OMG This brings back fond memories of a Christmas where I had Bullet Man and the G.I.Joe Intruder on my Christmas lkist to Santa and Both figures were iner our Christmas Tree. When I tore open the Christmas wrapping paper and saw Bullet man I was the happiest kid. Thank you for this Restoration video.
Ive just started collecting toys from my childhood and thanks to your channel, rather than spending huge amounts on complete near perfect versions, im picking up ones with issue and missing broken bits and restoring them... and ive found a new hobby by chance..... so many thanks for the inspiration 👍🏼
The “Somerset underground” bit of the intro always gets me! 😂 I imagine Toypolloi going up against villains like Jacob Rees-Mogg by building a 1:1 working tank out of styrene and modified LEGO bits, impaling JRM with multiple technic axles! 😂
The seller I bought them from scammed me unfortunately...took my money & sent a package to someone else but gave me the tracking to show that they sent something...
This is the version I had when I was a kid! It's such a great memory, thank you!! That badge looks perfect. I just searched around a little and it looks like the non-adhesive backed printer fabric would be great for making printed Lego capes!
Carlsberg don’t repair classic toys with everyday tools and parts, but if they did, they’d probably defer to Dave and admit they couldn’t come close… thanks for another superb video, Dave!
Great video! And thanks for the tip on the alligator forceps! Already in my online shopping cart, and I can tell they're going to be useful for future projects.
I loved my Bulletman toy so much as a kid; my three favorites combined: GI Joe, superheroes and the Six Million Dollar man (though I cant recall which came first. I know the GI Joe copy of the Six Million Dollar Man came out around then, maybe the year before.). I wedged that helmet onto EVERY tall toy it could fit on.
The differences in the boots shows a great difference between us and everywhere else. They will cut cost any ways they can for us stuff all in the name of the almighty profit. Who needs quality
Loved the video! :) I love the idea of these figures going through some sort of Six Million Dollar Man procedure. :) As always, a very interesting and helpful/useful video. Thanks so much for the video
Great video! Glad to see he went to a good home and you were able to get him back to how he should be! Chris was saying that he sent a decal with him but it probably fell out at some point. 😁 Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing what you do with Captain Action! We're going to a toy show in July so if you need bits and bobs, let us know!
Very impressive that that red suit did not leave a sink full of pink behind, from running dye. I've had 1990s Barbie pieces that couldn't say the same.
Good restoration! Enjoying a lot of your restoration videos recently. Also wanted to thank you for inspiring me to do a little restoration of my own: I did some repainting on a beat-up/chewed on Scotty from the MEGO Star Trek: The Motion Picture line. Not as impressive a job as your work, but I'm happy with how it turned out :)
From what I understand the US versions boots are plain because bulletman can just fly but the UK had to add some way that he's able to fly by putting the rockets on his boots. Of course that's just a theory but it does make sense. Either way they're cool boots.
The differences with the US Hasbro Muscle bodies and the UK/Canadian/European exports are: 1. The feet on the US ones have seperated toes, where the UK and European ones are molded with no seperation. 2. The US Hasbro Muscle Bodies simply say Hasbro, where the Exports have a bunch of text on back 3. The elastic is flesh colored on US Hasbro muscle bodies, where the the UK and Euro versions are usually Black. 4. On Bulletman in particular, the helmet on the US version have smaller slits, the boots are rubber and lack the rocket moldings on back, and the emblem is mounted to an angle on the jumpsuit where the UK version has the emblem at the 12 o' clock position. I have both versions of Bulletman, and I have paid quite a lot for both, as my US one is still on the Blister and the UK one has the Original box.
You're using the wrong Bullet logo for the US Bulletman. The one you need is the die cut plastic non opaque version. It also has different colors to it.
@@toypolloi if you look at bullet mans feet lying down the instep(?) the curved in part of the foot, I think is also called the median longitudinal arch is on the outer part of the foot normally they would be in the inside part of the foot
Dave, great video. Very timely. Bulletman I had this toy in 1978 I love Bulletman one of my favorites. Last week I attended Joe Fest in Augusta Georgia where I picked up a custom 4in Bullet Man action figure by Fresh Monkey Fiction. It was the first thing I bought at the show very cool. It is a show exclusive limited to 300 pieces.
I dont collect our fix classic toys, but I get such a great treat watching you fix and enjoy these old toys. Thank you for your hard work.
Thanks for watching!

That is awesome!

Patience ,persistance and a steady hand . Thanks for the show how .👍🖖
Thanks 👍
Dave , you are the Action Team Medic!! Another incredible video!
Wow, thanks!
I just got 2 eagle eye action men for a steal!! All I need to do is restring them. Thanks Dave for showing us all these repair techniques!
The seller I bought them from scammed me unfortunately...took my money & sent a package to someone else but gave me the tracking to show that they sent something...
Great job as usual. Thanks Dave.

Excellent Repair, Dave! It’s shocking how different the two figures look

I love your intros, full of great nostalgic fun. Again another great video.
Glad you like them!
Another job well done! Great work Dave!
Great job on the restoration, those new alligator forceps are a great tool.
Great repair job...and wonderful scissors, must get a pair, love a gizmo 😀

Great job and figure!
Nice work!
Thanks!
Mine is pretty and all original. Now I just need the palitoy boot version
Loved the video! :)

My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Dave
Thank you for sharing. The UK boots are definitely an upgrade.
Take care over there 😊
Thanks, you too!

Captain Action is on my list, just hunting for parts, tough in the UK to find. Thanks again!
The alligator forceps look like really useful tools.
They are!
Love your channel, mate! Just subscribed!
Very impressive that that red suit did not leave a sink full of pink behind, from running dye. I've had 1990s Barbie pieces that couldn't say the same.
It's always a risk with these old outfits, especially the bright coloured ones.

Off to find the sticky backed print on fabric!
It's worth getting. Great for this sort of thing.

Great vid. Have you done any vintage ninja turtle fixes? I'd love to see some of those.
Not yet!
I have fond memories of playing with bullet man.
Not knowing when it was produced there might be some regulation for choking small parts and if the Jet boots could separate into smaller parts
A handy way to stop the fraying of the elastic is to dab some super glue on it

The US version chest emblem is on clear vinyl, not fabric. Also the bullet is silver.
Interesting. I'll have to amend this. Easy to do. Thanks for the info.
I had the uk version
The threading REALLY didn't want to cooperate on the arms this time!
Sometimes these things are a pain to do. Having the camera in the way doesn't help either.
Dave I think it time for a New Magic Sponge eraser
Ha ha. Use it to the last, that's my way.
20:24 are bullet mans feet on the wrong legs?
How do you mean ?
@@toypolloi if you look at bullet mans feet lying down the instep(?) the curved in part of the foot, I think is also called the median longitudinal arch is on the outer part of the foot normally they would be in the inside part of the foot
is there nothing he can’t fix
My life
Lego may help. That fixes a lot of things 🤔
You made a mistake on the sticker. On the US version the bullet should be silver not red like the UK.
Thanks. I will update it.
@@toypolloi thx.
I repaired my childhood bulletman with your methods which my dad picked up for me back in 1978 from a discount bin.
