My first thought as this was unfolding was like 'man, I do NOT want to be that kids therapist' but this is a great case that's going to go down in history teaching us how to handle traumatic events like this and others.
And, naturally, i goofed and made my last comment before i got to the end of the video...where we find out she really got out after 9 years, and a "lifelong ban" on contacting her and her family.... And let's be real, we've seen how well restraining orders, etc. have worked for people in the past... Ugh this country is truly infuriating.
And it's her second arson... she has no problem commiting arson as long as she needs to. Authorities should have kept her locked up or at least be keeping an eye for her rn....
My problem with the time she received in jail is that she potentially could have killed 3 other people in that fire. The fact that she didn’t give that any thought tells me how selfish she is. I’m so glad the mom never gave up! Great ending for this family.
More than 3. The fire could have easily spread to neighbor's houses - which if the video is factual or an accurate representation, were extremely close or shared walls.
It's unfortunate that there wasn't enough evidence to charge that slime with arson. That surely would greatly increase her prison sentence because she would have been charged with a slew of crimes. I don't know why she had such a light sentence. Unfortunately Delimar's parents probably did not know that they could have testified at the parole hearing to keep that b1tch in jail. It's great that Delimar is having a good life.
I agree 100% she put not only a family of 3 lives in danger, the fire could have spread to adjacent buildings. That clearly was premeditated and attempted murder if I've ever seen a clearer case. No way enough jail time. Total disregard for lives. Selfish and criminal.
When she said “you’re my mom” I nearly broke down. No doubt this follows her for the rest of her life but what a great way to start a relationship with your real mom. Such an interesting story as always :)
I'm crying like a baby over here at that comment. I'm not a mum but just putting myself in her shoes, i would be a complete mess seeing my baby girl call me mum after all those years.
SAMEEEE and I was applying mascara 😅 I’m a mess but that line, just hit me a wave of emotions out of nowhere! So happy this story had a happy ending 🙏🥹
I'm shocked that the mother had only spent a few days with her newborn daughter before she was taken, yet 6 whole years later she recognized her immediately. That's really impressive.
Honestly, I think she always suspected the kindapper, because of how she was the last stranger around. However, when she saw a little girl who was the same age and looked similar to her own other children... As she never accepted her daughter's death, it makes sense that she would at least hope that it could be "that simple".
Being a mum is a weird biological thing that brings out deep primal instincts. I can’t explain it but you just know things without having logical reason for it.
@@GG-jn4dxyou’d think. I hadn’t seen my mom from the age of 3-17. Never spoke to her, didn’t know if she was alive or dead. Found her, went to meet her at her job, she just stared at me, looking annoyed and was like “ can I help you?” While rolling her eyes. Didn’t tell her & left.
she’s so beautiful. when you mentioned her jumping out and surprising her mother when they first met i couldn’t help but tear up. im sure it’s been really rough on her mentally and emotionally growing up, no matter how good her childhood was, the psychological damage that must have done is terrible. but im glad she seems to be doing well and happy. she’s such a strong young woman 🥹
Taking some of the baby's hair was not weird at all, when you first said it I immediately thought of how genius of a move that was! A mother's instinct is usually 97.9% correct 😂
With the context it makes total sense, but I think he just meant imagining a relative going up to a child at a family function and collecting their hair seems really weird from an outside perspective. And imagine being the people who ran the test... "I saw this child at a family function who I swear is my daughter even though everyone says she's dead so I took some of her hair and brought it with me". Thank god they humored her.
The fact that delhimar shouted suprise and said “yes your my mommy” that’s literally must have been the best moment for luz.-. A daughters and mothers bond can never be broken ❤
The series "Cold Case" made an episode based on this case called "The Ghost of my Child". Great episode of a great series. It's how I first found out about the case.
I live in Philly and this story was huge. You really have to question the investigation of the fire, seemed like it was just rubber-stamped. I remember Luz's beaming smile on the news -- she was so happy!
She literally is stunning! 😍 It gives me chills how the real parents intuition was sooo strong that they just knew she was their daughter, even though she was only 10 days old when she was kidnapped. That’s absolutely amazing.
When you think of all the children in foster care in need of loving homes, this is even more heartbreaking, but also shows the kidnapper’s selfishness.
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 think about it, so many children without parents can be adopted or fostered, and she goes for the one who has a home full of love
@@claude3429 Well is there a reason why she kidnapped her and not a foster kid? Was it because of bad stereotypes, was it taboo, maybe a racist motive, or could it be because foster kids aren't as influenced as newborns?
I can only imagine Delimar will be watching this, and to you ma'am I say I'm sorry this happened to you, but anyone can see you've grown in to a beautiful woman complete with an even more beautiful family. I wish you well.
Hi Coffee House Crime. Happy she was reunited with her Mom. I can speak from experience, that this is the best feeIing I had after reuniting with my daughter when she came home, from going through medical treatment & living in another state. Adrian you are awesome, see you on the next show, love, Janine Smiley✌😀😍😘😎😇☕🍩☕🍰🎵🎶🦓
This low-key reminds me of how my great grandma was convinced my grandmother had a twin that was stolen at the hospital. And the fact that family and friends over the years saw my grandma in locations where she definitely couldn't have been a couple of times in 60 years just gives the theory more credit.
Omg it makes you wonder how many were actually taken or parents told one twin died or something just to be taken 😮😢 it bet it happened a bit back in the day.
I know someone recently who had Pseudocyesis. It was so heartbreaking to watch them believe they were pregnant. If they don't want to seek help, all anyone can do is wait and see what they do.
I met someone who went through it as well... it's heartbreaking when they eventually realise (after not giving birth and medication/therapy) there's never been a baby... my friend never stole a baby though, that is next level!
Man, this was certainly a shocking case. So much happening in one go! It’s genuinely upsetting that all of this has happened, especially the fire and the baby theft. The mother is mighty tough to never give up on her daughter, despite everything. Really smart to use bubblegum to get Delimars’ hair + identifying her daughter with DNA. Taking the mental condition into consideration, Caroline is mega f***ed for doing all that. Kidnapping Delimar, setting ablaze the house and trying to sabotage the second DNA test? Man… that’s really messed up. Thank goodness she got arrested. Thank goodness that all is well with the family and I wish Delimar, her mother and her family all the best in the future and beyond. Honestly Adrian, very well made video again. So much thought and love has been put in. Keep up the good work. I’m sure that the Coffehouse Crime Club loves your work and will continue to do so!
as a Puerto Rican - just a few things I needed to say: "Luz" is pronounced like "LOOZ", it means "light". and Puerto Ricans are not really immigrants to the states, as the US took control of the country long long ago and we are technically US citizens whether we were born on the island or on the mainland. its a common misconception and not a big deal, just thought I'd add! Great content as always. Been a fan since day 1
it has everything to do with the story bc it's one of the main people involved but okay lol God forbid I use an opportunity to make sure my people are represented correctly 😂 costs nothing at all to be nice and learn but okay cool miss ma'am hope you enjoyed being salty for two minutes and accomplishing nada ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ty for the laugh lmao
That poor mum!!! She fought so hard, well done. Why would they not listen to her? Space heater yet window is open? She’s not daft just because of a language barrier! Delimar is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so pleased she, her mum & brothers got to all be together.
Yeah pretty shoddy work by the investigators. Makes me think they just didn’t want to look into it further so just washed their hands of it by saying “Well I guess she was just incinerated into absolutely nothing!”
@@Angel-vv9xo authorities only work on a case half ass and then closed the case if it’s not their family. Bet if it’s one of their family members, all hell will break loose and the authorities will be all up on it.
@@M1985- she was sentenced 9 to 30 years, but she was released after only nine. That is way too lenient. This also caused the break up of a marriage, which can be detrimental to the children as well.
The fear and terror this mother went through... not just with the fire, but not knowing where her daughter is. Feeling crazy for not accepting her "death". Going with her gut and doing that DNA test, knowing it may not be the answer she was looking for. Being afraid she wouldn't be able to take her daughter home from CPS after she FINALLY found her... ugh. Its heart breaking. That God they were reunited ❤
9 years? That is nowhere near enough time, but I'm glad there's a no contact order in place. Hopefully, she stays away from everyone involved. Delimar is a beautiful young lady and it's wonderful that there was a happy ending, after such a traumatic and devastating beginning. Thanks, Adrian this was a nice change of pace and (as always) you never disappoint! Love from Alabama ❤️
I don't think it did, and she probably went out of the country and is hiding. I pray she's not up to doing it again. She should've been put in an institution. She is not safe around any child.
I’m so happy that Delimar was reunited with her loving Mother, what a beautiful family. Sending love - Good conquers bad when we exercise our goodness together!
This reminds me of a story here in South Africa, of a 3 day old baby (Zephany Nurse) kidnapped from hospital. Her biological sister befriended her at school and at the age of 17, she found out that her "mother" was not who she thought she was. This shows you the terrible trauma experienced by all of them, as they grapple to come to terms with the past actions of the woman who kidnapped her.
I read her book - it was very interesting, because in that case she was just too old for reunification :/ She still sees her kidnapper as her mother and doesn't seem too fond of her biological parents. I hope in this case at 6 she was really able to adapt to the new situation and embrace her family.
@David Owen I'm writing a historical romance fiction book, based during the Anglo Boer War, where a newborn is abducted by a woman and raised as her own daughter. Twenty years later, the biological father traces his daughter, and when he listens to the 'mother's' reasons why she took his baby, he realizes she had no option, and that she did the best she could in their unique situation. There's many twists and turns in this story. However, in reality, there are many cases of kids being abducted from their biological parents. Its great knowing this family had a happy ending. Thanks Adrian, love your channel.
Wow..this story actually made me emotional lol The "Surprise!" And "do you know who I am?.." "you're my Mom" got me 🥹 I do like these occasional breaks in murder stories and given somewhat of happy endings. Best True Crime channel out there. Keep it up!
Personally, I have no problem with seeing more cases like this one that don't involve murder or death & have at least a somewhat happy ending. Multiple crimes were committed, so it still counts as "true crime." It was a nice change of pace & it was quite uplifting to see Delimar's instagram account at the end as it seems she is thriving.
While it was a stroke of inspiration to get the little girl's hair sample for a DNA test, it's baffling that Luz didn't suspect Caroline all those years before since she was convinced the baby was stolen and Caroline was there just moments before she went missing! A little detective work at that point would have revealed Caroline suddenly had a new baby, and had they managed the DNA test then, they could have gotten Delimar back six years sooner!
She would have had to convince someone in authority to perform the test, investing several hundreds of dollars on poor brown people who did not speak English well. Sad, but that's the way it is. It would not have happened had Luz and Pedro been wealthy, white, and lived in an affluent neighborhood.
Caroline had been lying to a ton of people and saying (and believing) she was pregnant for months, and said she was almost 9 months pregnant when she stole Delimar and set the fire. No one suspected anything including Luz because they all thought she had just had HER OWN baby around the same time. But in reality she didn't have a kid, she couldn't. It's in the video....
@@rudra62 Well, no, the first thing she would have to do is convince the cops that the woman likely took her baby. Since there was a lack of human remains in the fire, that should have prompted an investigation and probably would have if Luz didn't come across as hysterical and had just pointed them in the right direction. Even a simple check on Caroline would have revealed: 1) That she suddenly had a baby that even her own husband couldn't explain. (Also wouldn't Luz and Pedro be able to recognize the baby as their own?), and 2) A background check would show a previous arson conviction -- just like the fire in this case. At this point there would be enough evidence to justify a DNA test (paid for by the county/state).
@@Finians_Mancave yeah wasn't it obvious that that specific woman must have stole her baby? not sure how she got away with it for 6 years just for Delimar then to be at a family party that Luz was invited
I have to admit, as a true crime fan these stories of survival are refreshing to hear about. It goes to show that not every crime story has to end in tragedy to be interesting.
Been through a house fire…it’s devastating.🥺 Luckily, I woke up in time to get everyone awake & out.🙏. I can’t & don’t want to imagine what could have happened if not.
We had a fire when I was a kid, I only remember my mom taking me and my brother through a window, because she slightly bumped my head over the frame and I got angry, because I was woken up in the middle of the night, didn't know what's happening and now got bumped over head. My grandma and great grandma were cut off on the top floor and had to be saved through balcony. There was 7 people in the house and we're all alive only because the our dog started barking like crazy when it sensed danger. I can't imagine what they all had to feel as adults understanding the situation and knowing how many people there are between two floors, but not knowing what happened to each other. If it wasn't for the dog, three generations of our family might've just vanish.
@@Monika-bc3dq I’m glad all of you made it out. I know there were at least 3 days that I don’t remember. It’s been 10 years now but I still can’t talk about it without breaking down. I’m glad you were young enough to not understand exactly what was going on.
@@Justin9700 remarkable animals aren't they? Because it had doggy door, but instead of running away, he made sure the people were woken up. Idk if there's a similar saying in English, but in Poland we have a saying that would translate to "loyal like a dog", which is so true. They love us as much as we love them.
I’m grateful she was finally reunited with her parents. With Delimar speaking primarily English, hopefully her dear mother never had to deal with another language barrier issue. It’s so frustrating that in Philadelphia of all places there weren’t any translators around to help these people out. So very sad that Delimar’s parents split up, but so glad there was finally a happy ending to this story. ❤️😎
Absolutely brilliant as usual, quite frankly i watch your channel because you are fair, knowledgeable and entertaining. While you present your stories in a compassionate manner that makes the horror of some of your stories easier to watch ,i must admit i quite enjoyed this story with a much happier ending.
Taking some of Delimar's hair was smart and understandable. I would've done the same. Tears flooded my eyes when I saw her Instagram, what a beautiful young lady. So happy she was reunited with her mom and family❤
As a person that has lived in many countries all my life, and having to learn a new language as a result, I do not believe that Pedro did anything wrong here. Carolyn (sp?) is the only true monster in this story. Wonderful tale, and yes it’s great to have a “happy ending”….or at least not a murder once and a while. Thank you and I’d love to see more. Your work is great.
Well, as a naturalized American who had to learn English as did my parents, it is very odd to hear that when a child born in a major US city's hospital, there was no one available to translate a basic place to sign. Pedro's not 'at fault', but it's strange. (Philly's just 3 hrs from me)
@@victrola2007 I can see your point. But I also remember needing someone to translate for me, and that person not being available..sometimes hospitals are just too busy. Especially in a General Hospital.
Sound crazy that man has two other kids so what made it confusing about the third one that he didn’t want to sign the birth certificate??? it’s kind of giving he’s a suspect
Hey all, I remember my late Mother explaining that when she was pregnant with me, there was a lady who actually thought she was pregnant but sadly if was all in her head. Wow this is such a tragic tale, I'm glad that a happy ending was the conclusion. Always respectful and always with a lil humour

Of course you're free to make these kind of videos in between! It's always good to see a happy end after all the hurt some people caused to the famillies.
Thanks for the happy ending, Adrian! Delamar is a beautiful woman. I hope she and her real family are healthy & happy. They all deserve at least that. 💜
Unbelievable is an understatement. What a miracle. It’s so nice to hear a story that doesn’t include losing a life. It would be a beautiful world when we no longer have to hear horrific stories. Although we still appreciate your skillful storytelling. 😃
Excellent Story Adrien!! It is refreshing to hear a story where no death occurred. Your stories are always awesome and I enjoy them very much!! Kudos and keep up the great work!
Greetings! Thank you for telling us this case. I am so glad it ended as well as could be expected. I am so glad that Luz and Pedro were finally able to have their daughter back. And how wonderful to see the trauma has not kept Delimar from excelling in her field.
I found myself grinning from ear to ear at the great ending of the story. Sort of gave me chills when Delamar realized who her real mom is. Very unusual story, thank you Adrian.
Much respect for portraying such unbiased information about these cases and allowing the viewer to formulate their own ideas along the way. Keep up the great work and would love to see more from ya kid.
I agree, it was really nice that this didn't have murder involved and had a relatively happy ending. I am so glad the mother never gave up and didn't let it break her.❤
What a beautiful reunion and the fact everything turned out well it brought a smile to my face! It's not often we find an happy ending to true crime stories it definitely was satisfying to watch
Her sentence was not near long enough, irrespective there are instances - as you correctly state - where murderers got lighter sentences. What she did was unspeakably evil. For, not only did she steal the baby and thus denied the real family of 6 precious and formative years of that child's life, but she used arson to cover her crime, and thus endangered the lives of those who braved the fire, trying to find a baby that was not even in the home. That devil should rot in prison, which quite frankly is much better than the thought I have in mind.
I remember this story well. The story was all over the news for months. I really felt for the mother, especially as it took awhile for it to be settled. Caroline fought giving up the little girl.
Didn't mind the change in the story topic simply because you're such a great storyteller! Sometimes we don't realize how much we need a break from the regular content until it's presented. Kinda refreshing. Well done Adrian!
Brilliant job here, Adrian. Your phrasing in both narration and videography is spot on. Thank you for shining your Light on this more sublime story. Pyromania is not a symptom of false pregnancy. Aw this story gave me all the feels 😭 I've watched a lot of kidnapped baby stories that resulted in a reunion and unfortunately several of them resulted in the child not connecting emotionally with their birth parents. Seeing how Delimar was able to resume her life with her real family is so amazing and beautiful. Luz is an amazing mama and this story is very inspiring. Thank you Coffeehouse Crime for the video!
I agree that it was nice to hear a story where no one died. What a tragic story, the poor mother and daughter. Nine years isnt a long time but the abductor was obviously suffering from severe issues. The thought of a mother’s baby disappearing is heartbreaking.
I am so delighted to hear this story has a happy ending. Good on the mom for never backing down and trusting her motherly instincts! Delimar is absolutely beautiful and it's great to see she now has a happy family of her own. Sending well wishes to all. Except for the nutbag that stole Delimar in the first place.
This episode of Coffee House Crime made me break down and cry when he said the girl came out of the table and said "Surprise " following with "Your my mother". Theres a God out there 🙏🏻.
Thank you Babble for sponsoring Coffeehouse Crime we love your support for this outstanding channel. I don't think she had any help from the father, and I don't think she spent enough time behind bars for stealing a newborn baby and making the parents believe the child was dead/try to make them believe it. I'm very glad to see that the extremely beautiful Delimar has not allowed her 1st six years of life to define her and that she is happy and enjoying life now. Great video Adrian, thanks from Oz xxooxx
omg I was thinking the exact same thing. I was listening on the way to work and was like "I've never heard someone with the name luss before". And to anyone who's curious, "Luz" means "light" in spanish.
I'm not even hispanic but hearing him say "Luss" 1600 times got SO annoying. Would've been nice if he actually googled a pronunciation audio or that PR is a U.S. territory lol

she’s so beautiful. when you mentioned her jumping out and surprising her mother when they first met i couldn’t help but tear up. im sure it’s been really rough on her mentally and emotionally growing up, no matter how good her childhood was, the psychological damage that must have done is terrible. but im glad she seems to be doing well and happy. she’s such a strong young woman 🥹
I was thinking that maybe Delimar new that Carolyn wasn't her real mom.
I’m so happy she got reunited with her Mom and Dad! ❤
The fact that delhimar shouted suprise and said “yes your my mommy” that’s literally must have been the best moment for luz.-. A daughters and mothers bond can never be broken ❤

I know! Its so heartwarming❤
This kind of story is one that you'd think would only be in telenovelas. These stories without gruesome ending are always welcome!
Telenovelas-NoVerLas
😆
Actually this was made into movie. I first saw it on lifetime.
Movie is Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story. I would recommend it
The series "Cold Case" made an episode based on this case called "The Ghost of my Child". Great episode of a great series. It's how I first found out about the case.
Well, you know what they say, truth is stranger than fiction!
When you think of all the children in foster care in need of loving homes, this is even more heartbreaking, but also shows the kidnapper’s selfishness.
how's the kidnapper selfish?
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 think about it, so many children without parents can be adopted or fostered, and she goes for the one who has a home full of love
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 how about a challenge? How is the kidnapper NOT selfish?
@@claude3429 Well is there a reason why she kidnapped her and not a foster kid? Was it because of bad stereotypes, was it taboo, maybe a racist motive, or could it be because foster kids aren't as influenced as newborns?
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 she set fire to the house and nearly killed the girls brothers… she’s evil.
Delimar is not her name but family name...
This low-key reminds me of how my great grandma was convinced my grandmother had a twin that was stolen at the hospital. And the fact that family and friends over the years saw my grandma in locations where she definitely couldn't have been a couple of times in 60 years just gives the theory more credit.
Have any of you tried an ancestry DNA test? Maybe if grandma had a twin out there you could find someone connected to her.
You should look into it.
Omg it makes you wonder how many were actually taken or parents told one twin died or something just to be taken 😮😢 it bet it happened a bit back in the day.
Mate... That actually happened it's well known it happened
I feel sad for your great grandmother who I’m sure is deceased by now (going by the past tense you use). I bet she was right.
The lady I knew said she got a puppy and got better after that..
Its heart breaking how sick in the head some ppl really is like my friend jenny
Thank you so much!! That’s coffee sorted for the week! ☕️🙌🔥 I really appreciate it! :) see you again in the next one later today!
as a Puerto Rican - just a few things I needed to say: "Luz" is pronounced like "LOOZ", it means "light". and Puerto Ricans are not really immigrants to the states, as the US took control of the country long long ago and we are technically US citizens whether we were born on the island or on the mainland. its a common misconception and not a big deal, just thought I'd add! Great content as always. Been a fan since day 1
@@PazuzuM666 lmao go to sleep sis
Glad I scrolled down and saw your post --- saves me from stating that PR's are US citizens.
They are not, but they surely feel like they are immigrants.
Especially after every hurricane. *cough potus cough*
Thanks! Came here to say the same thing. I figured he'd want to learn how to pronounce the name correctly :)
it has everything to do with the story bc it's one of the main people involved but okay lol
God forbid I use an opportunity to make sure my people are represented correctly 😂 costs nothing at all to be nice and learn but okay cool miss ma'am hope you enjoyed being salty for two minutes and accomplishing nada ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ty for the laugh lmao
This story genuinely made me furious. That poor child and her family. I’m glad it had a happy ending.
That poor mum!!! She fought so hard, well done. Why would they not listen to her? Space heater yet window is open? She’s not daft just because of a language barrier! Delimar is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so pleased she, her mum & brothers got to all be together.
A mother NEVER forgets the face of her child. Good for Luz for following her intuition❤. Ty Adrian for the varied content. Much appreciated.
I am so glad Delimar was able to grow up happy with her true family
I knew she was alive when they said she was cremated in a 14 minute house fire.
Not even a small baby can be reduced to nothing in 14 minutes
Yeah pretty shoddy work by the investigators. Makes me think they just didn’t want to look into it further so just washed their hands of it by saying “Well I guess she was just incinerated into absolutely nothing!”
You watch too much tv
Correct!
@@stargater2892 you should read more books.

“Surprise!” Lovely how her six year old daughter made it easier for her real mother in the end. Just lovely!❤️
Seriously just serving 9 years??? WTH!
I'm just so glad that Delimar's story has a beautiful ever after.
9-30 years.
@@M1985- she was sentenced 9 to 30 years, but she was released after only nine. That is way too lenient. This also caused the break up of a marriage, which can be detrimental to the children as well.
Agreed I think she definitely should of had longer in jail.
Delimar is not her name but family name...
You've been really good about covering lesser known cases. It's refreshing to have a case with a happy ending.
I hope those 9 years made a difference and she became a better person. And so happy for the mom and daughter’s reunion.
I don't think it did, and she probably went out of the country and is hiding. I pray she's not up to doing it again. She should've been put in an institution. She is not safe around any child.
She also has never shown remorse
Doubt it. Some people are incapable of feeling remorse.
So glad to hear delimar turned out ok and this didn't ruin her life. The lady that kidnapped her should have had a life sentence
I’m so happy that Delimar was reunited with her loving Mother, what a beautiful family. Sending love - Good conquers bad when we exercise our goodness together!
Thank you for being such a good story teller, respectful and informative x
Thank you so much Esmeralda! I really appreciate it! 🙏
Is the Netflix series Blood & Water about her?
@@simmieyah Yes - though the story is just loosely based on the true events, I believe
@@z.z.1876 Thanks!
Thanks for including how well Delimar has faired after what happened in her childhood! It’s reassuring to see how things can end well.
Wow..this story actually made me emotional lol The "Surprise!" And "do you know who I am?.." "you're my Mom" got me 🥹 I do like these occasional breaks in murder stories and given somewhat of happy endings. Best True Crime channel out there. Keep it up!
This story is nuts. It really makes you think of how different people's lives can be.
@@rudra62 Typical racist victim mentality.
What a beautiful lady she has turned into I’m so glad she and everyone involved had a happy ending in the end ❤
You're by far one of my favorite channels on youtube, with murder stories and other content. Keep up the good work
Been through a house fire…it’s devastating.🥺
Luckily, I woke up in time to get everyone awake & out.🙏. I can’t & don’t want to imagine what could have happened if not.
Glad you and your loved ones made it. Must suck, but you can get new things.
@@Monika-bc3dq My dad was saved by my dog waking him up during a house fire as well.
@@Justin9700 remarkable animals aren't they? Because it had doggy door, but instead of running away, he made sure the people were woken up. Idk if there's a similar saying in English, but in Poland we have a saying that would translate to "loyal like a dog", which is so true. They love us as much as we love them.
Damn this was a PHENOMENAL case after a rough work day. This warmed my heart man.
Sadly I could see where this story was going early on in the story, so, so pleased she was ok and reunited with her parents xx
As a mother you know when your looking at your child. Weve seen this many times before. Thank god this had a happy ending!
When Adrian described their reunion, I burst into tears. Delimar sounds like she’s such a sweet girl. I hope she’s thriving in life now
While a heart wrenching case, it was so delightful to wake this day up to you telling a story that ultimately comes with a good ending. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant as usual, quite frankly i watch your channel because you are fair, knowledgeable and entertaining. While you present your stories in a compassionate manner that makes the horror of some of your stories easier to watch ,i must admit i quite enjoyed this story with a much happier ending.
Delimar jumping out from under the table shouting 'surprise' would have melted me 🥺
Taking some of Delimar's hair was smart and understandable.
Or deaths of any kind.
This was the best! Thank you 🙏

Wow! Adrian I really enjoyed this story. I'm crying Happy tears. Thank you for covering this xxx
What a pos Caroline was... I mean not just manipulative and a liar but also such a cruel narcissist...
Wow! I'm so glad they were all reunited and Delimar seems to have come out as a strong young woman. This could so easily have screwed her up for life!
Didn't mind the change in the story topic simply because you're such a great storyteller! Sometimes we don't realize how much we need a break from the regular content until it's presented. Kinda refreshing. Well done Adrian!

I agree that it was nice to hear a story where no one died. What a tragic story, the poor mother and daughter. Nine years isnt a long time but the abductor was obviously suffering from severe issues. The thought of a mother’s baby disappearing is heartbreaking.

I love Babble been learning Korean through the app and it’s done wonders for my pronunciation. No wonder they partnered with such an eloquent speaker.
Two small things!! “Luz” is pronounced more like “loose” in Spanish!! And Puerto Ricans don’t immigrate to the US, we’re born US citizens. 😅
omg I was thinking the exact same thing. I was listening on the way to work and was like "I've never heard someone with the name luss before".
And to anyone who's curious, "Luz" means "light" in spanish.
Came to the comments hoping someone had mentioned this; thank you!
I'm not even hispanic but hearing him say "Luss" 1600 times got SO annoying. Would've been nice if he actually googled a pronunciation audio or that PR is a U.S. territory lol
Right, thanks for letting that be known
I'm glad you commented this because I was about to! I was just a few seconds into the video and paused to see if anyone else caught that. LMFAO!
I have a problem with them being called immigrants from Puerto Rico. It makes Puerto Rico seem foreign, but it's an American territory, and Puerto Ricans are American citizens.
